1. Turkey airdrops supplies to the Yazidi via Iraqi equipment

Iraqi helicopters have dropped aid supplies from Turkey to around 30,000 Yazidis who have sought shelter in the Sinjar mountains after escaping a siege from Sunni militants of the Islamic State, according to Turkey’s foreign minister Ahmet Davutoglu.
Anadaolou news agency reported that “humanitarian aid boxes from Turkey” were sent by Iraqi helicopters to the religious minority, who risk starving to death after fleeing Sinjar.
(I take back 16% of what I have thought about Turkey recently)
2. Here is the 3rd trailer for Vice News’ documentary on the Islamic State scheduled to be aired tonight on VICE.
(This should be a thing worth seeing. Hopefully it will appear on Youtube soon after)
3. New ISIS blitz drives Iraqi Christians out

KIRKUK, Iraq: Jihadists seized Iraq’s largest Christian town and surrounding areas Thursday, sending tens of thousands of panicked residents fleeing in what is being called a humanitarian disaster, officials and witnesses said.
The onslaught saw the Sunni extremist Islamic State of Iraq and Greater Syria (ISIS) extend its writ over northern Iraq and move within striking distance of autonomous Kurdistan, in one of the most dramatic developments of the two month-old conflict.
4. Iraq conflict resounds on German streets
The Iraq conflict spilled onto the streets of Herford in North Rhine-Westphalia on Wednesday evening as hundreds of members of the Yazidi faith clashed with supporters of Islamist terrorist group ISIS. […]
The anger was touched off by a fight between five Yazidi and six radical Islamists in a restaurant near Herford train station at around 4pm. The restaurant was displaying a poster inviting people to join in a demonstration in support of the Yazidi in Iraq.

6. New Anti-Israel Campaign Shows Israeli Leaders Killing Disney Characters
(Now this should be interesting. If anyone is ever looking for a good IP lawyer, just use a Disney character without permission in anything. So if Disney does not move to shut this down, it will say a great deal about that company)

A new campaign is sprouting up on Twitter, thanks to controversial French senator Nathalie Goulet, of the Union of Democrats and Independents party, who’s been promoting and praising its message.
The campaign consists of fake images depicting Israeli leaders killing iconic Disney characters, likely to tug on the heartstrings of anyone who grew up during the Disney generation – which is all of us.
Thank you M., Maria J., Richard and many people who sent in material. This is the second post if what is likely to be many. TGIF just doesn’t mean what it used to before there was a beachhead on every corner, does it?

I think Mr. Erdogan of Turkey is a secret Jihadist who thinks and believes exactly like Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi or Osama bin Laden, and I would be highly suspicious of his motives behind doing anything that might impede any Jihadist group. If he’s aiding the Yazidis it ain’t because he cares about the Yazidis – you can count on that.
And isn’t it wonderful that Mr. Obama has decided to address this issue? Apparently he’s getting down to the serious business of, “weighing all options”, as we speak. How’s that “weighing” going, Mr. President?
Maybe Chris, but he’s not interested in an ascetic life. Just the opposite I think. He’s playing Salafist now, still smarting over not being named Caliph himself.
Erdogan is MB, flirts with jihadis going off to Syria & Iraq. Also Turks make a lot of money hosting deluded wannabe monsters.
Corrupt to the marrow, this megalomaniac has been making big mistakes. All the refugees piling up inside his borders, creepy IS on the other side.
Yes. I think Erdogan is on the wrong side of history along with his pal Barack Obama. The big voice of sanity and power in the Middle East is about to be the Egypt/Saudi Arabia/Jordan/Israel entity that is rapidly forming before our eyes. If I were a Hamas leader I would be getting very drunk at this moment, due to the utter bleakness of my future…:)
Obama has supported such horror in the region that Saudi Arabia sounds like a voice of sanity. It’s true, but some of what that many-tongued voice will be saying is, “Let’s go back to the old, slow, civilized civilizational jihad which we’ve been paying you for and which has been working so well.”
You guys are right, but don’t forget this gives him good publicity in the west where he has been getting called a lot of nasty things, I will withhold forgiving him until I see what his future actions are.
Don’t sell your forgiveness cheaply. He’s bad to the bone.
I won’t, I don’t forgive tyrants easily.
Puts you in mind of Bill Whittle’s discussion of a passage in Barack Obama’s ‘autobiography,’ boy Barry sipping coke in a night club in Hawaii surrounded by pornographic Disney cartoons. (Around minute 4). “Not one of us.”
Disney’s reaction will say volumes, I wonder how many Moslem billionaires own stock in Disney?
