There is no moderate Islam in the mosques or in Mecca. You won’t find it in the Koran or the Hadiths. If you want to find moderate Islam, browse the newspaper editorials after a terrorist attack or take a course on Islamic religion taught by a Unitarian Sociologist wearing fake native jewelry.

You can’t find a moderate Islam in Saudi Arabia or Iran, but you can find it in countless network news specials, articles and books about the two homelands of their respective brands of Islam.

2. Iran prepares to attack Israel again with Hamas:

3. Islamic State Beheads 2nd Captive Lebanese Soldier

 Zeinab Noun said her 20-year-old son, Abbas Medlej, was “sacrificed” after supporters of the militant Sunni group posted images appearing to show a captured Lebanese soldier before and after he was beheaded.

“My son was sacrificed,” said Noun, clutching a passport-sized photo of her son, a handsome, smooth-faced young man.

Medlej’s maternal uncle, Abu Ali Noun, also said the photographs appeared to be of his nephew. A spokesman for Lebanon’s military said it was still investigating the incident.

Medlej would be the second captive Lebanese soldier killed by the Islamic State group, underscoring the grave challenges that face the ill-equipped Lebanese military as it fends off an unprecedented jihadi threat from Syria-based militants.

4. ‘Abuser told me to abort baby or I’d be killed… but when I fell pregnant again he let me keep it’: More than 100 teenage girls in Rotherham gave birth to their rapists’ children 

According to the Sunday Mirror, the victim, known only as Jane, was targeted as a schoolgirl in Rotherham while she was living with her parents. She described how her attacker, who was in his 20s, was driving around in his car looking for potential victims when he saw her in the street.

5. The US State Dept. does seem to have a strategy after all. To make rather amateur Youtube Videos trying to dissuade people from joining ISIS. The weird thing is, the level of production here is about the same as the level of that video the US President and Sec. State blamed for the terrorist attack in Benghazi.

  2. Sep 07 2014 – Afghan rape gang sentenced to death after national outrage

    An Afghan judge on Sunday sentenced seven men to death for the gang-rape of four women in a case that has sparked nationwide outrage, with angry protests outside the court and proceedings broadcast live on television.

    The seven men, who stood in the dock dressed in brown traditional clothing, were found guilty of kidnapping and attacking the female members of a group that was driving home to Kabul from a wedding.

    President Hamid Karzai had earlier called for the men to be hanged, and the death sentences were technically handed down for the crime of armed robbery rather than rape.

    In a trial that lasted only a few hours, the court heard that the men, who had obtained police uniforms and were armed with guns, stopped a convoy of cars in the early hours of August 23.

    They dragged the four women out of the vehicles, robbed them, beat them up and then raped them. One of the women was reported to be pregnant.

    “We went to Paghman with our families,” one victim, dressed in a burqa, told the packed courtroom.

    “On the way back, they took us. One of them put his gun on my head, the other one took all our jewellery, and the rest started what you already know.”

    As noisy demonstrators outside the court demanded the death penalty, applause erupted inside after Kabul police chief Zahir Zahir called for the men to be hanged.

    “We want them to be hanged in public, so that it will be a lesson for others,” he said.

    “We arrested them with police uniforms. They confessed to their crime within two hours of their arrest.”

    The judge said the seven had the right to appeal against their sentences.

    Women’s rights have been central to the multi-billion-dollar international development effort in Afghanistan since the end of the Taliban regime in 2001.

    Under the Taliban’s harsh version of Sunni Islamic law, women were forced to wear the all-covering burqa, banned from jobs, and from even leaving the house without a male chaperone.

    Rape and violence against women and girls was rife, according to Amnesty International, which says that Afghan women are still routinely discriminated against, abused and persecuted.

    When it was revealed that the Boston Marathon bombers attended a Cambridge, Mass., mosque, its leaders were quick to disavow their actions.

    Elder brother Tamerlan Tsarnaev’s ideology was not their own, the leaders of the Islamic Society mosque claimed. In fact, he was admonished for an extremist outburst he made during one sermon.

    So, one crackpot in a congregation. Who can blame the mosque?

    But what about eight — including a prominent member of ISIS?

  7. US State Department: UN has chosen several thousand Syrians for resettlement to America

    The United States has resettled 166 Syrians since the outbreak of the Syrian Revolution in 2011, a State Department official said on Thursday.

    Marie Harf, US state department deputy spokeswoman, said during her daily press briefing, “The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) began in mid-2014 to refer Syrian refugees in large numbers to the United States.”

    She pointed out that there are several thousands of Syrian refugees waiting to gain entry into the US, noting that the number will continue to increase.

    Harf refused to comment on the State Department’s decision not to grant visas for twelve Syrian actresses scheduled to participate in a play at Georgetown University, stating the visa records were confidential. The women planned to take part in a play entitled “Syria: The Trojan Women” during the month of September.

    In a report released last Friday, UNHCR stated that “Syria’s intensifying refugee crisis will today pass a record 3 million people, amid reports of horrifying conditions inside the country. These include cities where populations are surrounded, people are going hungry and civilians are being indiscriminately killed.”

    The report announced that the number of Syrian refugees and internally displaced Syrians now amounted to 9.5 million.

    The Commission added that more than US$2 billion is needed by the end of this year to meet the immediate needs of the refugees. Most urgently, more than 2.4 million people are expected to need support in the coming weeks to prepare for winter.
