Marxism is Kapitalist accumulation (oligarchs). Kapitalism funds radical Communism as its weapon to take territory; this is war without weapons, culture war.
Recruiting mercenaries, and promising them loot, such as money, power above others, status, mating opportunities, or religious supremacy. It creates a parallel extractive economy of opportunites and ladders (raiders and clerics), and of marriage within the same church.
As a religion, univeralist communism creates an ummah, a supertribe, as religion itself is about tribe, an expression of our tribal instincts. Whatever god or God develops is the Face, the archetype, the alpha male flag around which the troupe organizes, with the body of people as the Body.
Slippery Communism simply took the God out to prevent that being a bone of contention, a nucleus for an alternate competitive elite to form, thus enabling an ummah. “Thou shalt have no idols” is the universalism of messianics, muslims, and postmodernists. Even so, these supremacists still demand that you bow to their tribe, rather than your own or to the gods of your fathers. This is why the disaffected are drawn to such movements: they are outcasts seeking opportunity in a new tribe. If you teach them to be outcasts, you have ready recruits.
Communism arose as the dark mirror alternate of the Enlightenment- the search to escape the religious Wars.
Communism, Islam, or Cartel is the knife, but the Bankster Hand holds the knife.
For instance, each Roman legion was owned and funded by a rich Patrician family- they were literally a private army. This is why the Hand is composed of Old Money families. An example of that would be the eight families that own the Federal Reserve, another would be the Black Nobility of Europe. American bankers funded the Russian Revolution, gaining millions of slaves to work the rich mines and timber of Siberia, which built a powerful army of political and territorial colonization.
That’s why Kapitalist accumulation is so dangerous without countervaling centers of power such as Throne and Altar. Communism’s ultimate vision is to overthrow the monarchs (they did) and the Churches, of any nation, West or East, and replace them with itself.

We never really understood Kamala before.
Well, shoot! I mentioned the difference between Marxism and Maoism, without mentioning that this is why Walz made trips to China.
Kamala / Walz are Maoists, thus the focus on DEI, when they don’t know jack about economics or business.
Yes the particular form of communism currently infecting the West now, and perhaps especially the US and Canada is a Maoist flavour of Marxism.
But Mao quoted Lenin on key aspects of communism, and even quoted Lenin quoting Frankfurt School thinkers. I’ll be putting a video on that in the next post in the next hour or so.
So while I agree with you that this seems to be a Mao style revolution, at least in terms of the tactics and language, its still classical Marxism that was all in all a lot less about economics than people are let to believe.
All in all, it is about dialectics.
Further- heh. “DEI” or “DIE”, Communism, being a religion, can’t help but form its own God, can it? It’s making its own idols in Baphomet statues and St. Floyd murals, as well.
I hate to sound utterly naive but here is the obvious question ~ why does anyone want this? No one has ever satisfactorily answered that question for me. Communism, Marxism, Maoism, Islamism … why would anyone want to live the sort of life they offer? These ideologies offer nothing but violence, misery, hatred of each other and humanity. I know … power. But seriously – with only 70, 80 years above ground wouldn’t any sane human being want to make his life as productive and happy as he can?
The majority of those who agitate for it are deceived as to what it is.

These would be college students who think life would be more fair under communism. That all those who do well did so by cheating. That the current system of economics is a zero sum game, which it decidedly is not.
You have people who think “capitalism” is destroying the world, and that socialism is the solution to save the planet.
This has been carefully intertwined with a number of dialectic attacks against Western thought. Hard to say which was first but let’s start with “racism”, which has been turned into a bigger crime than, well crime in most people’s eyes.
And of course, ONLY racism by white or Western people. Not the racism that defines Chinese or Japanese or African tribal culture.
One could make the case that the three great myths that justify communism in the minds of the useful idiots are from three ideas, that might actually be books as well, I don’t remember.

Steven Pinker in his book, The Blank Slate details how these concepts corrupted science and reason in the West. And while he doesn’t explicitly state that this is the basis for Marxist thought today, it’s sufficiently clear that this is what he is saying.

I do have a personal theory about why many college students go this route though, from a psychological perspective.
I suspect that for many young adults, the brief period where they go from depending on their parents for security of material needs to being self dependant is absolutely the most frightening time of their lives.
That they would rather hit the streets and risk jail or whatever to try and get a lifetime of state support, rather than learn a marketable skill and depend on that for a living.
See for them, the idea of learning and using a marketable skill, is so scary due to personal insecurity that they can’t really compete, that its easier to claim the whole system is inherently evil and should be brought down, rather than actually get a job.
And that accounts for a great percentage of these LARPing college students on the streets today.
To properly answer your question, which is a good and proper and important question could be a book on its own.
But just to get to the point where you see communism for what it really is, is an accomplishment.
Same goes for the epiphany that the Nazis are actually left wing and a fairly minor variation on communist thought.
I have a copy of Karl Marx’s book, The Jewish Question. It is handy for showing useful idiots where Hitler’s ideas about Jews came from. Same for those who claim Marx was Jewish.
Also young people learn nothing, either in school or in university about the evils of Communism, the millions of victims, the GULags, the mass murder, the hunger, the destruction. The only evil in the world was and is Nazis.
…and they teach that the Nazis were somehow right wing.
