China is experiencing a boom in the growth of the underground Christian church, which seems to not so underground anymore. Despite all of the persecution against Chinese Christians from the government, changes in society and their attitudes toward Islam are beginning to change. These are just a few of the current headlines:
2. Kenyan coastal region of Lamu hit by deadly attacks

At least 29 people have been killed in two deadly shooting attacks in Kenya’s coastal districts, the interior ministry has said.
Witnesses said heavily armed men raided a trading centre in the village of Hindi, in Lamu county, and a police station in Gamba, Tana River county, overnight on Saturday.
The Somali militant Islamist group al-Shabab said it was behind the killings.

Earlier the Somali Islamist militant group al-Shabab, which attacked the Westgate shopping mall in Nairobi last September, said it had staged an attack on Saturday evening in the coastal area. Nine people lost their lives at the Hindi trading centre in Lamu county, near the scene of attacks in which 65 people were killed last month, Mwenda Njoka, the ministry’s spokesman told Reuters.
Another 20 people were killed in another attack in the Gamba area of neighbouring Tana River county. Both counties are situated north of the port of Mombasa.
“There were two attacks in Lamu and Tana River last night. In Lamu we have nine people dead and in Tana River we have 20. The number could rise,” Njoka said by telephone.
[…] “They killed some of our colleagues and freed Muslim detainees. Some of those freed were linked to the Mpeketoni attacks two weeks ago. We still don’t know how many detainees were freed until we verify with registers at the station,” the police source who asked not to be named, told Reuters.
(So when muslim teen girls run away from home like this, are the parents proud? Let’s hope that Darwin solves this problem for us all)
The 16-year-old girls crept out of their bedrooms in the middle of the night, grabbed their passports and flew to Istanbul in Turkey.
By the time their parents found their beds empty at 8am last Thursday and called police, they were found to be on their way to Syria.
Counter-terrorism forces were then alerted when the girls contacted their family from Syria, where their elder brother is believed to be a jihadi fighter.
6. Islamic State ‘Expels Thousands in East Syria’
The jihadist Islamic State group has expelled more than 30,000 people from their homes in the eastern Syrian town of Shuheil, a monitoring group said on Sunday.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said IS had “forced out” some 30,000 residents after seizing Shuheil on Thursday from Al-Qaeda affiliate Al-Nusra Front.
(The expelled might consider themselves lucky that it seemed more expedient to expel them than to murder them as is the norm with ISIL/Al-Qaeda)

ISIS has been putting up posters throughout Mosul, one of the captured Iraqi cities, telling residents to bring their unmarried daughters to ISIS soldiers, according to a report from the Clarion Project,

How much do you want to bet that “strictly religious” Christian schoolgirls wouldn’t do that? With loving parents? Highly unlikely.
China can only improve by growing a Christian ethos. Just losing the abortion-friendly policy is a giant step in the right direction.
Has to be hard on a parent when your teenage daughters aren’t just sneaking out of the house in the night to meet some worthless boy, but to do sex-jihad with a whole caliphate. Still, the girls are “strictly religious” as you point out, so the parents must have known this day could come. It’s sort of the equivalent in a Christian home of your teenager springing on everyone that she’s becoming a nun. And the parents bred to cover such contingencies after all, with nine more at home.
If the girls live they will return home pregnant and infected with every known STD.
Yes China can only be helped by the rising number of Christians, I have read reports that say a lot of the new Christians think they main mission in life is to rid the world of Islam.
Sounds like they’re on the ball.
