Iranian forces moved about five kilometers (three miles) into the Kurdistan region in Iraq and established military camps on June 1, PNA reported. Bases were established in the Weze and Kani Rash villages in the town of Choman. An unnamed Iranian source said the troops will remain in the area for an unknown amount of time and had fired on civilians to force them to leave. Approximately 220 families in the Iran-Iraq border villages have fled.

  1. Are you sure such words as “Iran begins to exert its military” might are right.Military might from a nation with a GDP per capita of 11,500 Dollars per year. Romania is higher up than that.When it come to GDP PPP Iran is not even in the top 15 of the world. Every region of the world has some showing in the top 10 but not Africa or the Middleeast. Africa can not make the top 20. So the least powerful region in the world is Africa followed by the Middle East. If one were to put the econmies of Iran, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt together it would only come to 2 trillion 700 billion, in other words less than Germany.
    There is no military might in the whole of the Middle East. They fold like paper tigers once the US military arrives. Witness Iraq, Witness The Taliban. They fold pretty quickly when Isral arrives as well. Witness the recent jihad flottila. Propanada victory is the only victory they can have. Not real victory.
