What is the original Islam?

Muslim apologists claim that original Islam meant ‘peace’, but what is the evidence? Mohammed claimed the opposite.

According to Mohammed, original Islam is jihad.

Narrated Abdullah ibn Umar:
I heard the Apostle of Allah say: When you enter into the inah transaction (become businessmen), hold the tails of oxen (become cattlemen), are pleased with agriculture (become farmers), and give up conducting jihad, Allah will make disgrace prevail over you, and will not withdraw it until you return to your original religion. – Sunan Abu Dawud Book 23, Number 3455

Conducting jihad is the ‘original religion’ of Mohammed. Mohammed is the authority on Islam.

Mohammed’s Litmus Test

Just as adherence to the U.S. constitution is the litmus test of American identity, so adherence to jihad is Mohammed’s test of loyalty to Islam.

Mohammed’s litmus test is the willingness of Muslims to conduct jihad. That is how Mohammed determined who is a genuine Muslim and who is a lukewarm ‘hypocrite’.

Lukewarm Muslims do not go on jihad. Lukewarm Muslims go into trades or farming. By this test, most Muslims today are condemned. Non-jihadist Muslims have abandoned original Islam.

Lest this be considered too hasty, let’s examine further evidence.

  1. Jihad means struggle. I have been engaged in Jihad for the last 35 years in the field of education. I set up the first Muslim schgool in 1981 and now there are 170 Muslim schools and only 12 are state funded. I would like to see each and every Muslim child in a state funded Muslim school. I believe that one day my dream would come true.

    State schools with monolingual non-Muslim teachers are not in a position to develop cultural. linguistic and spiritual Identities of the Muslim children. let British teachers educate their own children and let Muslim teachers educate Muslim children.

    Bilingual Muslim children need to learn and be well versed in standard Enlgish to follow the National Curriculum and go for higher studies and research to serve humanity. At the same time thy need to learn Arabic, Urdu and other community languages to keep in touch with their cultural roots and enjoy the beauty of their literature and poetry.

    The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) has released a report about differing levels of discrimination against religious minorities

    Regarding Muslims, the report maintained they seem to experience discrimination with far greater frequency than most other religious groups. This included policies by various organisations as well as negative media coverage and physical and verbal intimidation and threats. The report concluded that the majority of Muslims surveyed felt that the problems had gotten worse since the 9/11 attacks.
    Overall, the report acknowledged that little research had been done into levels of discrimination against non-Abrahamic religious groups, including Hindus, Sikhs and Pagans. However, it claimed that there was good reason to believe prejudice against them was pervasive in some areas. Now Hindu, Sikh and Black communities are trying to set up state funded Schools for their children with their own teachers.

    Racism is still at large in British schools, according to a study published on July 3 by ‘Show Racism the Red Card’, a football-led anti-racism campaigners.

    Over 80% of the 148 teachers questioned said that they had witnessed racist name-calling, remarks, jokes and stereotyping of different races from their pupils.

    The study, which was supported by National Union of Teachers also includes interviews, pupil observations and a research journal. Its aim was to investigate the problems of racism and inequality in the education system.

    Almost a third of those surveyed said that they had seen similar prejudicial behaviour coming from teachers; it was claimed that some teachers used racist terms, or had lower expectations of pupils who originated from ethnic minority backgrounds.

    Many of the teachers who had been questioned stated that they had come across “teachers with racist attitudes, for example those who were dismissive of the Asian pupils due to perceived language issues.”

    Moreover, 39% of those questioned said they had not received any form of training in tackling racism.

    This report calls for teachers to be given training in how to tackle racism not only among pupils, but also among the teachers themselves. Moreover, it highly suggests that all schools should give pupils the opportunity to express their opinions, and that all pupils should be taught about ethnicity and diversity.

    Jihad means to make war on unbelievers in every possible way to advance the authority and dominion of Islam. That is all it is. The evidence for that presented in this article alone should be enough. But there will be a whole boat load of it coming soon, as if watching the news wasn’t enough.

  3. 97% of the references to jihad in the hadiths are ‘warfare against the kafirs’. Only 3% of the references are about inner purification. Moreover, orthodox legalists say the 3% group are unauthentic hadiths.

    Islamologist Hans Jansen found that early Muslims only understood jihad to mean real warfare.

  4. Here are the facts sans taqiyya:

    “..97 percent of the passages refer to jihad as bloodshed and warfare against non-Muslims. Three percent of the references are about jihad as an inner struggle”.

    If Jihad meant primarily “inner struggle” then why does the koran make allowances for the lame & blind”
    “Sura 48:15-17 ……………..No blame is there on the blind, nor is there blame on the lame, nor on one ill (if he joins not the war). ”

    By any clear reading of the Quran, the hadith (reports of Muhammad’s words and actions outside of the Quran), the histories, the biographies and the law books on early Islam, jihad cannot exclude military warfare in the cause of Allah in order to expand Islam.

    Noble Qur’an:2:190 Footnote: “Jihad is holy fighting in Allah’s Cause with full force of numbers and weaponry. It is given the utmost importance in Islam and is one of its pillars. By Jihad Islam is established, Allah’s Word is made superior (which means only Allah has the right to be worshiped), and Islam is propagated. By abandoning Jihad Islam is destroyed and Muslims fall into an inferior position; their honor is lost, their lands are stolen, their rule and authority vanish. Jihad is an obligatory duty in Islam on every Muslim. He who tries to escape from this duty, or does not fulfill this duty, dies as a hypocrite.”

    And let’s not forget this muslim motto “Preach peace when weak, wage war when strong”

  5. As far as I can learn the Moslems never claimed jihad as anything besides war until they started a new jihad against the west.
