A Manchester student has been raped, beaten and left naked by the roadside in an attack police believe could have been carried out by a serial offender.
They have now appealed to students in the Fallowfield area not to walk home alone and say the woman may have been stabbed with a knitting needle.
Police described the man who pushed his victim into a car on Amhurst Road as Asian and overweight.
The woman was subjected to an “horrific” sexual attack, police said.
The woman was also left with injuries to her back and eye after being hit with a weapon similar to a skewer or knitting needle, detectives said.

The offender drove a black five-door car. He let the woman get out of the car after the attack in the early hours of Friday but drove off with her clothes and handbag containing her camera, phone and cards.
‘Traumatic ordeal’
The offender was described as Asian, of fat or large build, around 5ft 10ins (1.78m) tall and aged in his late 20s to early 30s and had a shaved head.
Officers believe this incident may be linked to another on Wednesday where a woman saw a similar looking man beside a black saloon car on Alan Road.
He tried to grab her hand but she ran off and called police.
Det Ch Insp Steve Eckersley said: “The victim has been through a horrific and traumatic ordeal and she is currently being supported by specially trained officers.
“Many students may be going out in Manchester after the summer break and I would urge them to take care when planning their route home.
“Please don’t walk home on your own, arrange for a taxi to drop you off outside your house and if you are walking and become concerned about someone, go to the nearest house for safety. ”
Patrols have been increased in the area and witnesses are asked to contact police.

Busy Month for UK Muslim Rapists, Paedophiles & Pimps
First — on September 2nd, Mohammed Moosa, 24 was sentenced to jail for three years after abducting a 13-year-old girl and taking her to a hotel for drink, drugs and sex. His accomplice in the crimes Faisal Ghani , denied being apart of the abduction was handed a 30 week sentence suspended for 18 months with 150 hours unpaid work.
Second — September 3rd, Juned Choudhury, 55; his brother Moin Ahmed, 56, and brother-in-law Syed Aslam, 40 were in court to face charges they had formed a paedophile ring to repeatedly rape a succession of little girls for more than 20 years – some of the girls were as young as four years old. Third — September 3rd, Man grabs and sexually assaults 36 year old woman in Bournemouth. The description of the assailant, as well as the e-fit image, describe him as ““… as Arabic looking of a medium build with a bald or shaven head and an unshaven face.” SOURCE
Fourth — September 4th, a 64 year-old woman was sexually assaulted by a boy as she walked along an Oldham road. The offender is described as Asian, aged 12 to 14 years, of slim build. SOURCE
Fifth — on September 12th, a 19 yr. old woman was abducted then raped (gang rape?) at a Shropshire kebab house – Flame. SOURCE A 32-year-old man “Mr Hussein’ has been charged with sexual assault and been remanded into custody by magistrates in Telford. Five more men were arrested and later released on bail. SOURCE
Sixth— on September 13, trial of eight men charged with serious sexual offences against four girls aged 13 to 17 in the Rotherham area is due to start. The eight perverts are charged with 15 offences of rape, one of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, and one of sexual touching. Named defendents are:

Seventh — September 14th, a sex trafficking gang offered to sell the virginity of girls as young as 13 to wealthy Arab businessmen for up to £150,000 each. The gang members, all jobless and Iranian, pleaded guilty to trafficking and prostitution offences at Harrow Crown Court yesterday. Mahrookh Jamali, 41 specialized in providing ‘virgins’. Eighth — on September 15, a man sexually assaulted two girls in North Reddish. On September 23rd “Ahmed Rukshar, aged 21 of Manley Road, Oldham was charged with the sexual assault of a 14 year old girl and a 17 year old girl”. SOURCE
Ninth— on September 21st, a 15 year old girl was walking along Victoria Street in Chadderton. The girl was grabbed by the throat by her attacker, dragged into an alleyway, and forcibly raped. Description of the still-at-large rapist: “a bearded Asian man in his early 40s, of a slim but muscular build”. SOURCE

Apparently police feel ‘having a word’ with sexual offenders will now suffice- especially in light of the police now categorizing such offenses as “low level crimes”.

Mohammed Ahmed, of Clifton Villas, Manningham, Bradford, was convicted by a jury last month of twice raping the teenager after her first night out in the city centre since suffering from post-natal depression. The woman told the jury that Ahmed had said “I’ll show you a good time” before raping her in the Allerton area. A tape of her sobbing on her phone after dialling 999 at 2am was played in court. Yesterday, Judge John Potter told Ahmed, who had been driving cabs for five years, that it was clear he had targeted the teenager to satisfy his “dreadful and abusive need for sexual gratification”. Would appear that FORMER BBC announcer – Sam Mason had it right all along – especially in light of the recent police (unsurprising) announcement that they have “given up the fight and lost control of the streets” of England.
