Breaking events in Canada that indicate authoritarian trial balloons and which will be seen everyone in the Developed World soon no doubt

This video is not deep analysis. In fact it has errors. The WHO is part of the UN, its not joining the UN as a threat. The UN is a threat to national sovereignty, and the WHO is one of its main instruments to carry out policy detrimental to free people. Still, I think his emotional response is warranted, even if it isn’t quite as he puts it. Something is fishy about these exercises.

There is a video I am waiting on which is pretty severe in terms of certainly what appears to be the advancement of government totalitarian control of all of us here in Canada. I expect to post it tonight. For the moment, please check out these items and consider what you all feel about them and post in the comments.

benign? Or a total undoing of a fundamental of Western democracies in terms of the role of the military and police?

Military training exercise coming to Bruce County May 3-5.

An estimated 800 army reservists are expected to take part in an exercise throughout Huron and Bruce counties over the first weekend of May.

The troops will be taking part in Exercise Trillium Venture from May 3 to 5, which will include operations in a number of Bruce County communities.

Maj. Paul Pickering of the Canadian Armed Forces’ 31 Territorial Battalion based in London was at Bruce County council on April 4, where he outlined the training exercise, which will simulate a domestic scenario requiring military response.Exercise Trillium Venture is actually part of a larger Trillium Series exercise that started in 2023. Exercise Trillium Response was held In Toronto in January, where the leadership of the exercise worked through the scenario, developed their procedure and came up with a plan, Pickering explained.

The exercise to be held in May in Huron and Bruce counties will see soldiers execute the plan, Pickering said.

“On 3-5 May we are going to confirm the capabilities of our territorial Battalion group,” Pickering said. “That is a composite group made up of our 12 units in 31 Canadian Brigade Group that come together for domestic operation.”

Pickering said the group has deployed in the past to deal with floods and forest fires.

“This is something that will happen again and we practice for it, which is why we do these exercises,” he said.

The scenario planned for May will simulate a 13-day heatwave with temperatures peaking above 40 degrees Celsius. It will include a severe storm causing power outages and damage to infrastructure and homes. There will be the possibility of water shortages in some communities and an option to add wildland fires to further escalate the exercise.

A number of tasks are planned for the participating reservists, including wellness checks, tree clearing, fire training, moving seniors from one location to another, an ATV search of the coastline, and a search and rescue exercise. Among the Bruce County communities where participants will be located are Mildmay, Walkerton, Wiarton, Sauble Beach and Lion’s Head. The exercise headquarters will be based in Blyth, with other Huron County communities involved including Clinton, Hensall, Wingham and Goderich.

A Canadian Military Veteran sent me this and she is alarmed about it, to put it mildly.

There is a post on Facebook, about it which leads to this official site

The Canadian Armed Forces will be conducting an emergency exercise in Huron and Bruce Counties between Friday, May 3 and Sunday, May 5, 2024.   Goderich residents will notice a military presence throughout Town as soldiers will be stationed in the community over the weekend.

There is no reason for concern regarding this exercise.   It is being conducted to create a more challenging, realistic training exercise for soldiers.  Soldiers will be conducting fire fighting training, wellness checks, simulated search and rescue operations, establishing cooling centers, as well as other activities.  These exercises will be conducted throughout Huron and Bruce Counties.

Wellness checks or “door knocks” will be performed in Goderich on Saturday, May 4.   Soldiers will be going door-to-door and speaking with residents to simulate what would happen if they were asked to check on the well-being of residents during an actual emergency.

All measures are being taken to ensure minimum inconvenience to those in the area. Members of the public are asked to take extra caution if approaching military vehicles and troops and are thanked in advance for their understanding and co-operation.

Questions can be directed to 31 Canadian Brigade Group Public Affairs Officer, Lt Paul Verheye at pa**********@fo****.ca.

Please add your thoughts to this post. And hopefully the other video concerning a town in Quebec on an Island which is implementing QR codes for all people to enter and exit the town to how you think about this.

Yes, you read that right.

  1. Projected 40-degree C is fictitious scare mongering. This is the false predicate of it all. From here this communist government takes it license. I will place a sprinkler on the roof of my cottage to oppose the Muslim fire starters. Good luck evicting me.

  2. The average sheeple canuk is in for a very rude awakening. We all here knew this is the kind of insanity that would be coming. Can’t say I’m surprised. I wonder how quickly the real estate market on that Island is going to implode. If a reservist knocked on my door I wouldn’t answer. I hope a few people in those counties at least put up some signs on their front lawn telling the goons to get bent.

  3. The weather angle got me.
The Global Warming Scam: You would be surprised at the high number of people who believe in that.

Other than that, it’s their second year performing this exercise. Is it the same 600 soldiers involved, or a new batch?

Bad vibes, follow your intuition, folks.

    • I don’t think it’s a case they ‘believe’ it so much as aren’t capable of thinking critically about it…. Hear me out.
Most people aren’t really very smart. No, I’m not being rude, it’s true! Many people today don’t even have an internal dialog! They literally do not have a voice in their head that represents their mind… just the sound of the wind whistling between their ears!
So when a representative authority figure (e.g. the talking head on the tee vee) tells them something, anything, the Milgram experiment kicks in and they nod their head. A celebrity or sports figure regurgitates the previous line, and it’s cemented into their minds as truth. Critical though is IMPOSSIBLE at this point.

Look at the crap that happened during the kungflu nonsense. So much of it was simple to logically dispute and dispell, but yet most people were incapable of having a logical argument (about masks that didn’t, or vaccines that didn’t). Anyone capable of critical thought on their own could SEE the bullshit, it was piled so high and so thick. Only stupid people fell for the propaganda.
So why did everyone just go along? They’ve been conditioned to!

For 25+ years all sorts of authority figures have been presenting the climate scam as real. They obfuscate the truth with all kinds of fancy words, even have classes in college, but every one of their predictions have failed to come true? Any critical thinker would see that track-record and KNOW this person is a bullshit artist… BUT, the sheeple go along, because, well, the tee vee told me so, it was on the internet, and the earth moves around the sun, and is flat. Science proves it!

“Fucked” is not a strong enough word to describe the state we find ourselves in.

      • Gotta agree with your conclusion.

But from my observations of the people who resisted the shots and most lines of effort against us all, it seems that it really isn’t a function of intelligence, IQ or raw brainpower.

It seems to me so far at least, that the key to resisting is actually recalcitrance.

Some very bright people i know took the shots because they are conditioned to believe authority even when what is said rings alarm bells in their own heads, such that had anyone at their own or lower level of authority told them to do it, they would have laughed and maybe called the police on them.

There are likely other variables. But at the simplest level I think its mostly recalcitrance that prevented people from taking it.

Doctors until DEI (which needs to be translated into English as ABM or Anything but Merit) were very bright. But they were highly trained to trust in the system since they themselves had a high position of authority in it.

It would be like asking a Duke or a Prince to disavow the Monarchy, as a loose analogy.

Lawyers also, usually bright and capable of abstract reasoning. All the ones I know took the shots.

        • I would add the people took the shots due to an inability to think ahead…
One guy got the shot so he & his wife could go to Jamaica for a week. Seriously. This, after we had been having certain conversations for two years… I thought he was switched on, so to speak, and he went and blew that idea out of the water.
He regrets it now, but that doesn’t mean shit…
          We have since lost touch.
          Oh well.

      • I agree with you. I would say 80% of people who watch cable TV are deficient in intellect, aka no critical thinking skills. Those who don’t watch cable TV are more intelligent.

  4. It could be benign. They do need a place to train with real people to learn how to deal with them and situations in times of environmental distress. Nothing about extreme cold events which can last up to two weeks.

They’re reservists, so I figure it’s a new batch of guys.

    • Mix of old and new guys. Old guys for the leadership positions, new guys for the action and getting the experience of doing their job in the field. Think US National Guard units or UK Territorials (or the RMR) if you think about reservists in Canada.

Really just a new area to train in. That is all. If you go to the same training areas all the time year after year, your navigation skills fade as you begin to recognize the trees, rocks and ruins you always pass by. After 10 years you really begin to know where you are without a map. After 20 you can sometimes get there asleep.

      • Thank you. But new areas can be used without involving the civilian population.

That is the objection I am getting even from Veterans.

        • Real question, what new areas? What did the military buy recently for training areas that have an urban environment? I am pretty sure they didn’t buy anything.

All training off any base/training area will involve civilians. There are no military only roads off base/training area. We all drive the same roads. The military has to get permission to be anyone’s land and has to get signed permission for any training to happen on land outside of a training area. They can’t just rock up and park in your field and start digging trenches and putting up wire and anti-tank obstacles. It doesn’t work that way. They also have to get permission to have weapons off of DND property as well. Forms, forms and more forms is how the military runs.

If you are worried about reservist coming up and knocking on your door do you worry about politicians, religious groups, door to door salesmen, police coming to the door to inform you your loved one has been injured or killed in an accident, etc as well? Don’t answer the door then. They will move on and just mark down no one home on their list. I also suspect that people may have been asked and given permission to be contacted. I suspect this is pretty high on the list of the planning for it, probably ex-service members, legion members would have probably been asked. Might have even asked someone like me to play a cranky old man to give them some hard training.

          • First of all, I very much appreciate your comments.

It is clear we bot are understanding the event the same way, so that is great.

I have a meeting shortly with a Veteran who alerted me to this situation who will add a lot to my understanding. but no, as I understand it, there were flyers posted about the planned exercise, but no permission by the locals were given.

Also, the personal problem I have is that what was once a benign explanation for government over-reach has now become clear is often a lubricant for a sinister reason and intention for government overreach.

Put simply, when they trotted out the military to help with the real ice storm in the 90s I think it was, I didn’t give it a lot of thought.

Now I think they should have asked military personnel if they wanted to help and told them to go out in civies to do so. The military should not be on the streets or interacting with civilians in an official capacity. That is what police are for, and police have different rules and training. Actually this distinction is a key component of democracy.

In any case, I will try and report back after the meeting I have coming up. With any luck, and hoping this is the case, I will come back and fully agree with you, that this is no cause for concern.

But like the new QR codes in one Quebec town, it sure feels like this is another incursion into our lives by a state now willing to destroy careers and kill people to push an experimental gene therapy.

Why anyone would trust them after that is a mystery.

            One last thought…

General vance I think it was, was forced to leave the military on bogus misconduct charges because he refused to use the psy-ops division of the military to assist in vaccine compliance.

            So again…

yeah i need proof of a benign nature. The assumption now has to be malice.

            • Totally agree with the government over reach. Part of them putting SJW stuff into our training was why I left after 20 years. They don’t want good soldiers, they want SJW soldiers. Not that that will do them any good if they need to crack down on people. Incompetent enemies are the type you want to have when they are shooting at you. None of our other enemies (Russia, China, Iran, North Korea, etc.) subscribe to the SJW stuff so they get competent (for there standard) soldiers. We get idiots who can fight their way out of a wet paper bag with big holes in it.

Reservists have to volunteer to go to an aid on operations, domestic or foreign. They cannot be ordered. So they are their voluntarily. The issue is if they are not in uniform people will not listen to/obey them if there is some danger around, if they are injured the military may try to so they were off duty so they don’t get treated/compensated correctly and they may not have the correct civilian equipment to do the job (think winter kit, the Cdn military stuff is great, works well down to -40C, even the sleeping bags. I have bought some surplus stuff because I know the value of the good cold weather gear.).

Hope your meeting goes well. I think you and I could talk for hours on this over a beverage (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) and have a great civil discussion. I am surprised at how well this is all going. Usually I bow out after one or two comments as the flame wars start. Might have to come back and comment more here. But then the hair’s CSE might pay attention to me.

      • Thanks. I’m following the conversations on this post.
If it is benign, I’m certain not all citizens would agree to such an immense disruption in their lives. Surely, there must be compensation somewhere.

What is worrisome is the military exercise is imposed on the people.

    • Dude, they will be lucky to be issued a weapon and more than one mag. They will not have any ammo, not even blank. This is Canada, we can’t afford the ammo to give them all 10 rounds of blank or ball. Plus if they lose a mag, they are in big trouble. 30 round mags are prohibited in Canada for civilians to possess. There is no way they want that to happen. Been on numerous exercises where people, myself included, lost a mag doing a section attack, patrol, defensive fighting, FIBUA, etc, and had to find it. Hours spent searching the area to find one $20.00 mag because we have stupid gun laws and enlisted soldiers have to be accountable but politicians don’t.

  5. Former reservist that was in 31 Bde. This has been done before. Did an exercise in southern Ontario that was counter insurgency based probably 10-15 years ago. Played the terrorists. All the action was on land approved by the owner. The local constabulary knew we were there with guns and blanks. There were announcements made in the local paper about it. I think they did radio as well.

It is all good training for the troops to be somewhere other than the very well known training areas of Meaford, Borden and Petawawa. They stopped doing this sort of thing due to money, like all military training.

You can definitely not worry about this. The Canadian government doesn’t have the money to buy the ammo they need to hold this country in a war. Know a few guys who have more ammo in storage than most reserve units get to fire in a year.

    • Totally understand and agree.

The issue here is that they are using the civilians for the exercise. That is the part which is anathema.

      • So the question then becomes how does one train the troops for aid to the civil power and interaction with the civilian population? Think the time they sent the reservists to help the people trapped around Sarnia in the snow storm years ago. Do we stop doing that sort of operation then? Do we just say “Well we should have done training with local populations but the people didn’t want it so we crapped the bed dealing with them during this emergency.” Would you accept that as an answer when the military comes to help you, because they are the only ones who can when it is bad enough (see limited [police and everyone else] and un-limited liability [military] in the work place, i.e. who can you send to their deaths by order if required)? If your answer is that it is okay to not use them in training then when you get a messed up response in the real world then you need to accept the failure as yours, not the military’s failure. You didn’t want them to do the training, it is yours. Accept it. If you are willing (as a society and personally!!) to accept that then by all means don’t let the reservists interact with civilians. Just don’t complain when they don’t work well with you in an emergency.

It boils down to training as you fight. The leadership will learn things about what they should and shouldn’t do in aid to the civil power situations, e.g. dealing with local government minions, dealing with the local constabulary, dealing with the press, dealing with pissed off locals, dealing with rations and quartering issues, operating in a modern urban environment, operating off base, operating under 24 hr civilian surveillance and complaints to the internet/social media, etc. The troops will learn how to interact with people while in uniform doing humanitarian tasks. If you don’t do this sort of training then you will not do well when it really needs to happen. Or it will be a horrible mess that doesn’t help anyone and people will complain afterwards they should have done the training which you don’t want them to do. So it becomes a circular, chicken and egg thing here.

Let’s be honest here, these are reservists. Part-time soldiers. The young guys are all high school or university or college students. The old guys are pretty much all people with full time jobs to pay the bills. They all do this for the love of country and they are doing it on their days off, usually weekends. These are not regular force troops who don’t deal with civilians very much and you can see it when they are on leave or in public. These are the people across the road, down the street, in the stores, in the factories, in the schools, who deal with civilians all the time. They will be polite (or at least my troops would have been for sure no matter what), they will respect the property of people, they will be more scared of their Senior Non-Commissioned Officers (SNCOs) giving them a bollocking for putting the image of their unit (not the army, F the rest of the army, we are the best unit in Canada if not the world!) in a bad light than anything else. They won’t be doing anything wrong or bad. In fact they are probably the people you want more of in the country than less of.

I see it as a great opportunity for the boys to get good training. You see it as an interference in people’s lives and a government planning for a take over. If it was regular force I would agree but these are reservists. They are the ones who will pull your behind out of the fire when they are needed. This is more aid the the civil power stuff. If you think it isn’t you are free to think so, it is a mainly, sort of, not so free country. (Please don’t tell the hair what I said, I don’t want to go to the gulag.)
