Since then, many MEPs have come out against the body itself. Europeans are voting in anti-EU politicians as it is the closest they will ever get to having any kind of voice in that ‘legislature. Most famously is probably Christine Anderson of course.

As I recall, there are two layers to the EU. A beard of democracy, where elected members sit, and the European Commission or something like that, where less democratically selected people actually make the rules. Many years ago, we posted a video from a UK MEP who exposed how limited the access was by MEPs to the sanctum sanctorum of the EU. If I can find it. I’ll repost it. But the gist was that the EU library of legislation and other materials concerning how the EU would rule, was only available to MEPs by appointment. That they could not bring in any cameras or recording equipment whatsoever. That they could not reveal what they read or saw, other than by a lose paraphrasing of some materials, but no quoting verbatim.
So journalist rules for a courthouse in Canada at best. And this was for the MEPs.
The European Union is a recreation of the politburo of the Soviet Union.
As an aside, Diana’s site will go off line December 31st. The format it uses is obsolete and canot be sustained by web-servers any longer. For once, this is actually a technical thing and not a conspiracy or a plot against her or her material. Which is somewhat of a relief. But it will be a huge loss to us all when that site goes dark.

Jim Hoft earlier this week dropped a bombshell that 177 of Jeffrey Epstein’s high profile associates are in for a New Year’s surprise as they will be named in court documents set to be released in the first days of 2024.
A few of the individuals were apparently identified by the Daily Mail, including housekeepers. The only high profile person identified was Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz.

Face of evil: David Kozak, 24, named as gunman who left 15 dead in horror Prague shooting as chilling video emerges of people jumping off ledges to escape massacre
The gunman who killed at least 14 people as he unleashed terror on Prague today has been named as student David Kozak, 24, with police saying he was shot dead after carrying out the horrific attack.
Kozak murdered his father in the nearby town of Hostoun before heading into the Czech capital where he began randomly shooting people from the balcony of Charles University Arts faculty.
In the lead up to his killing spree, he is thought to have kept a diary in Russian on messaging app Telegram, writing: ‘I want to do a school shooting and possibly suicide.’
The massacre is the Czech Republic’s worst ever mass shooting, and the gunman is believed to have been inspired by a school shooting carried out by 14-year-old schoolgirl Alina Afanaskina in Russia earlier this month.
Earlier, a chilling image emerged showing the gunman dressed in black aiming a rifle at people below while standing on top of the Charles University Faculty of Arts building.
Terrified students and tourists were seen fleeing while others crouched beneath a window ledge on the high building as gunshots rang out in what is one of Europe’s top tourist hotspots. Reports have suggested that one person died after falling from a building as they took cover.
There are fears that tourists could be among those killed or the 25 injured in today’s shooting, with police working to identify the victims and saying they will contact embassies with updates in the event of foreign nationals being affected in the atrocity.

On Tuesday night, the Colorado Supreme Court of Democrat-appointed justices ruled the state will not allow President Donald Trump ‘s name on the state’s ballots for the 2024 election. They claim this is due to his incitement of the Jan. 6, 2021, US Capitol riot – something he’s never been charged for or convicted of.

Houthis threaten to target US warships if they attack Yemen
A leader of Yemen’s Houthis, Abdul Malik Al-Houthi, yesterday warned that the group will strike US warships and interests if Washington targets Yemen.
“We will not stand idly by if the Americans are tempted to escalate further and commit foolishness by targeting our country or waging war against it,” he said.
This came after US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin announced on Monday the formation of a multinational force with the aim of “deterring” the Houthi group’s attacks in the Red Sea and its “threat to maritime trade”.
The Houthi group targets ships owned or operated by Israeli companies or transporting goods to and from Israel as they pass through the Bab Al-Mandab Strait “in solidarity with the Gaza Strip,” which has been subjected to continuous Israeli aggression since 7 October.

In his address yesterday, Al-Houthi said the American move in the Red Sea, Bab Al-Mandab and the Gulf of Aden does not protect international navigation, but rather harms it.
“Any American targeting of our country will be targeted by us, and we will make American battleships, interests and navigation a target for our missiles, drones and military operations,” he added.
The Houthis have controlled the city of Hudaydah in western Yemen, overlooking the Red Sea, since 2014. Since Israel launched its aggression against the besieged Gaza Strip in October, the group has been attacking Israel-bound commercial ships.
“The greatest danger threatening international navigation and the movement of commercial ships is the American move that seeks to militarise the Red Sea, Bab Al-Mandab and the Gulf of Aden, and seeks to turn the sea into a battlefield,” he added.
The Houthi leader stressed that the group’s operations in the Red Sea, Bab Al-Mandab, the Arabian Gulf, and the Sea of Aden exclusively target ships linked to Israel, and do not target any other ships or harm international navigation.
He advised all countries not to involve themselves, nor sacrifice their interests, in the service of the Israeli enemy.
Earlier on Tuesday, a leader of the Yemeni Houthi group and a member of the group’s Supreme Political Council, Muhammad Ali Al-Houthi, told Iran’s Al-Alam TV that any country that moves against Yemen will have its ships targeted in the Red Sea.

Family of autistic Jewish teen who had swastika carved on his back by classmates sues school

The family of an autistic Jewish high school student who had a swastika carved on his back in a cruel antisemitic attack by classmates is suing his Las Vegas school.
The abused teen and his mom, identified only as S.K. and C.K. in court papers, claim the Clark County School District not only failed to protect the 18-year-old, but dropped the ball on providing him a proper education.
“At the outset, the district failed to provide [the student] a safe school environment that was free from harassment, intimidation and bullying,” according to the complaint filed Nov. 13 with the Nevada Department of Special Education.
“Specifically, on March 9, 2023, [the student] came home from school with a swastika physically carved into his back and the service dog bag was broken and re-sewn,” it said. “[He] refused to enter that specific bathroom after that day. The district denied any knowledge of the incident occurring.”
The teen has since been homeschooled.
“This horrific act against a defenseless Jewish student is a stark reminder of the deeply rooted issue of antisemitism that persists in our society,” Ziporah Reich, director of litigation at the Lawfare Project, which filed the complaint, said in a statement.
According to the complaint, the district has also failed to provide the student with a proper education under the Individuals with Disability Education Improvement Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act, despite his years in the schools.
