Today, Canada is the best country in the world in which to live, bar none. Canadians as a whole are happier and live a better life than those in almost all other Nations. Economically, under Harper’s Conservative Government, Canada is surpassing most Western Nations. Canada is politically stable with a majority Government.
Canada is also Israel’s best friend.
Is there a connection between Canada’s current “good fortune” and its friendly relationship with Israel or is it simply a coincidence? I, for one, certainly believe there is a connection. What’s my proof? Please look in your Holy Bible, Genesis Chapter 12, verse 3. to find my proof.

In the USA the Republicans declared war on the Democrats. They made roadblocks for Obama at every turn of the way, for every piece of legislation. A country that has such a polarized political society of having a war between Republicans and Democrats will not in any way help the USA to recover its position in the world– a position that is top of the pile economically, democratically, and with respect from other nations.
Steven Harper is a true example of what a president should be. Pres. Obama has an incredible amount to learn from Stephen Harper. Stephen Harper stands up for what is right even if he stands alone. I desperately wish we could have another Stephen Harper so that he could be the president of United States. I love my country, but Pres. Obama simply does not get it. Stephen Harper does.
I am sad because such a great leader as PM Harper and his truly libertarian speeches and strongly democratic ideas are not published and broadcasted more in the rest of the free world, to let the world know what a true leader should be. Not an oportunistic and unclear unstable leader as others in the area. He does not hide facts but faces them honestly and face to face. Keep Canada as a true light to the free world, since others are not doing it.

AS a Canadian, I am very proud or our Prime Minister, Stephen Harper and our Finance Minister James M. Flaherty. Canada is the best country in the world to live in no matter your financial situation.
I’m always left wondering why Israel has been given a free pass to invade and illegally occupy Palestinian lands and utterly humiliate Palestinians on a daily basis? Perhaps if they hadn’t invaded there wouldn’t be so much instability in the region. I cannot support any aggressor.
Wow-as a New Hampshire resident-I suddenly feel a need to drive two hours north and stay a while. Congrats to the Canucks. (not just the ones in Vancouver, either.)

Harper is cool! I took a surfing lesson with his kids when they were on Oahu last year at the big pan-Pacific business meeting-thing – we were in the same hotel. He and my wife stood on the shore and cheered for us on when we stayed-up on the board, surfing is hard!
I have always said that we are so-o-o LUCKY to have President Harper as our PM of Canada. He has a brilliant grasp of Economics & of fairness. The rest of the world are in awe of him & his Foreign Policy. Long may he be our PM…I shudder to think of what may happen if not 🙂

I am proud to have been born in Canada and still remain a Canadian citizen though I have lived in the US for over 30 yrs. The US does not recognize that fact however in it’s typically arrogant fashion.
That being said I love the US and am lucky to be able to vote for whom ever I choose.
I know a lot of my Canadian friends do not like Harper but I think he has been a very good PM. As in any democratic country the leader will never please everyone.
I do take offense with those who have left comments that they will move to Canada if Obama is elected again or that he is a muslim and wants the US to be like Venezuela! Where DO you get your information! Fox news I presume.

As an American I can say that was one fine speech. It clearly gives you an idea of where your PM stands and what Canada stands for. Also as an American I had to watch my country teeter on the edge of collapse that would have taken a good chunk of the world with it because of the policies of a President and a Congress that stood behind him for 6 years. The hole that Pres. Bush dug for us was deep and it is utterly amazing to me that people here in my country as well as elsewhere expected the new President Obama to fill it in such a short time. Pres. Obama was hampered all along the way by a Republican Party who’s leaders publicly swore to make him a one term President. They have thrown up every possible roadblock to prevent him from making any progress at the expense of the American people then blame him for not getting allot done.
Your PM was correct in saying that to be in support of Israel or anyone else does not require agreeing with all its’ leaders have to say. All countries, including your will support those they may not like if the overall strategic situation points to a greater good. Also, no leader can lead when a segment of the elected government will not discuss ANYTHING with him or even bargain. Just NO. That cost us and everyone.
If in your government a big minority flatly refused to deal in any way with your PM he would also have a very difficult time getting things done. In our system (very different than yours) the minority can abuse the rules and hamper any President and that is what is going on.
When I read some of the comments here it is stunning how little is known about how our system works but that isn’t your fault. Plenty of Americans don’t know what is going on. A big reason is the press is not doing their job as political adversary and of not informing us.

The 1967 war was a response to Arab terrorist attacks and threats of war, the massing of Egyptian and Syrian troops near the Israeli border, and Egypt’s illegal closure of the Straits of Tiran to Israel ships. After the war, Israel offered to trade land for peace and has withdrawn from more than 90% of the territories it won in the war, including all of the Sinai, nearly all of the Gaza Strip, more than 40% of the West Bank, and part of the Golan Heights. Jewish settlements were expressly recognized as legitimate in the League of Nations Mandate for Palestine, which provided for the establishment of a Jewish state in the Jewish people’s ancient homeland. Some settlements, such as in Hebron, existed throughout the centuries of Ottoman rule, while others were established prior to the establishment of the State of Israel. Many present-day Israeli settlements were established on sites that were home to Jewish communities in previous generations, long before 1948. Israeli settlements were established under the supervision of Israel’s Supreme Court to ensure that no communities were stablished on private Arab land and that no Arab inhabitants were displaced.

I have very carefully listened to the speech of PM Harper.
It is a great speech and I would like to applaud him on that and we all should be proud to have him as our PM.
Mr. Harper talks the talk, however, as far protecting Canadian’s rights to our own natural resources and to local sustainable agriculture; two things which nourish our very lives and our souls, he certainly does not walk the walk. Tainted meat at Excel Foods (after closing local abattoirs) is a result of services being too removed from the communities that they serve. This company was then quickly sold to Brazilian interests before it had even been cleared to resume business! Our government creates omnibus bills that hide a multitude of evils. There are deals being negociated with China regarding the sale of a large chunk of the oil sands in Alberta in spite of an environmental record even worse than our own. Other deals are underway with the EU (CETA) which would mean even less protection for our farmers and the environment. It is very simple. If we want to eat healthy food in the future, we must start valuing and supporting our local, sustainable producers.
We need our lakes, rivers and parks protected to an even greater extent than they are now, however, our government is instead gutting existing environmental protection laws! When does “progress” become devolutionary? We are losing species at an unprecedented rate. The health of our land and our bodies is co-dependent. Many have known for years that the real cause of a majority of the diseases we suffer is as a result of our polluted environment, and our depleted foods. We can all play in the sandbox together nicely, but the buck stops here! Charity begins at home! Not just Canada, but every country, needs a government that will do what is truly beneficial for the health of it’s land and it’s people. But that takes guts.
Canada should remain truly European and faithful towards European pro-freedom ideals, and avoid being influenced by middle east or asian orislamic abusive system . China or any Middle east or other asian country have no businees to intrude into Canadian European heitage or mess up Canadian European heritage.

Two faced Harper, does not practise what he preaches. A total disregard for our Parliamentary procedures and thinks Canadian are a bunch of idiots, ask the PBO. Enjoy your one term with a majority; it will be your last. The good news is only 39% of Canadians are actually idiots, coincidence, that’s the same amount that voted for Harper in the last election.
I thought this was an excellent speech, but I cannot endorse Mr. Harper as a Prime Minister. He is an arrogant dictator, even towards his own colleagues. He has removed public funding to many groups which support women’s rights, the ecology and science. He has not banned the seal slaughter which sullies Canada’s international image. He has undermined the census. He does not listen to the Canadian people and I hope he is voted out of office as soon as possible. Meanwhile I ardently hope Mr. Obama is re-elected, as we have seen what the American right can do during the Bush era. I am glad and grateful to live in Canada, but I owe my thanks to the aboriginal people.
The real enemies of the Arab world are corruption, lack of education and freedom,
and Arab dictators who suppress their own people.

Canada is a great Country. As a U.S. citizen, I love visiting Canada, especially in the Quebec region. I love my Canadian friends, even though I don’t always agree with them. I think your Prime Minister is one of the best in a long time. I still prefer my U.S. and to the chagrin of my good liberal friends, I think Obama is a Muslim scumbag.

One has to ask oneself why in specifically Islamic nations there is such a lack of freedom and education where there is not in say, India, China and so on. While china certainly does not have political freedom, there is a high level of education and technical progress. The thing that makes Islamic countries as they are, is not a deficiency in the people, although centuries of consanguinity may actually make me wrong on that, but it is Islam, a system of belief which is limiting and vicious. One of course, in order to make the second easier,
Indian, Chinese, predominantly Islamic people and other Asian people tend to be extremely greedy and vicious towards any people that they don’t like.
While Chinese racist chauvanist or supremacist tend to boast about their Chinese race socalled achievement, which is actually aided by the West or copied from the West, Moslems tend to boast about their socalled Islamic advancement which in reality are also mostly copied or borrowed from Western advancement.
From my experience, Chinese , Indian and Islamic people are are one of the most exploitive people in the world and tend to look down on people who have no money, tend to discriminate other people who don’t speak their native language or don’t belong to their one of their many faiths or race in Asia.
Education is important and so is helpful behaviour that moslems, chinese and indians tend to lack.
Furthmore, those oppressive Asian and islamic countries may have wealth but no freedom. Therefore wealth without freedom will always caused rapid deterioration of quality of life.

I am Canadian residing in Georgia (a former Republic of the USSR).
I have very carefully listened to the speech of PM Harper.
It is a great speech and I would like to applaud him on that and we all should be proud to have him as our PM.
Mr. Harper talks the talk, however, as far protecting Canadian’s rights to our own natural resources and to local sustainable agriculture; two things which nourish our very lives and our souls, he certainly does not walk the walk. Tainted meat at Excel Foods (after closing local abattoirs) is a result of services being too removed from the communities that they serve. This company was then quickly sold to Brazilian interests before it had even been cleared to resume business! Our government creates omnibus bills that hide a multitude of evils. There are deals being negociated with China regarding the sale of a large chunk of the oil sands in Alberta in spite of an environmental record even worse than our own. Other deals are underway with the EU (CETA) which would mean even less protection for our farmers and the environment. It is very simple. If we want to eat healthy food in the future, we must start valuing and supporting our local, sustainable producers.
We need our lakes, rivers and parks protected to an even greater extent than they are now, however, our government is instead gutting existing environmental protection laws! When does “progress” become devolutionary? We are losing species at an unprecedented rate. The health of our land and our bodies is co-dependent. Many have known for years that the real cause of a majority of the diseases we suffer is as a result of our polluted environment, and our depleted foods. We can all play in the sandbox together nicely, but the buck stops here! Charity begins at home! Not just Canada, but every country, needs a government that will do what is truly beneficial for the health of it’s land and it’s people. But that takes guts.
Canada should remain truly European and faithful towards European pro-freedom ideals, and avoid being influenced by middle east or asian orislamic abusive system . China or any Middle east or other asian country have no businees to intrude into Canadian European heitage or mess up Canadian European heritage.
What a great PM. God bless you. Stay honest and hard working. It confuses the ‘left’ to no end.
Two faced Harper, does not practise what he preaches. A total disregard for our Parliamentary procedures and thinks Canadian are a bunch of idiots, ask the PBO. Enjoy your one term with a majority; it will be your last. The good news is only 39% of Canadians are actually idiots, coincidence, that’s the same amount that voted for Harper in the last election.
I thought this was an excellent speech, but I cannot endorse Mr. Harper as a Prime Minister. He is an arrogant dictator, even towards his own colleagues. He has removed public funding to many groups which support women’s rights, the ecology and science. He has not banned the seal slaughter which sullies Canada’s international image. He has undermined the census. He does not listen to the Canadian people and I hope he is voted out of office as soon as possible. Meanwhile I ardently hope Mr. Obama is re-elected, as we have seen what the American right can do during the Bush era. I am glad and grateful to live in Canada, but I owe my thanks to the aboriginal people.
The real enemies of the Arab world are corruption, lack of education and freedom,
and Arab dictators who suppress their own people.

Canada is a great Country. As a U.S. citizen, I love visiting Canada, especially in the Quebec region. I love my Canadian friends, even though I don’t always agree with them. I think your Prime Minister is one of the best in a long time. I still prefer my U.S. and to the chagrin of my good liberal friends, I think Obama is a Muslim scumbag.

One has to ask oneself why in specifically Islamic nations there is such a lack of freedom and education where there is not in say, India, China and so on. While china certainly does not have political freedom, there is a high level of education and technical progress. The thing that makes Islamic countries as they are, is not a deficiency in the people, although centuries of consanguinity may actually make me wrong on that, but it is Islam, a system of belief which is limiting and vicious. One of course, in order to make the second easier,
Indian, Chinese, predominantly Islamic people and other Asian people tend to be extremely greedy and vicious towards any people that they don’t like.
While Chinese racist chauvanist or supremacist tend to boast about their Chinese race socalled achievement, which is actually aided by the West or copied from the West, Moslems tend to boast about their socalled Islamic advancement which in reality are also mostly copied or borrowed from Western advancement.
From my experience, Chinese , Indian and Islamic people are are one of the most exploitive people in the world and tend to look down on people who have no money, tend to discriminate other people who don’t speak their native language or don’t belong to their one of their many faiths or race in Asia.
Education is important and so is helpful behaviour that moslems, chinese and indians tend to lack.
Furthmore, those oppressive Asian and islamic countries may have wealth but no freedom. Therefore wealth without freedom will always caused rapid deterioration of quality of life.
