I guess civilization is just too hard to sustain and now and again the world returns to savagery the way a dog returns to its own vomit.

The mob was angered by a supposedly blasphemous note from a teacher. That the burning happened in Lahore, Pakistan’s cultural hub, worries analysts.

A mob attacked a girls’ school in the city of Lahore, Pakistan, Wednesday, demanding that teachers hand over the principal and a teacher, after rumors emerged that the teacher had insulted the prophet Muhammad.
Though it is unclear just what the teacher said, more than 200 people ransacked the school, set a nearby car on fire, and graffitied the phrase “school management are blasphemers” on the wall of the Farooqi Girls’s High School, which is considered one of the better schools in Lahore.
The police arrested the principal, Asim Farooqi, on blasphemy charges, which carries the death sentence in Pakistan. The accused teacher, Arfa Iftikhar, has reportedly gone into hiding.
Why can’t his handled by sharia courts? Why do they resort to mob violence?
Sharia IS mob rule so long as it advances Islam
And who decides what advances Islam?

The tenets of Islam as interpreted by the imam.
So keep an eye on the imam. But not all imams are equal.
That is right, not all imams are equal, some are worse then others.
Pakistan like Afghanistan and other failed islamic states is being destroyed by unedcated or brainwashed religious extremists and cowardly self serving elites who stir up discontent to settle personal scores or advance their own careers.
These brainwashed mobs don’t have the sense to realize that the pointless rage they display over religious insults traps them in their poverty. They could use that energy and passion to improve society and their own circumstances instead of being whipped into a mindless frenzy at any hint of religious insult.
The idiots deserve the poverty corruption and oppression of the society they have created and we should stop handing out aid money to prop them up. Let them struggle until they outgrow their backward mentality.
Intersectarian violence between Sunnis and Shi’as will destroy Pakistan. Make plans for the nukes.
The plans were made a long time ago, unfortunately paranoia has destroyed those plans, the Paki’s are deploying the nukes insuring that some of them will be launched. India will be the main target but others may be aimed at Iran.
Aimed at Iran? That is interesting. Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan, was a Shi’ite. Maybe Pakistan was not meant to have nukes. After all, did Mohammed have nukes? Is having nukes without having legal euthanasia not a form of hypocrisy? One thing we can be sure of, the torments of Hell are eternal.
There are a lot of Sunni in Pakistan, enough in their government that Saudi is negotiating with them to buy nukes if Iran explodes one. Both nations are supporting the Taliban (at least covertly) but are rivals do to their proximity to India and China. The rivalry goes back several Centuries and I don’t know the history of that region enough to talk about it.
