Regardless of whatever ceasefire agreements Donald Trump wants to make with any country or terrorist group in the Middle East, one thing will always remain…
Israel WILL hunt down and kill every last Gazan, whether Hamas or not, who took part in the October 7 massacre. Just as we hunted down the terrorists who murdered our athletes at the Munich Olympics for years after, we will go after every terrorist who entered Israel on 10/7. No country on Earth will prevent justice from being served. This isn’t a negotiation. It isn’t a soft request. We’re not seeking the world’s approval nor their permission. Every last terrorist will be found and will be taken out.
Hamas and Gazans had the chance to release hostages at anytime during the more than two years many were held for. Not a single Gazan helped. Not one. Even some Germans helped during WW2. But not one Gazan. How we serve justice isn’t up to any other country. Like it or don’t like it, tough shit. If Europe for example helped hide Hamas members inside Europe, we will find them. Turkey and Qatar having Hamas leaders who were involved living safely in their countries… we will find each one.
It’s a promise. We keep our promises on these matters.

A correct response in principle.
IMO the US is attempting a holding action in Syria, trying to keep all the power there from wandering into Ankara’s hands after Iran (and Russia) basically fled with the demise of Assad.
It’s a balancing act with jihadi cohorts (son of ISIS) and incipient resurgence of Iran-Hezbollah links.
Erdogan is pushing at more than half-throttle to subjugate Kurds and build up Turkey’s power in Syria. He’s been making neo-Ottoman noises for decades, and must be taken seriously. No. Stopping him is necessary for the whole region.

Richard: Conspiracy theories prior to the war wondered if Iran had sleeper cells in the U.S. brought up through the southern border, ready to be mobilized when needed. Either there are none, or effective American agents have neutralized them, or Iran is extremely patient. What do you think? Or, as an afterthought, they are waiting for mobilization orders from north of your border?
