Sunny ways? Happy daze? Early Spring? A country sings?
I should have known yesterday when, upon hearing a noise in my office, I discovered a little mouse had trapped him (her/it/them) self in the paper recycling bin. It was a sign.
Also, when I accidentally dropped a spoon on the floor it meant a fat lady would crawl through my basement window. But that was a sign for something completely different, not the trapped mouse thing.
I released the mouse outside, thinking it was the end of what I had by now labeled Operation Hard Time, but would only have this end confirmed later when, while driving home, I happened across the neighborhood fox trotting across the street. This emaciated, mangy runt of a fox flashed me a wink and a smile indicating a possible recent meal of fresh mouse meat. I rejoiced in my heart while knowing it was too soon to be too optimistic. Vermin is resilient.
Exiting from my vehicle in my home driveway I was hit by the stink of skunk, aka the Nazi Midget Hellbitch Whore, aka Chrystia Freeland, who waddled by twitchingly like a cross between an Azov and a chicken. Contrary to recent indicators this NMHW had not gone quietly into the good winter. Not only that, but she was trailed by the worst Irish Snake aka Mark Carney, who slithered on her slime. He hissed at me in passing, his long serpent tongue sniffing at the political winds, whispering to me that he was, in fact, King of the Shithouse.
Shaken and stirred I recoiled into my home hoping for respite from this storm of metaphors. As I crossed the threshold of my doorway my attention was arrested by singing emanating from my basement. It was deafening. Indeed, a fat lady aka the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation had crawled in through my basement window, just as my superstition had ordained.
She sang about the departure from power of Justin Trudeau, aka Dear Leader, Dear Pleader and Dear Needer, who had skipped daddy’s walk in the snow.
The City of Rats prepared to ring all the bells in celebration. Whoville, however, would have but a millisecond of joy for, unbeknownst to all the little peepo, communists never sleep.
In epilogue, Dear Leader would close one door, but later exit from his very own personal closet, which would surprise no one, least of all his former useless wife.
The End (aka the end of the beginning).

Pakistani abuser abused his own (half polish) daughter, gets stitches:
Sara Sharif’s dad ‘sliced in neck’ with jagged tuna tin lid after being ambushed by Belmarsh inmates
https://www.gbnews.com/news/sara-sharif-dad-urfan-sharif-sliced-neck-hmp-belmarsh-london?dicbo=v2-pvEH3qk
Sara Sharif’s father has had his throat “sliced” with a jagged tuna tin lid by a pair of inmates at London’s notorious prison HMP Belmarsh.
Urfan Sharif, 43, was branded an “executioner” late last month when he was jailed for the horrific murder of the 10-year-old girl after years of abuse.
Sharif, who was handed a life sentence behind bars for a minimum of 40 years, was reportedly attacked by two fellow inmates on New Year’s Day for murdering his daughter, according to The Sun.
Insiders told the newspaper that the pair were outraged by his abuse of Sara – and the 43-year-old was fortunate to survive the attack.
[..]
Sara Sharif died on August 8, 2023, in Woking, Surrey. Her body was found two days later with dozens of injuries.
The Old Bailey previously heard the girl had been burned and beaten during a more than two-year-long campaign of abuse.

“After Sara died, instead of calling 999, the three defendants [Urfan Sharif, Beinash Batool and Faisal Malik] immediately made plans to flee the country, thinking only of themselves and not telling police Sara was dead until they had safely landed in Pakistan.”

‘Deeply disturbing’ views of Muslim Council candidates revealed

‘Deeply disturbing’ remarks made by the two candidates vying to lead the Muslim Council of Britain have been uncovered by a think tank.
Dr Muhammad Adrees and Dr Mohammed Wajid Akhter are battling it out to become the secretary-general of the group, with their first public hustings to take place on Tuesday.
But just days before the debate, right-wing think tank Policy Exchange has published a report highlighting some of their previous remarks which Britain’s longest serving Muslim MP Khalid Mahmood has described as ‘deeply disturbing’.
Policy Exchange’s report, titled ‘The Muslim Council of Britain’s new leadership’, claims Dr Adrees ‘has strongly supported the dictatorial regime in Iran’.
While Dr Akhter, from Essex, is said to have ‘expressed views which appear ominous for the integration of Muslims into Britain’.
The document points to a 2022 article in which he advocated British Muslims to identify primarily as Muslim rather than British.

Home Office refuses to publish groomer deportations data

The Home Office is refusing to publish figures for the number of grooming gang members that have been deported.
The department has declined to put the figures in the public domain despite an outcry over child sexual exploitation and demands for a fresh state-backed inquiry into the abuse.
Labour last week refused to launch a public inquiry into historic sexual abuse by gangs in Oldham, saying it was for the council to decide whether one was necessary.
The Home Office’s refusal comes after calls from Suella Braverman, a former home secretary, for a “zero tolerance approach” to the deportation of foreign child sex offenders.
She said: “We need to have a zero tolerance approach when it comes to deporting those foreign nationals who have been found guilty of these heinous crimes.”
As of 2024, a convicted Rochdale grooming gang ringleader was still living in the city where he abused children some nine years after his deportation was ordered.
Qari Abdul Rauf was one of nine Asian men convicted of sex offences against vulnerable girls in the Greater Manchester town in 2012.
Rauf was sentenced to six years in jail but was released in November 2014 having served just two years and six months.
Theresa May, then home secretary, ordered him to be sent back to Pakistan but he was still in Rochdale as of this time in 2024, with his victims forced to live alongside him.

There have been various investigations and reports into cases of child grooming in recent years.
Here, the PA news agency takes a look at the timeline of events.
[..]
– 2023
Home Secretary Suella Braverman faces criticism after singling out British Pakistani men over concerns about grooming gangs.
Ms Braverman, who alluded to high-profile cases including in Rotherham and Rochdale, pointed to a “predominance of certain ethnic groups – and I say British Pakistani males – who hold cultural values totally at odds with British values, who see women in a demeaned and illegitimate way and pursue an outdated and frankly heinous approach in terms of the way they behave”.
Her language is rebuked by some campaigners, while the NSPCC emphasises that an excessive focus on race could create new “blind spots”.
– 2024
A report published in January concludes girls were “left at the mercy” of paedophile grooming gangs in Rochdale for years because of failings by senior police and council bosses.
The damning 173-page review covers 2004 to 2013 and sets out multiple failed investigations by Greater Manchester Police (GMP) and apparent local authority indifference to the plight of hundreds of youngsters, mainly white girls from poor backgrounds, all identified as potential victims of abuse in Rochdale by Asian men.

France marks 10 years since Charlie Hebdo as six go on trial for second attack
https://www.msn.com/en-us/crime/general/france-marks-10-years-since-charlie-hebdo-as-six-go-on-trial-for-second-attack/ar-AA1x2Hvh
Six men face a three-week trial starting on Monday for their involvement in a knife attack which injured two people outside the former offices of the satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo in September 2020.
The attack occurred five years after two Islamist extremists stormed the publication’s offices with assault rifles in 2015, killing 12 people, including eight of the newspaper’s staff.
[..]
Zaheer Mahmood, who is on trial for acting as the meat cleaver bearer in the 2020 attack, did not know that Charlie Hebdo had moved offices after January 2015 when he carried out the assault.
He targeted two individuals standing outside the publication’s former offices on their cigarette break, but who did not work for Charlie Hebdo. Both victims survived.
[..]
During police interrogations, the 2020 attacker Zaheer Mahmood said one of the drawings of Prophet Muhammad, which was republished in Charlie Hebdo in early September 2020, as a cause behind his “anger”.
On the morning of the attack, he stated, “here, today, on Friday 25 September, I’m going to go and revolt against that,” in a video shared on social media.
[..]
Mahmood faces charges of terrorist murder, while the five other defendants on trial are accused of criminal terrorist conspiracy, according to documents seen by French news outlet France Info. Three of the men, all Pakistani, were under 18 in 2020, meaning the trial has to be held at a juvenile court.
Although Mahmood did not pledge allegiance to a specific terrorist group, investigators revealed his interest in videos of Khadim Hussain Rizvi, founder of the Islamist party Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan. Rizvi’s party backs the country’s controversial blasphemy laws that carry a death sentence for insulting Islam and the Prophet Muhammad.

BREAKING: Trump Launches Legal Challenge to Halt Judge Merchan’s Sentencing in Junk Hush Money Case

President Trump on Monday morning launched a legal challenge to halt Judge Juan Merchan’s sentencing in the lawfare hush money case.
If Trump is sentenced, he will officially be a ‘convicted felon’ which is why Merchan is trying to move forward with the sentencing.
Trump will be sentenced in Alvin Bragg’s lawfare hush money case on January 10 before his inauguration.
“This court finds that neither the vacatur of the jury’s verdicts nor dismissal of the indictment are required by the Presidential immunity doctrine, the Presidential Transition Act or the Supremacy Clause,” Judge Juan Merchan wrote last Friday.
Merchan said Trump will not serve time behind bars and allowed him to appear virtually at his sentencing this week.
In April, Trump was convicted on all 34 felony counts after he was accused of paying porn star Stormy Daniels, AKA, Stephanie Clifford, ‘hush payments’ through his then-attorney Michael Cohen in a scheme to silence her and stop the story about their alleged affair from being published in the National Enquirer.
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg alleged Trump committed fraud because the payment was labeled “legal fees.”
Merchan previously rejected Trump’s effort to overturn the felony conviction based on the presidential immunity argument after the Supreme Court ruled that US presidents have immunity from prosecution for official acts.
Trump’s lawyers argued that Merchan lacked authority to proceed with sentencing because Trump is still appealing the judge’s ruling.
ABC News reported:
President-elect Donald Trump on Monday asked the judge overseeing his criminal hush money case in New York to halt his sentencing in the case, currently set for Friday.
In a court filing Monday, Trump’s attorneys argued that Merchan “will lack authority to proceed with sentencing” because Trump is still appealing Merchan’s earlier ruling that the Supreme Court’s presidential immunity decision does not apply to the New York hush money case.
“Forcing a President to continue to defend a criminal case — potentially through trial or, even more dramatically here, through sentencing and judgment — while the appellate courts are still grappling with his claim of immunity would, in fact, force that President ‘to answer for his conduct in court’ before his claim of immunity is finally adjudicated,” defense attorneys Todd Blanche and Emil Bove wrote.
Trump’s attorneys said it did not matter.
“It is of no moment that the Court has suggested an intention to impose a sentence of unconditional discharge. While it is indisputable that the fabricated charges in this meritless case should have never been brought, and at this point could not possibly justify a sentence more onerous than that, no sentence at all is appropriate based on numerous legal errors — including legal errors directly relating to Presidential immunity that President Trump will address in the forthcoming appeals,” the defense said in Monday’s filing.

IT’ S OFFICIAL: Joe Biden Bans ALL Future Offshore Oil and Gas Drilling in Bid to Sabotage President Trump – Trump Responds
thegatewaypundit.com/2025/01/it-s-official-joe-biden-bans-all-future/
Jan. 6, 2025 10:00 am
Joe Biden is not finished sabotaging his successor before he finally leaves the White House in complete disgrace.
As The Daily Mail reported, Joe Biden has officially banned ALL future offshore oil and gas drilling in an effort to sabotage President Trump’s vote to unleash American energy dominance, which includes offshore drilling. Trump has also vowed to ditch Biden’s environmentally damaging ‘green’ energy policies.
Biden announced Monday morning he is utilizing his power under the 70-year-old Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act to block all future oil and natural gas leasing in more than 625 million acres of federal waters. Established in 1953, this act gives the United States jurisdiction over submerged lands beyond state coastal waters and allows the federal government to lease offshore resources.
Biden’s ban will put a permanent halt to offshoring drilling in all federal waters off the East and West coasts, the eastern Gulf of Mexico, and portions of the northern Bering Sea in Alaska. The Western Gulf of Mexico, where drilling is already happening, would still be permitted to drill.
Biden released a statement arguing that allowing more offshore drilling would result in ‘irreversible’ environmental damage and he has no choice but to protect the coasts for ‘our children and grandchildren.’
“Drilling off these coasts could cause irreversible damage to places we hold dear and is unnecessary to meet our nation’s energy needs. It is not worth the risks,” Biden said.
“As the climate crisis continues to threaten communities across the country and we are transitioning to a clean energy economy, now is the time to protect these coasts for our children and grandchildren,” he continued.
Trump responded to Biden’s latest nasty scheme while being interviewed by conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt a short time ago. He called the move ‘ridiculous’ and vowed to reverse as soon as he took office.
“I see it just came over that Biden has banned all oil and gas drilling across 625 million acres of U.S. coastal territory,” Trump stated. “It’s ridiculous. I’ll unban it immediately.”

But unlike traditional executive actions, Trump will face an arduous process in trying to override Biden’s latest act of sabotage. A 2019 court ruling states that Presidents do not have the authority to overturn prior bans issued under The Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act.
In the that case, Trump lost a bid to reverse Arctic and Atlantic Ocean bans made by Barack Obama near the end of his presidency.
As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, Biden was prepared to permanently ban new offshore oil and gas development in key U.S. coastal waters, which would be “difficult to revoke protections for sensitive marine areas.”

The Gateway Pundit also revealed that the Biden regime announced last week that it will bar oil, gas, and geothermal development in northeastern Nevada’s Ruby Mountains for the next 20 years.
This sweeping restriction covers an estimated 264,000 acres of federal land and effectively halts new energy exploration in the region.

A 2019 court ruling states that Presidents do not have the authority to overturn prior bans issued under The Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act.
What court other the Supreme Court limits Presidential authority in this manner? Sounds fishy to me.
I agree this has a bad smell to it, I don’t know what court is suppose to have issued the ruling but it doesn’t seen right.
I am not familiar with the law they are using so I don’t know for sure what can be done, I do know that the current Supreme Court will probably back Trump.
Merrick Garland Tells Whopper of a Lie as He Defends Jan 6 Prosecutions Ahead of Trump 2024 Certification

Merrick Garland
Outgoing US Attorney General Merrick Garland on Monday defended his persecution aggressive prosecution of Trump supporters who merely walked through the Capitol on January 6, 2021.
Garland released a statement ahead of Congress’s certification of the 2024 election.
More than 1,500 January 6ers – many nonviolent, first time offenders – have been charged by Merrick Garland’s DOJ in the last four years.
Biden’s DOJ hunted down MAGA grandmothers and other non-violent offenders and threw them in the DC gulag.
Merrick Garland defended his actions and told a whopper of a lie about DC Metro and Capitol police officers.
“On this day, four years ago, police officers were brutally assaulted while bravely defending the United States Capitol. They were punched, tackled, tased, and attacked with chemical agents that burned their eyes and skin. Today, I am thinking of the officers who still bear the scars of that day as well as the loved ones of the five officers who lost their lives in the line of duty as a result of what happened to them on January 6, 2021,” Garland said.
Not one police officer died in the line of duty on January 6, 2021.
“January 6 was a violent attack on the law enforcement officers defending the Capitol, and it was an unprecedented attack on a cornerstone of our system of government — the peaceful transfer of power from one administration to the next,” Garland said.
He continued, “Over the past four years, our prosecutors, FBI agents, investigators, and analysts have conducted one of the most complex, and most resource-intensive investigations in the Justice Department’s history.”
Garland boasted about locking up more than 1,500 Trump supporters.
“They have analyzed massive amounts of physical and digital data, identified and arrested hundreds of people who took part in unlawful conduct that day, and initiated prosecutions and secured convictions across a wide range of criminal conduct. We have now charged more than 1,500 individuals for crimes that occurred on January 6, as well as in the days and weeks leading up to the attack,” he said.
Merrick Garland absurdly claimed his prosecutors, who ignored the Supreme Court’s ruling on the 1512(c)(2) obstruction charge.
“The public servants of the Justice Department have sought to hold accountable those criminally responsible for the January 6 attack on our democracy with unrelenting integrity. They have conducted themselves in a manner that adheres to the rule of law and honors our obligation to protect the civil rights and civil liberties of everyone in this country,” Garland said.
“I am proud of them, and I am grateful to them for them for the work they have done and the sacrifices they have made over the last four years to seek accountability for the January 6 attack on the Capitol,” he concluded.

Hypocritical LGBTQ Leftists Now ‘Arming’ Themselves Over Baseless ‘Concentration Camp’ Fears Under Trump: Report

The left’s obsession with gun control has taken an ironic and hypocritical twist as LGBTQ activists and socialist groups rush to arm themselves, driven by unfounded fears of a supposed dystopian future under a Trump administration.
The Philadelphia Inquirer recently highlighted leftist organizations like the Socialist Rifle Association—a far-left counterpart to the National Rifle Association—and Pink Pistols, both of which have experienced significant increases in membership and firearm acquisitions within their communities.
The left’s newfound interest in firearms stems from apocalyptic fantasies of “concentration camps” and “hate-driven oppression” should Trump return to office.
One individual, identified as “A.” by the Inquirer, epitomizes this contradiction, purchasing a Ruger Security-380 while railing against Republican ads supposedly portraying her as a threat.
“Three months before the election, that’s when the alarm bells started to ring… Minorities that are armed are more difficult to legally oppress,” A said adding she’s ready to fight back “in the event of hate crimes or terrorist attacks.”
Matthew Thompson, a gay man from New Jersey, justified his purchase of a gun by citing fears of being “put in concentration camps.”
“The people I’ve been seeing on the left and the gay people who are out purchasing guns for the first time, it’s all about self-defense and fear,” said Thompson. “We’re not looking to arm up and storm the capital. We just don’t want to be put in concentration camps.”
Madeline Shearman, a self-described trans woman from Glen Mills, Pennsylvania, told The Inquirer that she organizes “2A social groups” to train LGBTQ individuals in gun use.
“There’s definitely a feeling among a lot of LGBT individuals: ‘If I can’t protect myself, who will?’… I feel that way myself,” Shearman said.
More from the news outlet:
It’s difficult to track rises and falls in LGBTQ gun ownership because there are few published studies about the relatively small population, said David Yamane, a professor of sociology at Wake Forest University and author of the book Gun Curious.
But in general, Yamane argues that American gun culture has dramatically shifted in recent years, away from a focus on hunting and recreation and toward a focus on self-defense, the core of what he calls “Gun Culture 2.0.” As the culture has shifted, people who own guns have become far more diverse. He pointed to 2020 as a pivotal year.
“It was a period of tremendous social unrest and social uncertainty. And a large number of people in the United States, under those conditions, look to firearms to reestablish some sense of safety and security,” Yamane said. He added that racial and gender minorities “led the way” in terms of new gun ownership rates in 2020 and afterward.
Yamane also pointed to other political moments that have fueled gun interest in the LGBTQ community. Pink Pistols, which has more than two dozen chapters across the country, was originally founded in 2000 after the writer Jonathan Rauch proposed in a Salon article that “homosexuals should embark on organized efforts to become comfortable with guns, learn to use them safely and carry them. They should set up Pink Pistols task forces, sponsor shooting courses and help homosexuals get licensed to carry.”
For decades, the left has sought to erode Americans’ Second Amendment rights, pushing for stricter gun control laws under the guise of public safety. Yet, when faced with imagined threats, they conveniently abandon their principles.

On a brisk Saturday afternoon, A. crouched in a boxer’s stance, knees bent, one hip forward, raised her new Ruger Security-380 pistol aloft with both hands, and pulled the trigger. Spent gold casings clinked to the ground as a paper plate across the range filled with bullet holes. Next to her, a row of men in sweatshirts and earmuffs affably shot their own marks.
A., who The Inquirer is identifying by the first letter of her first name because of safety concerns, is new to the world of shooting ranges and target practice. As a trans woman who lives in Philadelphia, she began seriously considering armed self-defense this summer, as she saw Texas uphold a ban on gender-affirming care for minors and Florida prohibit nurse practitioners from prescribing hormones to transgender people. She watched with increasing dread as Republicans spent nearly $215 million on network TV ads portraying people like her as a dangerous threat to the country.
“Three months before the election, that’s when the alarm bells started to ring,” A., who is 24 and speaks carefully and thoughtfully, said recently. When she mentioned wanting to learn how to fire a gun to friends, they stared at her blankly.
But she felt she couldn’t have been more rational. On Nov. 2, she bought her first gun, at Delia’s Gun Shop in Northeast Philly.

“Minorities that are armed are more difficult to legally oppress,” she said. She was reassured by the idea that “in the event of hate crimes or terrorist attacks, knowing that, ‘OK, I’m personally armed and I can protect my property and people that are close to me.’” She is applying for a concealed carry permit in Pennsylvania, though she doesn’t plan to carry the gun with her every day.
By the end of her practice at the outdoor range at French Creek State Park, bullet casings littered the ground near her backpack and water bottle, which was decorated with rainbow hearts and a “Protect Trans Kids” sticker.

New Jersey Teachers No Longer Have to Pass Basic Skills Test for Certification
thegatewaypundit.com/2025/01/new-new-jersey-teachers-no-longer-have-pass/
Jan. 6, 2025 9:45 am
Thanks to Democrat Governor Phil Murphy, those who wish to become teachers in New Jersey are now no longer required to pass a basic skills test in order to be certified.
Act 1669 was approved in 2024 and went into effect on January 1, 2025.
The Act eliminates the need for those seeking certification to pass the Praxis Core Test, which measures basic skills for reading, writing, and math.
According to the new law, “[T]he State Board of Education shall not require a candidate seeking a certificate of eligibility, a certificate of eligibility with advanced standing, a provisional certificate, or a standard instructional certificate to complete a Commissioner of Education-approved test of basic reading, writing, and mathematics skills including, but not limited to, the Praxis Core Academic Skills for Educators test, in order to obtain a certificate of eligibility, a certificate of eligibility with advanced standing, a provisional certificate, or a standard instructional certificate.”
Fox News reports:
The Praxis Core Academic Skills for Educators test is used by over 40 states and territories in the country and includes questions on English and mathematics as well as basic questions on specific subjects.
“We need more teachers. This is the best way to get them,” Democratic state Sen. Jim Beach argued when the bill was passed.
Erika Sanzi, a former educator and the director of outreach at Parents Defending Education, noted, “These are low-rigor tests. We’re not talking about the LSAT here.”
“So the fact that the failure rates on these tests have been so high for so long, that is a problem.”
“That’s really an indictment of not only of the education system that these aspiring teachers are coming out of but the colleges of education that give them a degree even though they’re not remotely qualified.”
“Teacher shortages are real in some subjects, that is true, but eliminating the test requirement, in my opinion, does not bode well for students who are still trying to recover from massive learning losses during the pandemic.”

Scientists have inched closer to integrating diamonds into silicon-based computer chips, after lowering the temperatures needed to grow them in the lab and melding the process with quantum mechanics.
Diamonds are highly desirable for use in electronics. That’s because their specific crystal lattice structure lets them withstand high electrical voltages, while they can also dissipate heat incredibly well because they are not electrically conductive. But to be made in the lab, diamonds also require extremely high temperatures — well beyond the heat computer chips can withstand as they are being manufactured — so they cannot easily be integrated into chipmaking processes. Reducing heat, meanwhile, sacrifices the diamond quality.
Solving a diamond-related mystery
In a study published Sept. 13 in the journal Diamond and Related Materials, scientists found a way to reduce the heat needed to grow diamonds enough so they can now be incorporated into the standard silicon manufacturing process. The breakthrough means faster and more energy-efficient diamond-based computer chips are a much more realistic proposition.

“If we want to implement diamond into silicon-based manufacturing, then we need to find a method of lower-temperature diamond growth,” study lead author Yuri Barsukov, a computational research associate at Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL), said in a statement. “This could open a door for the silicon microelectronics industry.”
Related: New diamond transistor is a world-1st — paving the way for high-speed computing at the highest temperatures
Diamonds are normally made in a process called “plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition,” in which thin films of acetylene in a gaseous state are deposited in a solid state onto a substrate.
Previous experiments showed that acetylene can contribute to diamond growth — but it also leads to soot growth, which forms on top of the diamond and inhibits its utility in chips, sensors and optics, the team said. Scientists previously did not understand the factors that caused acetylene to become either soot or diamond.

“Now we have an answer,” Barsukov said in the statement. “Like water to ice, there is a critical temperature for the transition of one phase to another. Above this critical temperature, acetylene contributes mostly to diamond growth. Below this critical temperature, it contributes mostly to soot growth.”
The “critical temperature” depends on the concentration of acetylene and the presence of atomic hydrogen near the diamond’s surface, the scientists discovered. Hydrogen atoms don’t directly fuel diamond growth, but they are crucial for promoting diamond growth — even at much lower temperatures.
Protecting the quantum diamond
But this forms only one part of the equation. The way atoms bond in diamond makes it well suited for quantum computing, secure communications and highly accurate sensing. So a study published July 11 in the journal Advanced Materials Interfaces examined how to further prime diamonds for use in complex electronics. It centers around “quantum diamond” surfaces, in which carbon atoms are removed and a neighboring atom is replaced with nitrogen — creating something the scientists call “nitrogen-vacancy centers.” The surface of these complex diamonds must be protected while keeping the nitrogen-vacancy centers intact, the scientists said in the study.
“The electrons in this material don’t behave according to the laws of classical physics as heavier particles do,” Alastair Stacey, head of quantum materials and devices at PPPL, said in the statement. “Instead, like all electrons, they behave according to the laws of quantum physics. But we can harness these quantum mechanical properties by making qubits, he added. Qubits are in quantum computing to what bits are in conventional computing and allow calculations to be processed in parallel.
“The advantage of qubits is that they can hold much more information than regular bits can,” Stacey said. “This means that they can also give us much more information about their environment, making them extremely valuable as sensors, for example.”
The scientists aimed to create a single layer of hydrogen on the surface of the quantum diamond, evenly distributed, without changing anything beneath the surface. In the July study, they explored techniques for adding that single layer onto the surface of the diamond in a more reliable way, without causing any damage.

The hydrogen layer is normally added by exposing the diamond to hydrogen plasma under high heat — but the nitrogen-vacancy centers cannot handle these conditions. Instead, the scientists proposed two alternate methods: “forming gas annealing” and “cold plasma termination.” The former technique uses a mixture of hydrogen molecules and nitrogen gas, while the latter uses hydrogen plasma but avoids directly heating the diamond with the plasma.
Both techniques created hydrogenated diamond that could conduct electricity. Neither method was perfect, but both were much better than the conventional method in avoiding damage to the nitrogen-vacancy centers, the researchers said in the study. They added that their next steps are exploring new methods of creating high-quality hydrogenated diamond surfaces with ideal nitrogen-vacancy centers.

Rare Footage Of Alleged Black Ops Snipers Surfaces, Is Insanely Impress: WATCH

An incredible video allegedly showing a pair of Delta Force snipers has resurfaced, and is going viral.
Delta Force has the most lethal and best-trained snipers on the planet, and, in all fairness, it’s not even close.
The things a Unit sniper is capable of doing would blow the minds of the average civilian. Whether it’s long-distance shots, or closing the distance at short range, you want no part of those guys.
Footage of alleged Delta Force snipers resurfaces.
Well, it appears some footage from around five years ago has resurfaced, and is definitely worth checking out.
The popular military YouTube channel 403_archive shared a video allegedly showing a pair of CAG snipers competing in the USASOC Sniper Competition back in 2019.
While it’s impossible to prove the identity of the men (the identity of men serving in The Unit is a very sensitive secret the government goes to great lengths to protect), there are some indications from the gear and equipment that the two men are CAG shooters. I won’t say much more past that. It could also be two men from SF, but that seems less likely.
Give the video a watch below, and let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com. It’s absurdly impressive.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0Yj_Ok-OiQ&embeds_referring_euri=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.outkick.com%2Fhttps://
Did you notice something about that video? The two men – under NODs – didn’t appear to miss a single shot. Not once, and they were shooting in the dark under night vision.
Imagine you’re a bad guy coming through an area, and a guy 1,000 yards away just deletes you from the Earth when it’s pitch black out.
You think you’re a good shooter? You might be, but Delta shooters are wizards.
Be grateful guys like this exist, and be grateful they’re on our side. Let me know what you think at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.

Chief Supreme Court Justice Warns Politicians About Ignoring the Courts

Chief Supreme Court Justice Warns Politicians About Ignoring the Courts, iStock-697763642
Chief Supreme Court Justice Roberts has warned politicians about ignoring the courts. He should pass the message to government agencies as well. iStock-697763642
Chief Supreme Court Justice John Roberts sent a warning message about politicians disregarding federal court rulings. There are plenty of examples of rampant disregard of federal court rulings by the states, especially when it comes to guns.
“Within the past few years, however, elected officials from across the political spectrum have raised the specter of open disregard for federal court rulings,” Roberts said. “These dangerous suggestions, however sporadic, must be soundly rejected. Judicial independence is worth preserving. As my late colleague Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg wrote, an independent judiciary is ‘essential to the rule of law in any land,’ yet it ‘is vulnerable to assault; it can be shattered if the society law exists to serve does not take care to assure its preservation.’”
One example of states ignoring Supreme Court rulings is the New York State Concealed Carry Improvement Act (CCIA). The CCIA was a response by the Empire State to the Supreme Court’s Bruen decision. New York State lost its battle over concealed carry permits in 2022, making the state “shall issue.” Shortly after the decision, it passed the CCIA, which curtailed the rights of the people to bear arms outside the home.
According to New York State Governor Kathy Hochul, the law was a response to the Supreme Court’s “dangerous” decision in Bruen. The state was effectively thumbing its nose at SCOTUS. The CCIA set off a set of legal challenges which have seen various levels of success. One thing is clear: New York State doesn’t care about the Bruen ruling and will do everything possible to subvert it.
New York State isn’t the only state with a rampant disregard for the Bruen decision. Bruen also knocked down intermediate scrutiny, reaching far beyond just concealed carry. It touched every facet of gun laws in the country. States could only rely on text, tradition, and history of firearms regulations from the founding era to prove a gun law was constitutional. It could no longer use things like “public safety” to justify its anti-gun regulations. It put the Second Amendment on an equal playing field as other amendments. Yet states have still tried to use the old standard.
Associate Justice Clarence Thomas said, “The Second Amendment is not a second-class right.”
Yet, it isn’t only Bruen that is ignored states. The Heller decision is one of the most disregarded SCOTUS decisions in the history of the courts. Many states have tried to ban guns that are in common use. The Supreme Court said that firearms in common use cannot be banned. Yet, many states have attempted to ban AR-15s, the most common rifle in America. These laws have been challenged in court as well.
Government agencies have also ignored the courts. In Cargill, SCOTUS ruled that the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) could not change the definition of a machine gun to shoehorn bump stocks into that definition. Even though the Supreme Court rebuked the Bureau, it once again tried a similar tactic to ban forced reset triggers using the same arguments in the bump stock case.
What should be slam dunk cases are not because, like anti-gun states and agencies that ignore SCOTUS rulings, some lower courts also have ignored Supreme Court rulings. In a challenge to the Protect Illinois Communities Act (PICA), a three-judge panel from the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals stayed an injunction issued by a District Court judge. The judge ruled that the PICA violated the United States Constitution by banning so-called “assault weapons.” The Circuit Court disagreed, even though no historical analogues from the founding era show the government has the power to ban AR-15s.
The Seventh Circuit isn’t the only appeals court that ignores the Supreme Court. In a challenge to the Maryland “assault weapons” ban, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the Second Amendment does not protect AR-15s. Once again, no historical analogues from the founding era were cited. The court seemed to have used interest balancing in their decision, even though Bruen specifically said the court could not use interest balancing to uphold a gun law. These decisions violated both Heller and Bruen.
It just isn’t guns that courts have gone after. A California judge ruled that switchblades could be banned because they are dangerous. Heller said that “dangerous and unusual” weapons could be subject to a ban. This judge changed “dangerous and unusual” to “dangerous or unusual,” fundamentally changing Heller’s meaning. Using the judge’s reasoning, the states could ban anything they want by just claiming an item is “dangerous.”
Until the SCOTUS deals with these cases and overturns the lower court’s decisions, the lower courts and the states will continue to ignore the Supreme Court’s decision.

Americans Can Handle the Truth..and Weapons

A recurring theme of modern culture is the idea that ordinary people cannot “handle” the truth. It is a way to say that ordinary people cannot be trusted to know what the government knows. It is an excuse and justification for the government to keep secrets from the American people. The supposed stupidity and cupidity of most people is a key part of Progressive ideology.
A ubiquitous theme promoted by Progressives is the necessity of controlling “public opinion” and “manufacturing consent”. This is in direct opposition to Christian ideology, as common in colonial America. The founding ideology of the United States of America is natural law supported by Judeo-Christian ethics. Natural law is based largely on the ability of individuals to understand what is in their own interests, and to act on those interests.
The Second Amendment is based on the idea that people can know their own interests. People can band together to promote their own interests. Society is better if everyone is armed to protect their own, and societies, interest in mutual defense, property rights, and the rule of law.
The worship of the truth is a key part of Christianity. In the Bible, Jesus says, “I am the truth.” Jesus says the revelation of the truth will set his followers free. The pursuit of the truth flowered during a combination of the Reformation and Renaissance when the printing press and paper created an explosive revolution of knowledge as important as the invention of writing.
The pursuit of the truth led to the scientific method and the Industrial Revolution. Islam floundered on a denial of objective truth, because the dominant theology in Islam came to be an insistence that Allah could and would change reality at will. The past, the present, every bit of existence at any instant, is subject to change at any moment in Islam. Thus no search for objective reality or for physical laws would or could be fruitful.
Progressivism echos this fluidity in its understanding of the universe by its insistence that nothing is permanent or knowable (except to “Experts”). Everything is changing all the time. Only skilled and dedicated Progressive “experts” can understand what is happening. Governments have to be able to change all the time and instantly, to cope with a changing reality. Therefore, what the mass of the people know and think has to be constantly managed to prevent them from doing stupid things and doing things against their “own interests.”
Stupid things are defined to include throwing Progressives out of power.
How often have you read of Progressives (leftists) saying a certain group voted against their own interests? This is a shortcut version of the above. Progressives assume they know everyone’s interests better than the people themselves do. Marxist theory does the same. Marxists claim people who disagree with them to have “false consciousness”. The consciousness Marxists consider to be true is that which validates their assumptions about reality. Woke theory is a variant. White people are defined as racist, whether they know it or not. No one who is not Woke can define what a woman is.
In contrast, the American Founders trusted the people, on average, over time, to know their own interests. They also knew different people’s interests and different groups interests, often conflict. The checks and balances of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights were put in place to keep any one interest group, especially the interest of people in political power, whether State or Federal, from promoting their interest ahead of all others.
The First Amendment is based on the theory a vigorous debate is the best way to determine the truth. The Scientific Method is based on anyone being able to challenge scientific findings by duplicating experiments to see if the same result is obtained. “Scientists” who refuse to reveal their data invalidate their own results.
If you cannot see the data sources, you cannot duplicate the results.
If a person “can’t handle the truth,” they should not be trusted to handle firearms responsibly. Progressive ideology has gun control in its DNA.
You can handle the truth. You can handle weapons. The truth shall set you free.
The flip side: Lies enslave you, and liars lie to you to keep you enslaved.
When someone tells you the public cannot handle the truth, they are advocating for unlimited governmental power.

Russia –-(Ammoland.com)- These days, there are few few things to admire about the socialist, bankrupt and culturally degenerating USA, but at least so far, one thing remains: the right to bare arms and use deadly force to defend one’s self and possessions.
This will probably come as a total shock to most of my Western readers, but at one point, Russia was one of the most heavily armed societies on earth. This was, of course, when we were free under the Tsar. Weapons, from swords and spears to pistols, rifles and shotguns were everywhere, common items. People carried them concealed, they carried them holstered. Fighting knives were a prominent part of many traditional attires and those little tubes criss crossing on the costumes of Cossacks and various Caucasian peoples? Well those are bullet holders for rifles.
Various armies, such as the Poles, during the ????? (Times of Troubles), or Napoleon, or the Germans even as the Tsarist state collapsed under the weight of WW1 and Wall Street monies, found that holding Russian lands was much much harder than taking them and taking was no easy walk in the park but a blood bath all its own. In holding, one faced an extremely well armed and aggressive population Hell bent on exterminating or driving out the aggressor.
This well armed population was what allowed the various White factions to rise up, no matter how disorganized politically and militarily they were in 1918 and wage a savage civil war against the Reds. It should be noted that many of these armies were armed peasants, villagers, farmers and merchants, protecting their own. If it had not been for Washington’s clandestine support of and for the Reds, history would have gone quite differently.
Moscow fell, for example, not from a lack of weapons to defend it, but from the lieing guile of the Reds. Ten thousand Reds took Moscow and were opposed only by some few hundreds of officer cadets and their instructors. Even then the battle was fierce and losses high. However, in the city alone, at that time, lived over 30,000 military officers (both active and retired), all with their own issued weapons and ammunition, plus tens of thousands of other citizens who were armed. The Soviets promised to leave them all alone if they did not intervene.
They did not and for that were asked afterwards to come register themselves and their weapons: where they were promptly shot.
Of course being savages, murderers and liars does not mean being stupid and the Reds learned from their Civil War experience. One of the first things they did was to disarm the population. From that point, mass repression, mass arrests, mass deportations, mass murder, mass starvation were all a safe game for the powers that were. The worst they had to fear was a pitchfork in the guts or a knife in the back or the occasional hunting rifle. Not much for soldiers.
Armed Russian Cossacks
Armed Russian Cossacks
To this day, with the Soviet Union now dead 21 years, with a whole generation born and raised to adulthood without the SU, we are still denied our basic and traditional rights to self defense. Why? We are told that everyone would just start shooting each other and crime would be everywhere….but criminals are still armed and still murdering and to often, especially in the far regions, those criminals wear the uniforms of the police. The fact that everyone would start shooting is also laughable when statistics are examined.
While President Putin pushes through reforms, the local authorities, especially in our vast hinterland, do not feel they need to act like they work for the people. They do as they please, a tyrannical class who knows they have absolutely nothing to fear from a relatively unarmed population. This in turn breeds not respect but absolute contempt and often enough, criminal abuse.
For those of us fighting for our traditional rights, the USA’s “2nd Amendment” is a rare light in an ever darkening room. Governments will use the excuse of trying to protect the people from maniacs and crime, but are in reality, it is the bureaucrats protecting their power and position. In all cases where guns are banned, gun crime continues and often increases. As for maniacs, be it nuts with cars (NYC, Chapel Hill NC), swords (Japan), knives (China) or home made bombs (everywhere), insane people strike. They throw acid (Pakistan, UK), they throw fire bombs (France), they attack. What is worse, is, that the best way to stop a maniac is not psychology or jail or “talking to them”, it is a bullet in the head, that is why they are a maniac, because they are incapable of living in reality or stopping themselves.
The excuse that people will start shooting each other is also plain and silly. So it is our politicians saying that our society is full of incapable adolescents who can never be trusted? Then, please explain how we can trust them or the police, who themselves grew up and came from the same culture?
No it is about power and a total power over the people. There is a lot of desire to bad mouth the Tsar, particularly by the Communists, who claim he was a tyrant, and yet under him we were armed and under the progressives disarmed.
Do not be fooled by a belief that progressives, leftists hate guns. Oh, no, they do not. What they hate is guns in the hands of those who are not marching in lock step of their ideology. They hate guns in the hands of those who think for themselves and do not obey without question. They hate guns in those whom they have slated for a barrel to the back of the ear.
So, Americans listen up, do not fall for the false promises and do not extinguish the light that is left to allow humanity a measure of self respect.

The civil war lasted 2 years 1918 to 1920. It was in 1920 that Britain wrote its first gun control law, supposedly in fear of a communist revolution. In around 60 years they went from no gun control laws to the outlawing of almost all guns.
Here in the States our first national gun control laws was written and enacted in 1934, we slowly lost ground up to 1986 but since then the tide has turned and we are slowly recovering our Second Amendment rights. Remember once the precedent is set that you can change the Constitution through interpenetrating it all of our rights are at risk. That is why the current Court is reversing the decisions that rewrote sections and wrote new rights into the Constitution. If the Constitution isn’t engraved in stone we have no permanent rights.
An Interesting Answer to Unconstitutional Laws

When the Supreme Court makes a ruling, it’s supposed to be listened to. I get that some people are bound and determined to try and push the boundaries of any ruling by the Court, but you’re not supposed to flagrantly flaunt that ruling.
The Bruen decision, for example, should have put a whole lot of gun control laws to bed, but perhaps more importantly, it should have put an end to a lot of gun control proposals before the start.
Take proposals in Pennsylvania and Florida that would ban so-called ghost guns, among other things.
Over at The Truth About Guns, Darwin Nercesian has an interesting proposal for how to deal with the people who pull this crap.
Until they face legal consequences, the contemptuous left has made it clear that they will continue to spend tax dollars legislating in defiance of the judiciary, particularly the United States Supreme Court. While “contemptuous” could be aptly described here as full of scorn or disdain, I am referring to contempt of court, legal terminology that describes the act of disobedience or disrespect towards the judicial branch in opposition or defiance of its authority.
You might be asking, can a lawmaker be held in contempt? The answer is absolutely. The Supreme Court has repeatedly held that the Judiciary Act of 1789 authorizes federal courts to punish contempt by fine or imprisonment. At some point, the Supreme Court should decide if it is merely a symbolic relic of days past or if its rulings have any teeth backed by authority. An example of the contempt I am speaking of is the constant legislation and re-legislation of anti-Second Amendment bills which ignore previous judicial instruction.
Rep. Melissa Shusterman of Pennsylvania recently set her sights on “ghost guns,” intending to introduce a bill regulating them out of existence in 2025. Shusterman seeks to implement requirements that 3D-printed firearms be restricted to production by those with a federal manufacturing license, thus removing the long-standing tradition of Americans making firearms at home for private use.
Nercesian also notes that Florida Rep. Christine Hunschofsky has a proposal that doesn’t just ban “ghost guns” but also pushes through a universal background check law.
Of course, the Florida bill is especially unlikely to happen, but the Pennsylvania one isn’t overly likely to pass either.
Regardless, those measures are of interest but aren’t what I think is the big takeaway here, and that is lawmakers who blatantly ignore rulings like Bruen being held in contempt.
I’ve always argued that contempt of Congress isn’t so much a crime as a civic duty, but contempt of the Supreme Court’s rulings on our basic civil liberties is a different matter entirely.
The Bruen decision was clear-cut. You need to have a parallel to the time of the nation’s founding if you want a gun control law to be considered constitutional. So-called ghost gun bans have no such parallel. Neither do universal background checks, but bans on homemade firearms blatantly fly in the face of the Founders’ intents. This was something that people did back then. If they’d had an issue with it, they could have legislated against it. They did no such thing, so their feelings on the matter are pretty obvious.
Yet lawmakers keep trying to ignore the Supreme Court’s rulings.
It would be nice to see the Court start handing down fines and penalties for lawmakers who ignore their rulings. Especially if those fines actually hurt the lawmakers financially. I think you’d see them at least pretend to try and work within the Court’s rulings for a change.
https://bearingarms.com/tomknighton/2025/01/06/an-interesting-answer-to-unconstitutional-laws-n1227287
(Richard: This will require a DOJ that will enforce the Court Rulings.)
Having thought more on the subject I am not sure this is a viable idea, Contempt of Court is suppose to happen during the Court session not by people ignoring the rulings. It will be interesting to see if this idea has legs.
New Details Emerge in Christmas Eve Defensive Shooting at Tennessee Walmart

Newly released details about the Christmas Eve shooting at a Clarksville, Tennessee, Walmart and reported on TTAG reveal the armed citizen who shot a man dangerously wielding a handgun in the store following an altercation acted in defense of his family. According to Clarksville Now, 19-year-old suspect, Labron Gibson, pulled out a gun and held it to a woman’s head, injuring her eye, and threatening to kill her, her husband and their two young children, ages 4 and 2.
The terrifying incident unfolded in the grocery section of the Walmart on Fort Campbell Boulevard, where witnesses heard three gunshots followed by panic as shoppers fled through emergency exits. Security footage showed Gibson waving a firearm and making threats before the woman’s husband drew his own handgun and fired several rounds, striking Gibson multiple times.
Gibson, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries, fled the scene and drove himself to a local healthcare facility before being transferred to Nashville for further treatment. Police later recovered Gibson’s firearm from his vehicle and charged him with four counts of aggravated assault.

This wasn’t Gibson’s first run-in with the law. In 2022, at age 17, he was involved in a carjacking after escaping from a Department of Children’s Services transport van.
The Clarksville Police Department has reaffirmed that the armed citizen’s actions were a justified response to an immediate and violent threat. The incident underscores the importance of responsible concealed carry and the critical role it can play in protecting innocent lives when seconds count.
