Today, four Iranian government planes took off for Oman. Negotiations are coming up.
The best outcome would be a Constitutional Monarchy, one that allows for the people to have a large say about what is going to happen in the nation.
HOPEFULLY the people of Iran can vote for their choice for a leader. Just off hand this seems like a state department install. “Trust me I’m your new leader” . What’s that old saying? “Never underestimate the US government’s ability to f@ck this one up too. Regime change isn’t their strong suit.
It isn’t anyone’s strong suit, the reason I said a Constitutional Monarchy is that the exiled Prince is playing patriot and the people are upset, mix the two in their proper proportions and you will have a semi stable government. But we will have to find some way to keep all of the other nations governments, including our own from interfering.

Robert Heinlein (a graduate of Annapolis) said that no matter how much you bomb the enemy the war isn’t over until a scared kid with a knife on the end of a rifle digs them out of their holes. Hopefully those will be Iranian kids fighting their own war of freedom and not US kids trying to nation build.
One of the many things that the left doesn’t understand is how people will work hard to protect things they have build but will ignore and throw away things they are given. Helping the Iranian people free themselves and establish a new government that is Western in their orientation gives the Iranian people a stake in the nation. Having other nations free them and set up a government the other nations like is just a different kind of occupation by Dictators which will be opposed and eventually thrown out.
Do your good works by working with Human Nature instead of working against it.
