Favela map pulled out of rotation by Activision.

Activision’s developers have aggravated the Muslim community by hanging a painting above a toilet in Modern Warfare 2.

The painting has holy teachings written around its frame. “Allah is beautiful and He loves beauty,” the text is reported to have read.

Apparently the presence of holy teachings in a place of number-ones and twos does not sit well with Islam. So Activision has pulled the Favela map out of rotation and will return it when edits have been made.

  1. So even when you have kind words to say about Islam, the Muzz don’t like it. Oh, yeah, the painting is above a toilet and that’s the real offence lies.
The painting should be kept in the game with the option of shooting it off the wall so that it falls into the toilet. Now that would be amusing!

  2. Softly Bob- how can they roar cry over this- the bog is already turned toward Mekka, is is not?

  3. @marge72 :- The bog is indeed turned toward Mecca, but Muslims don’t like bogs turned towards Mecca because Mecca is already the biggest toilet on the planet. They don’t want any more shit there than there already is.
