An elementary school teacher in Chesapeake, Va. has been charged with simple assault after a parent claimed her daughter’s hand was cut open as a result of the teacher yanking her arm aggressively while trying to teach students an “Islamic hand sign.”
Officer Leo Kosinski, a spokesman for the Chesapeake Police Department, told TheBlaze that Tara Harris was criminally charged with a misdemeanor on Oct. 11 and released on a summons. The case is currently under investigation.
“It’s still a criminal charge. It happened at the school and it involved a student,” Kosinski said. The police department could not release any additional information.

Stephanie Bennett, the mother of the 10-year-old girl who was allegedly assaulted at Butts Road Intermediate School, told TheBlaze in an emotional phone interview that Harris has a disturbing trend of “indoctrinating” students with Islamic teachings. She also said the teacher openly campaigns for President Barack Obama in the classroom.
The mother said her daughter told her that Harris “prays to Allah in Arabic” around five times a day in front of students and teaches them about Islam and how it is superior to other religions. Bennett claims other parents have confirmed her suspicions after talking with their kids.

A black, female teacher who preaches Islam and supports Obama. The words black, female and teacher are important, as she scores a serious fail with regards to all three. Obama has kept blacks in the ghettos, Islam oppresses females,and teachers are meant to educate not indoctrinate.

In response to SOFTLY BOB, you ought to be ashamed of yourself making claims regarding a religion and not doing the proper research. Have you studied Islam? Are you a Muslim? Because I find zero evidence of oppression as a matter of fact, the woman’s status is raised above the mans. Now if a country has a habit of oppressing women, like America, then that does not mean we should ignorantly generalize an entire religion and call say Christians/Catholics oppressors of women. Did you already forget American history? Oh how America hides it’s problems under the rug. Remember when they couldn’t vote? Today is no Better than before. Now women are slaves to sexual imagery and solicit or solicited as strippers and legal prostitutes. You call that freedom? What a sad individual you are! With regards to your assumptions and your ignorance I sure hope you’re not a school teacher. You make claims to that this woman should educate not indoctrinate YET YOU DO IT YOURSELF!! What hypocrisy!!We sure don’t need the disease of stupidity spreading any further then it already has to where the media will say something like “potatoes cause cancer ” and they blindly accept and decide “potatoes are banned in my home from now on because NBC said they lead to cancer”… Get my drift? Be independent, not a slave to the general media. And respect women by speaking out against everything that abuses the woman’s image. They want you to think a certain way because if you haven’t guessed already, everything leads to money and the profit of it. Break those shackles Bob, educate yourself. It’s free.

Or those poor girls forced to live for more Than a decade as slaves and imprisoned by Ariel Castro!? More than a DECADE!! Woe, if we only paid more attention to our own bull crap maybe we could’ve found them sooner!!How about the genius that flew his plane into the IRS building?
