Venezuelan Vice President and Defense Minister Ramon Carrizales said Jan. 5 that evidence exists of an incursion into Venezuela by a U.S. military aircraft from Curacao on May 17, 2009, El Universal reported. Carrizales claimed the government has recordings of inquiries made to the aircraft’s crew by air traffic controllers and flight charts that show it violated Venezuelan airspace and flew into a restricted area near La Orchila air base
