The video is one thing and feels awfully fake in the sense that why is there only one REALLY crappy video out there? It is almost as if this group stood on the bridge at a very specific time so that one car could film them, the film could me made as crappy as needs be, and then the drop scattered before anyone else could take a decent video.
It isn’t like every passenger in every car that wen’t under that overpass didn’t have a phone camera in their hands at the time, right?
But the CTV’s characterization of the event feels like a script. They are fully explaining what this fuzzy video means and what the group wants as if they interviewed the leader., when in fact they don’t know more than this video shows. Or do they? This feels like a script to make anyone against the total deracination of Canada or any Western country through mass immigration to be equated with a genocidal “far right wing” Nazi. Interestingly the only genocide is of legacy Canadians by mass immigration and policies and laws that negate Canada’s traditional legal codes, and of course, the second irony is that in fact the Nazis are a far left wing group, just like the communists. In fact are just a mild variation of communism,.
The camera also appears to be pointing BACKWARDS from before they went under the overpass. Dollars to donuts that the driver would NOT be able to see these people standing on the far side of the bridge. How would they know to start the camera pointing backwards as they went under the bridge? This stinks. The fact that its on CTV also adds a great deal to the smell
CTV claims it was Dashcam footage. Ok then. But most dash cams face forward, do they not?
I wonder if the staff at CTV and CBC and Global all get a piece of paper at the end of the week saying: “This paycheque represents 30 pieces of silver”.

Journalism is a tricky thing these days.
Once upon a time, the job of the journalist was to get the best out of the interview subject. It wasn’t to make propaganda, it was to get the person to explain themselves as well as possible.
There are several ways to do this. One was to ask the kind of hostile questions that a serious detractor, or even the regular fellow on the street who might be hostile to the guest’s position would ask, and let the subject answer honestly and fully without interruption or hostile attitudes shown during the answer.
Enter the left:
Something changed of course over the last 25 years and really noticeably in the last 15 in Canada and Western Europe.
Journalism became propaganda to push state narratives.
Anyone who opposed those state narratives was seeking trouble.
Journalists in countries with vestigial freedom would actually do interviews to push counter-narrative views as a very logical reaction to state narratives.
You can use any of mine as an example of this. I interviewed a lot of doctors and scientists during the Covid years. My intention was to provide a platform for them to actually explain what they believed about state Covid policies and the value or dangers of the mRNA vaxx without a hostile or dishonestly edited environment.
It was and is absolutely necessary because truth and freedom of expression are both over now in the West, to varying degrees and and worse, the direction is extremely clear other than in the USA. Thanks to the Trump admin, they are enjoying a slight reprieve.
At this stage one of the few strategies a journalist can use is to pretend that they have no idea what the position of the guest is, and say banalities and let the guest speak.
This way the host has some deniability in terms of their role in the discussion.
It will be a much more common strategy soon, as Canada passes laws against “climate denialism” and Residential Schools denialism”.
Truth, is in fact the new hate speech. And finding ways around it as opposed to fighting these Orwellian/Marxist communist laws directly will be what people do while they are still willing to do anything at all against Islam and the left.
Islam, most of the left, PLUS a growing segment of the right as it approaches its horseshoe extreme.
It’ll smack you in the face if you read conservative blog threads on hot topics. Scroll past scriptural drivel and you’ll find eclectic notions of “truth” no one dare challenge.
The more extreme points of view are tolerated, the more they gain traction. If unchecked, they overwhelm everything else. The Overton window may as well shatter entirely when “dialogue” opens the kind of window Putin might fancy.
Neither left nor right.
Call them all “communists” if you need a disparaging term, but that’s a facile anachronism. Any old gnostic movement will split as it degenerates. In times of insecurity people gravitate to the mob they perceive as strong.
Thank you for pointing out that Nazis are left wing. I’m so sick and tired of hearing about “right wing Nazis and fascists” and “far right neo-Nazis”. We must be on the 4th generation of this nonsense now. The only thing right wing about Nazis and Fascists, is that everyone knows Nazis and Fascists are bad, so the left promulgated the narrative that they are right wing. Nazis and Fascists have no right wing characteristics. If it doesn’t look like a duck, doesn’t walk like a duck, and doesn’t quack like a duck, it’s not a duck.
It is my contention that calling the Nazis “far right wing” is the greatest lie of the 20th century.
