I do believe waering burka or any similar outfit should be not permitted in Canada. It is a primitive antisocial as well as devisive custom that has in my view no place in a free demokratic society. I do think this goes beyond the limits of individual freedom. It is more than grotesque and it scares little kids! And that’s no joke.
Don’t get me wrong, I do not think burka’s should be allowed on public transportation, public buildings or anywhere security is an issue and you could not wear any other disguise. I just think that individuals should be allowed to refuse service at restaurants and so on without fear of being charged with racism. If you give people back the power of choice, the problem of Burkas goes away in a day.
thanks eeyore
I agree with allowing the Burka if, and only if the businesses are allowed to refuse to serve or sell to the person wearing the burka.
The Burka is nothing but a trick that Muslims use to get under our skin and screw up our society. The reason they want to get under our skin and ruin our society is to eventually demoralize us to the point that we submit to Islam. Islam want to spoil our fun and ruin our lives, it has nothing whatsoever to do with God. We should be absolutely intolerant and 100% prejudiced against the wearing of the Burka. We need to look them straight in the eye and say, “We are not going to let you beat us, so back off or we’ll back you off! Understand?” We musn’t beat around the bush with these people. We need to tell them that we’re ready to fight and if there is a fight, we’re going to fight like wolverines. They need to get that, to really feel that, to believe that with all their hearts. And so do we!
Well said Chris Jones. Although I see the point Eyore and others are making I think allowing this bizarre outfit is another step too far. In a real world it would create another level of tension in our society which is precisely what some of them want and we don’t need. Show your face or stay home and that should be the rule for eveyone. Maybe my view on this is a bit extreme but I would not allow wearing burka in public at all regardless where it is.
If they keep pushing they will discover just what a step or two too far really are. The Dems are discovering that the American voters will put up with a lot but that they went too far.
