What is ‘Halal meat’ and what does that mean?

Animal rights people may want to make themselves aware of this. Warning, this is very, very harsh.

wilderssupport — April 13, 2010 — This video starts by showing the Western humane “Bolt Gun” method of instant slaughter. The remainder of the video then shows the Islamic Halal method of slaughter. Halal is the Sharia Law prescribed method of ritual killing involving the cutting of animals throats and letting them bleed to death. Halal killed animal products are being pushed into the mainstream consumer production of animal stuffs and taken up by the likes of Mc Donnalds and other well known fast food outlets. Are you eating according to Islam’s Sharia without your knowledge? Contains graphic and upsetting content. Please don’t let children watch.

  1. being a meat eater and love a good steak.

The first one where the cow is shot with gun in the head you can see the cow instantly went unconscious and wasn’t in pain. Not nice but morally acceptable if the animal is fully used which they are.

All the others make me want join one of the Animal rights organizations.

  2. This is how sharia law will be implemented, through little cuts like creating halal delis and halal sections of the supermarkets.

They will also require Muslim health care workers to ignore safety by allowing them to avoid scrubbing up for exams and surgeries, as the UK has done.

With each step, the west is creeping closer to sharia law and it must be stopped.

Where is the Spirit of 1942 when we need it?

  3. As a arab conquered person I often remember eating this stuff. NO more!

  4. cacn i just say tht not ALL Muslims kill animals like tht, not all of them kill them and hang them up WHILE they are dying, thats cruelty and to be killed the proper way they make it Halal is not cruel.

  5. Those methods cannot be considered halal because the animals were:
    1) Litterally tortured.
    2) They saw the blade before their death.
    3) They saw the blood before their death.
    4) The animals were not fed any water or calmed prior to the slaughter.
    5) They saw other animals slaughtered
    6) They see the bodies of the dead animals

And further reasons that I am aware of, but not 100% sure if my information is correct. So I will not mention them.

Just cause something states it is a halal method doesn’t mean it actually is. For a muslim to eat the meat of any of these animals would be forbidden.

Also, just because the video SAYS it is a “halal” method, doesn’t actually mean it is. How naive would you actually be to believe everything on the internet?

I can say I’m a christian/muslim or any other religion, but then go and start a fire in the religion’s respective holy place (ie church, mosque, or temple etc). Does that still make me a christian/muslim/bhuddist/etc?
    Uhhh. NO it does not.

ALSO. Just to point out the other side as well. The first animal was just made unconscious. But then they go and cut it up while it is still alive (just unconscious) That doesn’t seem all too humane either.

Does not feeling pain really make it all that gruesome?

Personally, I’d rather be dead and then cut up rather than ripped apart piece by piece while the physical mechanisms of my body are still functioning, aka being alive.

  6. Slight correction to my post:
    I meant to say

“Does not feeling pain really make it less gruesome?”

  7. @Toastybread: Yes, painlessness makes it less gruesome. And I remember being told by halal proponents that a prayer is supposed to “numb” the animal or whatever.

A dead man’s beard and fingernails continue to grow for days after death. Is that the level of “physical mechanisms of the body functioning” that you would like to wait out?

I’m pretty sure the bolt gun slaughtered cow also gets the blood drained out before it is cut up. Do you honestly think that is WORSE than letting it bleed out while conscious?

And you can claim to be of whatever religion, but that doesn’t make it so. However, if you actually ARE of some religion and then proceed to burn down your own place of worship, that doesn’t mean you stop belonging to that religion. Not unless you get excommunicated or so.

  8. Minor correction:

hair, fingernails and beard do not continue to grow after death. The skin recedes exposing more of them. Nothing grows after death.

  9. I don’t know if this is truly Halal or not, but this cruelty is going on in this plant and needs to be stopped! No living being deserves to be treated thusly and I wonder about those who work there?? I don’t know what it would take for me to do this to any animal; perhaps starvation?? In any event, I could not finish watching this heartless, abject torture of these poor creatures. So very, very sad the state of our world that would ever allow or do this…
