Guaranteed not to work but its interesting that the Ozzies are even making these. Blowing a few ships out of the water would probably have a mild deterrent effect but I am pretty sure that the people who would get on these boats neither watch Australian TV or even speak English. Maybe if they set up a few thousand floating flat screens in the South Pacific a few boats could be persuaded to turn back and book a flight.
