Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

  2. When everybody knows that everybody knows, it means the fearful whispers behind closed doors come out into the public square.

    Here, out of anger and desperation, fear takes a holiday. So weary are the people of lies and oppression that finally, in a moment when they realize it will cost more to remain silent than to speak out, they flood the streets like a freedom army. So overwhelmed is this showing in its resolve that the police and the army switch sides because they, too, are victims. Also, they are suddenly aware that to refuse the freedom army means they can no longer live among the common folk if they continue being part of the oppression; they can no longer deny the ferocity of the anger they are witnessing.     Similarly, the people eventually awaken to financial oppression. When everybody knows that everybody knows that the U.S. dollar has lost 98% of its purchasing power–and counting–since August 15th, 1971, they awaken with fury and abandon.

    The people suddenly realize that inflation is a hidden tax, paced at the sneaky rate of 2% annually, required to secretly feed the Ponzi scheme that enables the Keynesian dictator. When everybody knows that everybody knows there is no turning back. The people are hit by the bolt of lightning that their everyday toil, their time and their lives and everything they do during every waking hour is squandered because their energy is not to be saved in this elaborate state of slavery. “If we cannot save the fruits of our labour why do we work every day?” shouts one angry voice in the crowd. “What can we give to our children!” shouts another.   4. Lest we forget this horrific Ottawa bus crash that resulted because of a DEI hire. Even in the comments the point seems missed: if you can’t see, slow down.

    • Just this morning Bloomberg radio was interviewing a professor from some biz school. (They mostly interview “elites”, so H. Wharton, Sloan.)

      Professor said they no longer assign real books. Just excerpts, reviews, sometimes audiobooks. The rather traditional interviewer was horrified. Professor cut him off, “That’s the way it is. I don’t want to become obsolete.”
