It is interesting that many nations are considering assisting Assad to combat the Islamic State when much of the world, especially the USA, helped create the Islamic State to fight to depose Assad. Now that was money well spent.
1. Islamic state people in gun battle with Syrian forces. Frequent use of the 2 words Islam knows. Shakespeare it ain’t.
2. Bennett on BBC: “Hamas & ISIS want to create a global Chaliphite from Bagdad, Tel Aviv, to London”
“The Ceasefires mean we cease, and they fire”
(At 3 minutes this Israeli spokesman actually tells the truth about the global situation! This is, as far as I am aware, unprecedented!)
3. Facebook riddled with Australian Muslims supporting ISIS
(Perhaps this article should be read through the lens of this Sultan Knish article)
4. I believe this is a propaganda video by Iraqi Shiia brigades. Notice they are beardless. If this is a prelude to battle with the Islamic State, there are numerous mnemonic possibilities for the name of that battle indeed. This group also has infinitely better spooky war music than the Islamic State or Al-Qaeda ever did. At least 1 Hizb’allah flag on a vehicle in this video. This needs to be noted however.
5. Hamas Sermon: We Pledged before the Commanders of the Jihad to Die for the Sake of Allah
6. Video of Boko Haram leader declaring a Caliphate in Northern Nigeria. Also Daily Mail article here showing that, not to be outdone by Arabs, Boko Haram also did a large massacre, presumably to sanctify and consecrate their new ‘homeland’.
Thank you GoV., M., Wrath of Khan, and several other people who sent in very interesting and important materials, some of which I have yet to post today. So more to come.
Hamas, ISIS, Ebola.
What is the common factor?
Satan?
2/ That’s Naftali Bennett, Finance Minister, center-right-religious. He’s one of the most powerful voices in the coalition. He’ll be Prime Minister when he grows up.
He’s always speaking his mind, all the time and to anyone who’ll listen. I support his agenda, which was Bibi’s very own when he was that age. But it’s unseemly for cabinet members to squabble in public when the country’s at war.
Apropos of the above – cause I just read it, though nobody wants to muck around in the digestive tract of any political entity-
Poll: Critique isn’t a reason for firing ministers
Israeli public doesn’t think Netanyahu should sack Lieberman, Bennett amid their opinions regarding Gaza war
The Israeli government enters the weekend still reeling from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s press conference on Wednesday, in which the premier sternly criticized cabinet members’ conduct during Operation Protective Edge. Though he did not name names, it is likely that the addressees of his critique were chiefly Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman and Economy Minister Naftali Bennett.

#1 I was talking to a friend recently who said that all of the talk of the danger reminded him of the 1950s and the bomb (radiation) shelters that were built. A much better comparison is to the 1920s, there were 2 communist revolutions in Germany in that decade, the anarchist bombed wall street and other locations including the Attorney Generals house and there were attempted communist revolutions all around the world including the one in China that lasted so long. Since most schools don’t teach the history to that time period most people don’t understand how the freedom loving people of the world feared and still fear the far left.
