Richard, you’ve nailed it, The left is going all out to provide help for ISIS.
They do mention Cambodia in passing: “Assad’s crimes may not technically be classified as ‘genocide,’ […] Nor is Assad the worst mass murderer since the Nazis; the Khmer Rouge, for example, slaughtered hundreds of thousands during its reign in Cambodia.”
But for sure their target audience is the left-Western elite. Speculations about charges against Assad, under which jurisdiction, etc. point to the Brussels/ Geneva mafia. You know, the ones who failed in their attempt to take over Ukraine.
They try to implicate the Russians directly, “Soviet tactics of interrogation and mass torture of civilians,” which I doubt. Weapons yes, torturer-boots in Syria, no.
