60 USAID Officials Removed From Duty
According to media reports, President Trump has removed the entire leadership structure of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), previously run by Samantha Power.
This is not necessarily a domestic issue. Those who walk the deepest political weeds well understand that USAID is the cover agency for the interventionist efforts of the CIA. USAID is the agency silo that coordinates the meddling in foreign elections, organizes the revolutions and political opposition of those deemed out of alignment with global democratic norms, funds the NGOs who do the ground operations, and generally seeks to replace foreign leaders.
President Trump has just removed the entire leadership structure of the USAID enterprise, approximately 60 government officials. You can bet that nationalist leaders of foreign countries are smiling now while Brussels (EU Commission) is left wondering who will pay for the foot soldiers.
In other words, this means that the US might find it more difficult for a while to stage colour revolutions against popular and constitutionally conservative leaders like Viktor Orban. This is, a great thing. In fact, those I know of the left that spat nails about the US because of their foreign interference should be joyful about this. But I think we all know how it will actually play out in the leftist press.
6. This is my favorite story of the year so far. We already know that soft sciences like biology and sociology can be sued and are illegal when they don’t have the right views. A Detroit rapper has filed a lawsuit against Lyft, alleging that one of its drivers canceled her ride due to her weight.
Dajua Blanding sued the rideshare company and the driver, identified as John Doe, in Michigan’s Circuit Court for Wayne County on Monday, Jan. 27.
Blanding, whose stage name is Dank Demoss, alleged that on Jan. 18, she “paid” Lyft for transportation from her home to her cousin’s house for a football game watch party. Doe arrived at Blanding’s home around 10 to 15 minutes later. When she tried to get inside Doe’s vehicle, he allegedly “refused,” to let her in, court documents obtained by PEOPLE on Tuesday, Jan. 28, allege.
“Specifically, as Plaintiff walked towards the vehicle, Defendant John Doe locked the doors to his vehicle and attempted to drive away,” the lawsuit alleges, adding that Blanding was “shocked.”
Blanding then asked Doe why he tried to leave. He allegedly told her he wouldn’t allow her in his vehicle because she was “too big.” He then allegedly informed her he was canceling her ride.
The filing alleges that Doe told Blanding “she was too big to fit in the back seat,” and “his tires were not capable of supporting Plaintiff’s weight.” Blanding responded and told Doe there was enough room for her to fit in the back seat “and she did not require a bigger car.”
The only defence that might work could be that machines have rights to, and it is discrimination to expect a small electric Honda to do the job of two forklifts.
