VIENNA: Iran has “sanitized” to such an extent a military base where nuclear weapons research allegedly took place that the UN atomic watchdog may say next week there is now little point inspecting it, Western diplomats told AFP.
The International Atomic Energy Agency has been pushing Iran to allow access to Parchin, most recently at a failed meeting in Vienna on Friday, where it suspects explosives testing consistent with nuclear bomb research occurred.
Iran, subject to unprecedented Western sanctions and amid heightened speculation of Israeli military action, denies seeking or ever having sought nuclear weapons but has so far blocked the IAEA’s requests to see the site.
Western nations have accused Iran of bulldozing parts of the sprawling base near Tehran and the IAEA said in May that activities spotted there by satellite “could hamper the agency’s ability to undertake effective verification.”
Okay they sanitized the base.
Who is on 1st? Ya that didn’t make any sense. Neither does politics it seems. Whether you admit something, it depends it seems if your team is in power.
So UN weapons inspectors said there were no more Iraqi WMDs. Yet I remember all the news reports of UN inspectors being delayed form inspecting one site after another.
If there are WMDs used for Syria in the future, the left will be loathe to admit that not all of them were Syrian in manufacture.
It is interesting that you got the story form the Indian pres & not Western press. Well hey in America we are all abuzz about the latest workplace shooting of 1 person & whether the Hurricane passing hundreds of miles form the Republican convention is an indication of the wrath of god.
Welcome to the frustration I have been feeling for decades, the left has been lying about all enemies of the left for as long as I have been alive and we are now in the beginning of a decades long war of survival. I say decades long because it will take a long time for the west to remove all of the 5th columnists in our midst and be able to concentrate on winning the war.
We have to go back to the time proven tactic of winning the war by kicking the crap out of them before we try and change their societies.
