A bespectacled 71-year-old woman who was on her way to church on New Year’s Day was violently attacked by 4 teen girls on a New York City subway.
Linda Rosa told The New York Post that as soon as she went through the turnstile, one of the suspects grabbed her purse – but she wasn’t having any of it and fought back.
Rosa said her glasses went flying after the teens punched her in the face as they tried to mug her.
According to The New York Post, Rosa grabbed one of the teen’s braids and pulled her down. As another teen approached her, the victim grabbed onto her hair and pulled her down as well.
“I got an impression in me that she was going to stomp me again, but she was going to aim towards my head,” Linda Rosa told The Post. “So I got up right away, and with that, I grabbed her braids and twirled them around my right hand, and then I pulled her down. She had her head down. Then the other young lady said, ‘Let her go.’ And I said, ‘Oh, no, I’m not letting her go.’”
The shocked teens eventually ran off as the elderly victim called out for help.
Rosa was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The four suspects are still at large.

A plucky elderly woman on her way to a New Year’s Day church service fought back when a violent group of teen girls pummeled her during a botched robbery inside a Brooklyn subway station, cops said.
Linda Rosa, 71 – a retired MTA computer operation worker who lives in East New York – got off a No. 3 train at Hoyt Street just after 6 p.m. and had just passed through the turnstile when one of the four girls tried to grab her purse, she told The Post Friday.
“And then I [said to myself], ‘Oh, no, this is not going to happen today,’” Rosa said.
“The first person kept fighting,” Rosa said. “She punched me in my face and I have my glasses on, and I have a cut on my nose. When she punched me in my face, my glasses flew to the floor.”
“Meanwhile the other young lady was still trying to distract me to get my pocketbook or go into my purse, to snatch something out of my purse,” she recalled.
The teen ended up grabbing a pocket pouch that held Rosa’s ID and medical records, she said.
“I was still wrestling with the first person,” Rosa said. “Then I was trying to kick her in between her legs, but my leg wouldn’t stretch far enough, so I believe that’s when I fell. I fell, and then she stomped on me.”
Rosa said she sensed that the hostile teens weren’t done yet, so she took action.

A man from Liberia has been arrested in Massachusetts after violently body-slamming a young mother during a shocking road rage incident captured on video by a witness.
The attacker, Gladior Kwesiah, 26, and the victim, Hailea Soares, were in a minor car accident shortly before 9 a.m. in Attleboro on Friday morning.
In the video, Kwesiah approached her vehicle and began banging on the roof before violently yanking the petite mother of two out of her car.
The witness said they heard Soares shout for him to leave him alone before he picked her up and body-slammed her.
“By the time that I realized I was in the air, and I thought to myself, ‘I might die right now,’” Soares told ABC 7.
“The only thing that I could think of was I knew I was in the air and by the time I was realizing I was in the air and I thought to myself, like, I might die right now, I had already hit the ground. And I didn’t realize that I had hit the ground,” Soares said. “It was like a weird sensation I felt on my face and that’s when I realized I was on the ground and I rolled over and there was blood dripping all over my hands.”
According to a report from CBS, police arrived and found Soares with a broken knee, broken foot, an injury to her eye socket and a serious injury to her skull.
“I called my friend, and I started crying and I said I can’t feel my knees, I can’t feel my knees,” Soares told CBS. “I needed her to go get my kids, so she had to go pick up my children and all I could think was I’m probably never going to be able to walk again.”
Soares has a one-year-old and an eight-year-old.
“I don’t know if he was having a bad day, I don’t know what that was, but if that’s the type of person he is, then I don’t think he belongs in society with the rest of us,” Soares said.
A Facebook page belonging to Kewsiah says he is from Monrovia, Liberia, and studied at American International College.
Kewsiah has been charged with assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury, vandalizing property and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
The violent attacker’s bail has been set at just $2,500, along with an order that he has no contact with Soares.

“We must put an end to the garbage of socialism once and for all,” declared Argentine President Javier Milei during his speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference.
Milei used the occasion to celebrate Donald Trump’s election victory and hailed what he described as the “new winds of freedom.”
In his remarks, Trump described socialism as “one of the most serious challenges” facing the world today. He also pledged, “I will never let socialism destroy America.”
Milei and Trump share a strong opposition to socialism, a sentiment echoed by Allison Huynh, a highly successful Silicon Valley entrepreneur who fled communist Vietnam.
“Communism isn’t sustainable, and the will of the people is not for socialism or communism,” Huynh said. “It was a theory put out by Karl Marx, and over more than a hundred years, it has proven to be a failed strategy.”
History supports this view. During the Cold War, communist regimes maintained their grip on power through authoritarian rule, close alignment with the military, and severe restrictions on rights and freedoms.
These governments feared that access to information or free elections would lead people to choose representative democracy and a capitalist system, where individuals could retain the fruits of their labor.
Notably, after the Cold War ended, none of the former Soviet bloc countries, including Russia, remained communist, further underscoring the unsustainable nature of such systems.
In an interview, Javier Milei detailed why he despises socialism/communism, drawing on his expertise as a trained economist.
Milei holds a PhD and is a member of the Austrian school of economics, the same tradition in which this article’s author was educated through the Mises Institute.
Austrian economics, founded by Carl Menger in the late 19th century, focuses on individual choice, subjective value, and the efficiency of markets in resource allocation. Ludwig von Mises later brought these ideas to the United States, shaping their influence on modern libertarian and free-market thought.
Austrian economists advocate for limited government, individual liberty, and free markets, warning against the dangers of centralized economic planning and emphasizing the importance of private property rights.
These principles strongly overlap with American conservative values, particularly in their shared focus on personal responsibility, economic freedom, and skepticism toward government intervention.
Milei highlighted the primary reasons why communism and socialism fail, echoing arguments Ludwig von Mises made a century ago. Austrian economists explain that these systems lack the critical information needed to allocate resources efficiently.
In a free market, prices communicate essential data about supply, demand, and value, guiding decisions. When people choose not to buy something, they signal that the product isn’t worth its current price, prompting companies to adjust.
If a company can’t lower the price, it stops producing the product, avoiding wasted resources. To stay profitable, businesses are driven to create higher-quality, lower-cost products that people actually want.
Markets are dynamic, driven by a constant flow of information between buyers and sellers that fosters daily efficiency and innovation. By contrast, no government-run “Ministry of Pricing” could ever determine the right prices, quantities, or types of products to produce, leading to inevitable waste and mismanagement.
Socialism fails because it cannot gather or process the vast amount of information needed to manage society effectively.

In a free market, pricing information flows naturally from every transaction, allowing consumers to signal their preferences to sellers at no cost. Companies can immediately decide how to adjust their products or prices without waiting for a government task force or bureaucracy to intervene.
This process happens in real-time. A seller might lower prices, throw in a discount card, change the color, install a cup holder, or add extra incentives to attract buyers, constantly adapting to consumer needs.
By contrast, a government would require significant time and manpower to gather data, write reports, and implement laws. Even then, their recommendations might be outdated by the time they are enacted, leaving them perpetually behind in responding to what people actually want and need.
The final reason socialism fails is that it is unnatural. Even without formal education, a person instinctively knows to trade a fish for two coconuts rather than one—or to hold out for a pineapple if they don’t like coconuts.
This natural decision-making is rooted in individual choice and value, which socialism suppresses. In communist countries, strict laws criminalize capitalism, profit-making, and selling goods or labor at higher prices, with violators often facing imprisonment.
In contrast, capitalist systems allow individuals the freedom to sell their goods or labor at any price—even at a loss—without legal repercussions, because it’s their choice.
Socialism, however, demands not only draconian enforcement but also the elimination of choice. Without the profit motive, producers have no incentive to improve products, make them efficiently, or even determine what people truly want.
This leads to inevitable surpluses of unwanted goods and shortages of necessities. Over time, socialism breeds chaos, poverty, scarcity, and, often, violence, as it stifles the natural forces that drive innovation and prosperity.

Honduran President Xiomara Castro has threatened to terminate military cooperation with the United States if President-elect Donald Trump proceeds with his plan for mass deportations of illegal immigrants, including those from Honduras.
This ultimatum underscores the glaring hypocrisy of a leader who has failed to address the root causes driving her own citizens to flee her country in the first place.
A primary objective of Trump’s mass deportation plan is to remove individuals with criminal records who are residing in the country illegally.
By focusing on these individuals, Trump’s administration aims to reduce crime rates and enhance public safety.
Tom Homan, designated as Trump’s “border czar,” has emphasized that the deportation efforts will prioritize those posing threats to public safety and national security.
However, Castro is far from pleased with this development.
“Faced with a hostile attitude of mass expulsion of our brothers, we would have to consider a change in our policies of cooperation with the United States, especially in the military arena, where, without paying a cent for decades, they maintain military bases in our territory, which in this case would lose all reason to exist in Honduras,” Xiomara Castro said in a statement on New Year’s Day.
“We hope that the new U.S. administration of democratically elected President Donald Trump will be open to dialogue, constructive and friendly, and will not take unnecessary reprisals against our migrants, who normally make a great contribution to the U.S. economy,” she added.

The United States maintains a military presence in Honduras primarily through Soto Cano Air Base, also known as Palmerola Air Base, according to AP.
This base is a Honduran military installation that hosts U.S. military personnel as part of Joint Task Force-Bravo (JTF-Bravo), a component of the U.S. Southern Command.

Ahmad Jamal Khamees Alhendi, a Jordanian national, has been identified as the suspect responsible for the hours-long shutdown of Interstate 85 near Greenville, South Carolina.
The chaos unfolded after Alhendi allegedly issued a bomb threat during a routine traffic stop on Thursday, prompting a massive law enforcement response involving SWAT teams, bomb squads, and federal agencies.
The South Carolina Department of Transportation reported severe backups near Exit 44 at White Horse Road as authorities scrambled to address the threat.
Greenville County deputies, along with the State Law Enforcement Division (SLED) bomb squad and the FBI, were deployed to neutralize the potential danger. Governor Henry McMaster confirmed that the shutdown was a precautionary measure taken “out of an abundance of caution.”
“I-85 near mile marker 44 is temporarily closed out of an abundance of caution due to a bomb threat issued during a routine traffic stop this afternoon by SC Transport Police,” Governor McMaster said.
“SCDOT and state law enforcement are on the scene, and normal I-85 traffic will resume once the tractor trailer is swept and cleared by SELD’s bomb squad.”

Alhendi, 28, was arrested and charged with multiple offenses, including breach of peace of a high and aggravated nature, conveying false information about a bomb threat, and operating a vehicle without a valid license. His bond was set at $20,238 cash, according to WYFF4.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has placed a detainer on Alhendi, identifying him as a Jordanian national who entered the United States legally in 2018 but subsequently violated the terms of his admission.
He now faces deportation proceedings, with a hearing scheduled for August 2026.

Search for Missing Surfer: “Lance’s Body’s Inside the Shark”

The surfer involved in Thursday’s great white shark attack in South Australia has been identified as 28-year-old Lance Appleby, a resident of the area, and member of a respected local surfing family.
On Thursday evening, Appleby was surfing Granites Beach, southwest of Streaky Bay on South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula when witnesses saw him attacked by a shark. Following the attack, authorities issued a search for Appleby from land, air, and sea. As of Friday, they have yet to find him.
Hours prior to the attack, local fisherman and friend of the Appleby family, Jeff Schmucker, spotted a great white shark at the very same spot, and issued this warning via social media: “Heads up to all the surfers at Granites today. There is a large, aggressive great white very close to Granites/Indicators.”
And after the attack, amidst the search for Appleby, Schmucker told the Australian Associated Press there was “no point looking for anything out there. Lance’s body’s inside the shark and the shark’s probably not very far away. If they want to do something about it, they should do it now. Fisheries have the power to give a destruction order, but the government doesn’t have the balls.”
Great white sharks are a protected species in South Australia with a penalty up to $20,000.

Back in October of 2023, another surfer was attacked and killed while surfing Granites Beach. Tod Gendle, 55, was identified of the victim of a 13-foot great white attack. In that instance, only Gendle’s surfboard and a portion of his wetsuit were recovered by search and rescue crews.
As for Appleby, he was a carpenter, surfer, and footballer. Schmukcker added that he was “a good, sporty kid from a big family, and had a big heart…definitely cherished by all his mates.”

When Will They Get the Message With 3D-Printed Guns

I’m not exactly a tech bro by any stretch of the imagination. I love seeing new technology and all the ways it can make our lives better, but I generally don’t get overly excited by new technology. I’ve seen too many things hyped up as the next big then only to fizzle on the vine. Please tell me I’m not the only one who remembers Google Glass, just to name one example.

But 3D printing is one technology that I’m genuinely excited about. The idea of just printing whatever it is that you need or want is amazing to me.
And that was before we could start printing guns.
Now that we can, the landscape has changed entirely. The idea of preventing people from getting guns is even more ridiculous. Now, with something you can get for a few hundred dollars on Amazon, anyone can make a firearm for themselves regardless of the laws on the books.
And yes, people are doing that, and not just here.
Police investigating the shooting of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson on Dec. 4, 2024, have announced that the suspected assailant had used a 3D-printed gun. Several high-profile crimes in recent years have involved this kind of homemade, or partially homemade, weapon.
Often called “ghost guns” because they can be hard to trace, these firearms can be either partially or completely made with components that have been produced in metal or plastic on commercially available 3D printers. The U.S. Supreme Court is considering the legality of current federal restrictions on these firearms.
The first known criminal case involving a 3D-printed gun resulted in the arrest of a U.K. man in 2013. But since then, police worldwide have reported finding increasing numbers of these weapons.
My research focuses on the economic and social effects of advanced digital technologies, including 3D printing. I see that the use of 3D-printed guns in criminal and violent activities is likely to continue to increase. And it will likely prove ever harder for governments and police to regulate these firearms.
Surge in arrests and seizures
Arrests and seizures connected to 3D-printed guns are escalating quickly. Between 2017 and 2021, U.S. law enforcement agencies seized and reported nearly 38,000 suspected ghost guns, according to a 2024 report from the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. In 2021 alone, 19,273 suspected ghost guns were traced, a significant increase from 8,504 in 2020. The number of seized 3D-printed guns in New York state alone surged dramatically, from 100 in 2019 to 637 in 2022.

Now, the numbers are what they are.
However, it should be remembered that these only account for a small percentage of the total number of firearms recovered by police as it stands.
Further, what always gets missed in these discussions is any evidence that those in possession of these 3D-printed firearms couldn’t get a firearm through any other means. In fact, often, these guns are recovered with more traditionally manufactured weapons, which still account for most of the guns in criminal hands.
Yet let’s also come to recognize something very important about these guns.
Even though they’re still not the predominant way criminals get guns, they do mark something important. That something is the end of gun control as being remotely viable as a means to keep people disarmed.
Gun control never worked, but if it didn’t work when people were beholden to the traditional market, how is it ever going to work if they can just make up their own guns?
“We need to ban people making their own guns!” someone will quip.
However, let’s be real. A number of states have done just that and it hasn’t stopped anything. As it is, people can buy gun parts easily enough, but now there are designs that don’t use any traditional parts, just stuff you can get from Home Depot.
Gun control is never going to keep anyone disarmed, so the message here is to stop trying.

Joe Biden spit in the face of every American on Saturday as he awarded Hillary Clinton and George Soros the Presidential Medal of Freedom – the nation’s highest civilian honor.
Other undeserving recipients include Bill Nye the [Communist] science guy, Denzel Washington, Anna Wintour and Chef Jose Andres, the man who was photographed with would-be Trump assassin Ryan Routh.
“José Andrés is a renowned Spanish-American culinary innovator who popularized tapas in the United States. His World Central Kitchen provides large-scale relief to communities affected by natural disasters and conflict around the world,” Biden said in a press release.

In September federal prosecutors charged Ryan Routh with attempted assassination of a major presidential candidate after he pushed the muzzle of his rifle through the fence line at Trump’s West Palm Beach golf course.
Ryan Routh was previously charged with two federal gun crimes: Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession (max penalty of 15 years in prison and $250,000 fine), and receipt of a firearm with an obliterated serial number (max penalty of 5 years in prison and a $250,000 fine).
Ryan Routh traveled near Trump’s West Palm Beach golf course and his Mar-a-Lago residence multiple times in the month leading up to his arrest.
Routh set up a sniper’s nest in the shrubbery outside the perimeter of Trump’s golf course in West Palm Beach.

In the area of the tree line from which Routh fled, agents found a Go-Pro, two backpacks, a loaded SKS-style, 7.62×39 caliber rifle with a scope, and a black plastic bag containing food.
One of the backpacks contained ceramic tiles police believe could have been used as a shield/body armor.
Ryan Routh pleaded not guilty to federal charges stemming from his attempted assassination against President Trump.

As I read the news about the tragic events of January first, I was amazed at the intensity of the online speculation that surrounds them.
The problem is that the information we are given is being managed very carefully – not to share the truth, but to shape the narrative for the speakers’ purposes, whether it’s an online or newspaper story, a White House press secretary, or a law enforcement official.
The website/newspaper wants excited readers so they can make money by selling advertising. If they have a particular bias, their story will push their narrative – “Orange Man bad,” or “Government is evil” to keep readers coming back for more.
The White House, when it can get its story straight, has other narratives; “Biden is brilliant,” “Trump is evil,” “We are doing a great job running (ruining?) the country.”
Law enforcement relies on their crisp uniforms and shiny badges to give an air of authority and competence. Each speaker wants to reassure the public that “we are in charge, everything is under control, and the public is safe.”
But the worst kind of statement is one that seeks to deceive the public and peddle a story that suits their own purposes. Is their goal to prepare us for more similar attacks, or scare us into accepting new legislation that expands the power of the government at the expense of our freedom?
As I was finalizing this article, I came across a fascinating piece by Mike McDaniel, that pointed out media patterns in reporting both January first attacks.
“Throughout the Harris/Biden Administration, several patterns have emerged when what could be terrorist attacks have occurred: (1) the perpetrator acted alone. (2) The perpetrator absolutely, positively wasn’t trans… (3) It absolutely, positively wasn’t terror-related. (4) We’ll never know a motive. (5) Whenever possible, their race, sexual preference, nationality, Islamic names and other affiliations are covered up or only partially and grudgingly admitted…
We certainly don’t know all the government’s secrets, but their desperation to protect violent trans, to deny terrorism and particularly foreign terrorism is happening within our borders, and to deny there are any terrorist cells, domestic or foreign operating in America is obvious.
Why would they go to such lengths to deny reality? Admitting everything they’ve said, done and plan to do about trans, all they’ve done to protect other favored victim groups, illegal immigration and everything related to Islamist terrorism would be profoundly embarrassing and could even provoke investigations for collaboration and outright treason.”

They did it four years ago and will do it again if they can. Under Biden/Obama we saw that all they really want to do is destroy America.
How often do we see public statements that are offered with fierce certainty, only to be completely disproven later? And what is the speaker’s reaction to being exposed as a complete liar? Usually they ignore the truth and simply move on to a bigger lie. Their purpose was to shape opinion and push a narrative, the truth is unimportant because their goal was achieved.
They are peddling false information to frighten the public and split us into warring factions. That’s how 5% of the population can control the other 95%. Keep them angry, confused, afraid and divided, so they can continue their massive corruption.
The good news is once you know they are lying you can read between the lines to discern a good part of the truth.
People from communist countries are used to media that is openly a propaganda arm of the state and when the announcer says “the rumors of a large explosion in Karendistan are not true, nor were 10,000 civilians killed in the blast,” they know exactly what happened. They are astounded by our gullibility.

So how do you separate the wheat from the chaff?
First, when we see a news report, even on a network like Fox News, ask “what aren’t they telling us?” and “what stories are they NOT covering?”
Second, understand who’s doing the talking and what narrative they are trying to push.
I have been very puzzled about the drone scare, and concluded later that passing a privacy-killing “anti-drone bill” might have been one of the goals. I was frustrated at all the wild speculation – are they aliens, Chinese, Iranian, or Al Quaeda? Were they U.S. drones being field-tested?
The speculation continues, often muddied with wild ideas that make no sense. It’s great for the news sites, but only stirs up panic, distrust and confusion.
It’s like we’ve been presented with a jigsaw puzzle with too few pieces, and unknown actors are constantly adding new pieces that weren’t even in the box.
Third, use basic logic and the process of elimination.
For example, saying the drones are a secret operation is ridiculous. If they were secret, they wouldn’t be flying at night with their red, green and white lights flashing like aerial Christmas trees.
Are they spraying poison or disease? Why would anyone use noisy, flashing drones for something that could easily be done by a truck driving through a neighborhood?
Are they searching for something? Again, why the bright lights? I’d search quietly to avoid attention.
Fourth, never assume these people have the best interests of the average citizen in mind. Whatever is going on is not good news, otherwise why would they lie about it? Our government is infested with Deep State actors who will use any tactic, no matter how evil or deadly, to maintain control.
I hate to sound like a “conspiracy theorist,” but how often do we uncover damning evidence only to find the conspiracy is true? Go no further than COVID that came from a Chinese “wet market” that could have the “spread” stopped in two weeks if we stayed home, to the idea of wearing masks and shutting down schools, to trying to force everyone in the country to take an experimental vaccine.
We only found out later that the masks didn’t work, the six-foot “safe distance” was a lie, and the vaccines were more deadly than the disease.
Was COVID a planned operation, or an accidental “crisis” that was used to gut election laws to permit the theft of the 2020 election? Or even more despicable – a plan to start depopulating our crowded planet?
But you don’t have to play along. Once you know what they’re up to you can stop the online negativity and bickering, use your common sense to have positive fact-finding, and unite against those who are trying to destroy your country.
Americans have woken up from the constant lies. We are demanding an end to corruption, a return to free expression, and honest elections.

The Russian Federation forces started the new year the same way they finished the old: advancing relentlessly in the region of Donetsk, the cradle of the war in the Ukraine.
After taking control of Kurakhovo on New Year’s Eve, they are now actively advancing in the direction of Pokrovsk.
Ukrainian sources confirm that Russia has captured Vozdvizhenka in the Pokrovsk, a mere 4 kilometers away from the Pokrovsk-Konstantinovka highway used for logistics and supplies.
The fighting never stops, not even for New Year’s Eve.

As it has become the rule, the Russians are encircling and isolating the city before attacking it.
The effort now is to bypass it from the south and cut off supply routes.
Reuters reported:
“The capture of the road and rail hub in the eastern Donetsk region could create serious difficulties for the Ukrainian army on the eastern front and also allow Russia to reinforce and advance its front line to the west.
‘The Pokrovsk direction remains the hottest and there the Russians attacked 34 times (in the past 24 hours) and tried to break through our defenses south of Pokrovsk’, Viktor Trehubov, spokesman for Ukraine’s Khortytsia group of forces, told Ukrainian national television.”

The city had a pre-war population of some 60,000 people, but only around 11,000 of them remain in the city.
“Trehubov said Russian forces were trying to block supply routes by sending small groups of soldiers to settlements south of Pokrovsk.
‘They (Russians) don’t go directly into the city because it means heavy urban fighting. So, they first try to bypass the city and interrupt the logistics chains’, Trehubov said.”
Kiev’s forces were using drones and precision weapons to try and prevent Russian attackers from reaching their targets.
