From Romandie:

Ryad -The Egyptien President Mohamed Morsi has declared himself oposed to the military intervention led by France in Mali during a speech during the opening of an Arabic economic summit at Ryad.

“All intervention must be passive. We will not accept in any case the military intervention in Mali (…) which is of the nature of feeding conflict in the region,” declared the chief of state in front of his Arab peers.

“We do not want to have created a new home for bloody conflicts in Africa,” continued the Egyptien chief of state coming from the muslim brotherhood.?? Mr. Morsi has, however, declared solidarity with Algeria, theatre of bloody hostage taking led by a islamist commando from Mali. Algeria has authorized fly overs of it’s territory by french military planes going to Mali.

France has started, a week ago, a military intervention to aid the Malian army to stop the advance towards the south, under govermental control, Jihadist groups that are armed that occupy the north of Mali for more than 9 months.

The French army and Malian soldiers have entered Diabali on Monday and Douentza, two cities that were under islamist control, tracking and persuing the tracks of combatants linked to Al-Qaïda.
