More info on the soccer riots. A prelude to a ban on soccer?

I can’t help but wonder if the Ikhwan had planned these riots in order to pass a ban on soccer and other ‘Western’ entertainments in Egypt. These killings, including the shooting of soccer players, seem extreme even by Egyptian riot-standards, and as Egypt is currently the gold standard on how to hold a riot, it does pique the curiosity.

  1. That idea hadn’t occurred to me, but he does know Egypt much better then I do, if there were not started for this reason my statement in a different conversation about Morsi losing control stands. If they were started to ban western entertainment I will have to think about the idea and rethink my reactions and conclusions.

  2. Red cards are not effective on savages it seems. I blame it on the lack of Shia present in Egypt. They are reduced to killing soccer rivals to keep Allah hydrated with blood. Well, so long as Muslims are killing Muslims, it’s all good and natural I guess.
