Yeah! I allways wondered about that; why doesn’t the unfortunate natives in the west get a cushy living on the tax-dole? Why only people abusing the do-gooders? I know a lot of elderly people with tight budgets, where I live. They never get this treatment by the state. They get reduced meals at the home for the eldery.

Prior to WWII spiritualism was the thing among the upper class, mediums made fortunes holding seances. Today it is coming back in vogue with the Syfy channel having a minimum of 5 shows that investigate hauntings full or part time, and in most areas there are people who make a hobby of investigating hauntings.

It’s interesting the comments that have been made about demonic influence (by The Infidel) and spiritualism (by Richard). I think there is something in what both of you say.
Hitler and the Nazis were into the occult and a war erupted out of their twisted beliefs. Even amongst the allies, the trend of consulting mediums may have led to a blindness on the part of Britain and France to recognise the enemy, hence the long period of pre-war appeasement.
As for superstition, there are no persons afraid of ‘jinns’ as much as the Muslims are. They are already slaves to Satan, so they have been blinded spiritually. I guess their defence mechanisms are down, and all sorts of hauntings, possessions, spells and skulduggery are a regular threat to them. It just goes to show that their false god cannot protect them.
Christians, such as Anglicans, LDS, Baptists, Catholics and so on,make up the biggest part of successful family people in the West, especially in the United States, and they just seem to function normally. Rarely, if ever, are they victims of possessions, curses or the evil eye. They are usually unremarkable people who raise normal families, hold down good jobs, and just get on with life. Even believing Jews never seem to fall victim to demonic influence, paranoia or witchcraft: We all know that they are usually very successful in life. The only trouble the Jews get is from being persecuted by other people, but never by harassment from ghouls and goblins.
This probably shows more than anything who it really is that Christians and Jews are worshipping, compared to Muslims who are worshipping something very different altogether.
Islam is built on fear and Muslims are fearful of every curse, every superstition, and fearful of that ever persistent feeling of pending hell-fire.
Muslims are vulnerable to paranormal powers because Muslims don’t have the real God to give them protection!
