The boorish drunk American is 100% correct. The smooth, sophisticated European is 100% wrong. How many Canadians and Americans are going to have to die bailing the stupid cowards out this time?
Good video, but it’s the other way around. It’s a Frenchman talking to an American in the US, the french quarter of New Orleans by the looks of it.
It’s the standard idiotic piece of European filmmaking (seen so so many times) a continental “sophisticate” in this case this French guy Antoine de Maximy goes to make fun of the opinions and practises of the boorish backward Yanks. But our American friend is spot on, while M. de Maximy is forced to resort to just shaking his head saying, “No no no.” In a desparate bid to convince only himself…
Perhaps Antoine your camera would be put to better use back in Paris’ 18ème on a Friday afternoon?

And on the contrary, to my eye the American successfully explodes the boorish stereotype the Frenchman seeks to alot to him. Notice how he politely wishes M. de Maximy a “Bonsoir” at 1:39? Tellingly, the comments in French on the YouTube video are mostly supportive of the American. Perhaps soon the States will have to send Lady Liberty back just to remind the French of the ideals their country is supposed to embody.

Islam is unlike any other political ideology. Its leaders have waited for centuries for an opportunity to invade by stealth and during the last 40 years, they found it.
By claiming “refugee” status all over the free world, Muslims are taking over entire neighborhoods, towns and even cities. Think of Malmo, or entire sections of Brussels.
Its not about religion, its about territory and creating a universal caliphate.
Islam’s leaders, especially the OIC, knows this and are now not-so-quietly making it known that they want territory.
And western countries hand it over to them with each new stamped visa for Muslim immigrants.

You mis-understand me, my friend. When I said “boorish American”, I didn’t mean to say that I was against the American and that I thought he was boorish, I was actually siding with the American and the obvious attempt to portray him as boorish. Perhaps I should have placed the word ‘boorish’ in quotation marks to avoid such confusion. Perhaps I should have said that the American, who is being wrongly set up to appear stupid and boorish, is 100% right and the Frenchman, who is being wrongly portrayed as sophisticated and reasonable even though he isn’t, is 100% wrong. I’m siding with the American. OK?
Chris the answer is a lot, I got a big laugh from some friends last year when I told them that this century we would have to liberate France twice, once from the Moslems and once from the French. I was mainly joking about the French but we must remember that communism and its bastard child Fascism had their philosophical beginnings in the stated goals of the French Revolution. The fact that like all attempts to create a socialist utopia the French Revolution ended in a tyranny and the creation of the first secret police force in Western Europe. (The first secret police in Eastern Europe was Ivan the Terrible s “State within a State” I don’t remember the Russian word for this but the people in this secret police were families and it was the family businesses. Putin is reported to be a descendant of one of the original members.) If France becomes another dictatorship (I pray not) then we will have to liberate it from the French. Remember North America needs a free and independent Western Europe as much as they need us to be free and independent.
Eeyore I read the Stratfor article on capital flight and meant to get back to you on that but it kept slipping my mind and I forgot which thread you comment was on. The flight of capital from bonds and to a lesser extent stocks to precious metals and to a lesser extent jewels is a result of the debt and the fear that the governments will go bankrupt. Some of them probably will go bankrupt in the coming year and then the people who have physical possession of the precious metals will be semi-safe. If you want I will write on this some more, but until then here are two URLs for articles in the Daily Telegraph about how China is hurting and about to fold, and how the precious metals are hitting record prices.
