Trudeau’s curious rant against real market forces in media and his Ontario Provincial stage prop

A video was released recently of Trudeau attempting a sanctimonious rant against Bell Media, itself most likely a government takeover of a substantial fraction of Canadian Mass Media, for firing a number of people because Canadians just can’t watch that much weaponized propaganda anymore. The rant is interesting for a few reasons. First, have a look for yourselves:

As a point of interest, around 5 months after Trudeau’s election,  Bell Media fired from Ottawa’s only conservative talk radio station, CFRA, all the actual non-leftist hosts in a single meeting. This was John Council, Ron Corbett and Nick Vandergragt (RIP) as well as Mark Sutcliffe who now is Ottawa’s mayor and others. They had already kind of shoved Lowell Green, the flagship conservative host, into retirement, and a few other hosts who routinely allowed calls from people concerned about Islam and its influence in Canada, and leftist measures destroying what actually constitutes a democracy. Trudeau was not upset about those firings. And who knows how many others were fired back then within media conglomerate, Bell Media, which likely has to have ties to government of some kind,

JohnnyU has a few thoughts about the economic aspects of Trudeau, and presumably his fat shadow, Ontario CINO Premiere, Doug Ford’s.

 The year was 2019, and the excuse was to “save” Canadian journalism. Coincidentally, our Dear Leader managed to “save” it just in time for this grand bribe to effectively manage the media ground assault that sold the injection of C-19 mRNA poison to the population, in the name of good health and science, don’t cha know. You remember, Radioman Covid stats every 15 minutes? –How many new cases and virus parts per million in our sewage? Blah-blah? Your money hard at work.

By his own words this market intervention by government must have worked well. Now he’s “pissed off” because our media giants, with his help, managed to accumulate such enormous capital reserves that they went out and vacuumed the marketplace for smaller news outlets. Talk about central planning  mismanaging complex economic systems! And media owners who whored themselves never had it so good.

Bell has enjoyed near-monopoly status in this country for over 100 years, and frankly I despise it with the white-hot hatred of a million burning suns because of having to deal with its arrogance over telephone bills. But for Trudeau to get on his high midget horse to lament Bell’s business decision to lighten its load on precipice of the coming economic depression is really rich.

Only a failing fascist can lament giving his private sector cronies millions of dollars in tax breaks, then scream “cheater!” when real market forces trump his meddling.

The open secret is that the internet, along with government lies, have driven nails into the legacy media coffin for years. Newspaper readership has been in steady decline worldwide since humanity turned to alternative news sources online. Television news outlets, who once held court with enraptured audiences every evening at 6 o’clock, would now sell their souls (if they had one to sell) for a single hour of Rogan or Carlson reach. Ask CNN or the ghost of Walter Cronkite.

Appearances are deceptive, however. It’s hard to keep a good (failing) fascist down. We can, possibly, take his screeching as a signal of things to come. A doubling down on media control? A final hollowing out of all dissenting outlets? A grab for the throat of every independent blogger critical to the regime?
