Rep. Gohmert meets the mothers of kidnapped Nigerian Christians

I feel I need to correct a few of the statements made by the well intentioned, well informed and generally excellent point of view of Rep. Gohmert.

To his first point, if there were ‘peace loving muslims’ in Nigeria, they would have stopped Boko Haram the way the Israelis stop factions of Jews who decide to go all vigilante or Christians when they denounce psychos who lone-wolf out on doctors etc.

On to his second point. This religious war does in fact need to happen. The reason I say that is the muslim side is already at full scale war against the non-muslim side. They are attacking villages, taking slaves, slaughtering Churches full of people at every opportunity. The only reason, and let me stress only, that this war is not happening now, is because the other side is not fighting back. The consequences of that in the medium and long term are not hard to calculate. Rep. Gohmert says this war does not need to happen. I beg to differ. The options given to Nigeria and the non-Muslims are the classical Islamic ones.

1. Convert to Islam. Kick up a fifth of your booty to the Caliph and live under the sharia

2. Live as dhimmis. A kind of second class semi-slave non-citizen at the mercy of every whim of any muslim. As the Christians in Pakistan are now, and as any non-Muslim living in Saudi Arabia would be if there were any left.

3. War.

To paraphrase Sir Winston Churchill:

“You were given the choice between war and dhimmitude. You chose dhimmitude and you will have war.”

I think its important we do not repeat this error.

  1. The entire world is in a war of survival, unfortunately only the aggressor is fighting the war, the vast majority of the rest of the world are listening to the appeasers in power and trying to buy off the aggressors. The west has been further down and come back to win but to do this quickly we need the far left to either shut up or to support the war, since there is little chance of either thing happening we are stuck with a long term war that will last most of this century.

  2. Afghan candidate’s convoy attacked (CNN, June 6, 2014)

“At least six people were killed and more than a dozen others injured when explosions hit a campaign rally for one of Afghanistan’s two presidential runoff candidates at a hotel in Kabul on Friday, an Interior Ministry spokesman said.

The convoy of candidate Abdullah Abdullah was attacked in Kabul, spokesman Sediq Sediqqi told CNN. Abdullah and his running mates were not hurt, but the candidate’s car was severely damaged, Sediqqi said.

There were two explosions, Sediqqi said: One was a suicide attack and the other a possible roadside bomb. Video from the scene showed hotel windows blown out and police securing the area. Abdullah and Ashraf Ghani are campaigning for Afghanistan’s June 14 runoff election to succeed Hamid Karzai.

Abdullah, a former foreign minister, garnered 45% of the vote in the first round, and Ghani, a former finance minister, earned 31%…”

  3. Pakistan Taliban ‘master bomber’ gunned down amid deadly infighting (CNN, June 6, 2014)

“A suicide bombing “mastermind” in the Pakistan Taliban has been gunned down and killed in the country’s northeastern tribal region, just days after a major faction in the militant group announced it was breaking away over ideological differences.

Gunmen riding in a car attacked Ashiqullah Mehsud, a senior commander in the leadership of the group known formally as the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), in the village of Urmuz in North Waziristan on Thursday before speeding off, sources told CNN.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, while the TTP has yet to issue a statement.
Mehsud was viewed as a successor to Qari Hussain Mehsud, the militant group’s explosives expert whose notoriety includes allegedly recruiting children as suicide bombers.

Pakistani intelligence sources believe the incident is the result of internal rivalries between TTP factions…”
