Two Israeli tourists were killed on Sunday when a gunman opened fire on their group in the Egyptian port city Alexandria.
The Foreign Ministry said their Egyptian tour guide was killed as well, and a third Israeli was moderately injured.
The Foreign Ministry, the National Security Council, the IDF, and Israel’s embassy in Cairo have all been working to bring the Israelis back home, said the ministry spokesman. A military plane will carry the survivors and the bodies back to Israel.

4. Eyewitness Account of the Rave Massacre
I’ve spent the last 12 hours speaking to Israelis who were at the Supernova music festival. Their testimonies, as you would imagine, are very emotional. At least one broke down mid-conversation and wasn’t able to continue his recollection.
The attack on the festival outside of Re’im began around 7 a.m. The party was at its peak by then—which meant that by then most people were inebriated. At first, partygoers heard a loud explosion, which they took to be another sporadic rocket attack on southern Israel. But then the explosions grew louder and constant, and kept going for about five minutes. The music stopped, and the police protecting the 4,000 or 5,000 ravers began pushing everyone to leave.
By then, the terrorists were approaching in pickup trucks bearing Hamas military markings.
Shooting began. Many were executed on the spot. 260 bodies have been found, so far, on the site of the rave.

OTTAWA — The Embassy of Israel in Ottawa says it feels at risk of violence after nearly three years of pushing Global Affairs Canada to increase its security.
It is exceptionally rare for embassies and consulates to go public with concerns about their security, but the Israeli Embassy provided two senior officials for an interview on the subject.
The interviews were given on the condition the two officials not be named by The Canadian Press, because staff fear hostility directed at the diplomatic mission could target individual employees.

In April, that group reported a stark jump in violent anti-Jewish incidents, from nine in 2020 to 75 in 2021, including beatings, vandalism of synagogues and swastikas in schools.

EU backpedals on announced aid cut to Palestinians

A senior European source tells The Times of Israel that the decision announced earlier today by European Union Commissioner Oliver Varhelyi to immediately sever all EU aid to the Palestinians will not be implemented, due to opposition from member states.
Varhelyi is a diplomat from Hungary, which takes a much more hawkish approach toward the Israeli-Palestinian conflict than many of the 27 other members of the EU.
The senior European source speculates that Varhelyi’s decision will be walked back tomorrow when the EU’s foreign policy chief Josep Borell meets with European foreign ministers.

Defenders of Kibbutz Nir Am say they killed 2 terrorists Saturday, preventing takeover

A failed attempt by terrorists on Saturday to enter Nir Am, a kibbutz situated some 500 yards (457 meters) away from the border with Gaza, ended with the death of two perpetrators, a local defender says.
“The terrorists appear to have tried to penetrate a large chicken farm next to Nir Am, possibly mistaking its fence for the kibbutz’s fence,” says Ami Rabin, 70, the previous security coordinator of Nir Am, who is also the uncle of his successor, Amit Rabin.
The kibbutz’s guard detail, whose members took up forward positions upon hearing gunshots, shot two of the terrorists as they entered the factory, Rabin tells The Times of Israel. Blood trails around the scene indicated a third sustained a serious injury, he adds.

Countering the lie that ‘Israelis are Western colonizers’

Across the West, Muslims and their socialist allies claim that Israel is a Western colonizer. That’s a lie. Here’s a very slimmed-down history of the last 4,000 years.
The original indigenous people of the land we now call Israel were the Canaanites. When the Jews migrated to that land roughly 4,000 years ago, tribal warfare ensued, and the Canaanites lost. Since then—for around 4,000 years—the Jews have had a continuous presence in Israel. They are the indigenous people with a claim to the land older than any other living people. In ancient times, they held that land despite wars with and occupations by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, and Greeks.
Finally, in 70 A.D., the Romans fully conquered Israel, erasing its identity as a nation. To symbolize that conquest, Rome renamed the land Palestine after the Philistines whom the Jews had destroyed in David’s time. In subsequent centuries, Christians, Persians, Umayyad Muslims, Abbasid Muslims and, eventually, Ottoman Muslims invaded the land and ruled as imperialist colonizers. Through it all, Jews continued on the land.
During the Ottoman period, Israel was a barren wasteland riddled with malaria and yellow fever. The Jews were eventually joined by two Muslim tribes: the Druze, whom Muslims consider heretics, and the Bedouins. Beginning in the early 19th century, Muslim refugees from other lands came, too. Pierre Van Paassen, a Protestant minister and journalist, knew the region intimately in the first half of the 20th century. His book The Forgotten Ally, much of it based on events he witnessed and people he knew, fills in some of the erased facts in the region’s history, including how the modern “Palestinians” came there.
Those who came included Algerians who left North Africa after France’s conquest in 1830; Circassian immigrants from the Russian Caucasus, whom the Turks settled in Syria-Palestine in the second half of the 19th century; and Senussi Muslims from Tripoli who trickled into Syria-Palestine after WWI to escape persecution in their own land. These people did not own the land where they settled and lived in unimaginable squalor.
Two things changed this backwater dynamic. First, in response to (a) the Dreyfuss Affair in France, when an innocent Jewish military officer was accused of treason for crimes known to have been committed by a French noble, and (b) the pogroms in Eastern Europe. Theodor Herzl said that the return to the Holy Land was the only way for Jews in the diaspora (the lands outside of Israel) to survive.
Zionism was born. Many answered the call. Jews bought the land from Ottoman landowners (who lived in Istanbul, Paris, London, etc.), and the idealists headed off to turn the swamp into a land of Milk and Honey.
Second, the Ottoman Empire collapsed when Germany (with which it had allied itself) lost WWI. In 1916, anticipating victory, the French and British entered into the Sykes-Picot agreement, divvying up the land between them. While France would get what’s now Syria and Lebanon, Britain would get the southernmost edge of that territory, which is now Israel.
In 1917, Arthur Balfour issued the Balfour Declaration supporting Palestine as the national home of the Jewish people. This wasn’t just a Protestant religious commitment. It also took a swipe at Germany’s ally.
When Germany lost the war, the Sykes-Picot agreement went into effect. “Syria-Palestine” became “British-mandate Palestine” (“BMP”).
At the time, according to Pierre van Paassen, the Arabs were thrilled with the Jewish presence in BMP. Energetic, European-educated Jews brought the benefits of modern agriculture techniques, modern medicine, and education to the downtrodden people in this backwater. Even the man who would become Faisal I bin Hussein bin Ali al-Hashimi, the king of Syria, in 1920, announced that “We Arabs…look with the deepest sympathy on the Zionist movement.”
How did that British and Arab sympathy collapse?
Van Paassen writes that it started when Britain shipped into the BMP the lower tiers of bureaucrats from across its Empire. These men, according to van Paassen, were antisemitic and recognized that the energetic Jews and grateful Arabs were a threat to their power. They encouraged the Arabs to view the Jews as their enemy. Additionally, in an era newly desperate for oil, Arabs had the oil. European countries knew on which side their oil was buttered.
In 1925, the League of Nations recognized that Palestine and Transjordan (modern Jordan) were successor states under international law. Palestine was to have been the Jewish state; Transjordan was the Muslim-Arab state. Both the British and the Arabs, however, refused to recognize Palestine’s status as a Jewish state.
When Hitler rose, Amin al-Husseini, the Mufti of Jerusalem and a radical Arab nationalist and violent antisemite, made common cause with the Nazis. He and Hitler plotted the complete annihilation of Jews in BMP. What happened, instead, was that, following the Holocaust, Jews poured into BMP. Eventually, the world was forced to acknowledge the Jews’ historic right to their indigenous homeland. As of 1948, the Jews got a new infusion of citizens when the Muslim world (the most aggressive colonizing force on earth) evicted roughly 900,000 Jews, many of whom had lived in those lands from times predating Jesus.
In the 76 years since then, Arabs have regularly attacked Israel, and Israel has repeatedly rebuffed those attacks. In each case, the Arabs engaged in the savagery we see today: mass rapes, kidnapping, torture, beheadings, body mutilation. Arabs just never did so on such a glaring, shocking scale and never before had the ability to share their “triumphs” on social media. Arabs fight wars as they did 1,400 years ago and as humans did in the Stone Age. There are no “rules of warfare.”
One final point: In the last forty years, Israel has also repeatedly been willing to cede land for peace, including handing Gaza over to the Arabs in 2005. That has made no difference. As the Hamas Charter makes explicit, the goal is now and has always been the eradication of the indigenous Jewish population.
Tell that to the next socialist who claims that Jews are the colonialists. They are the indigenous people who have been oppressed by millennia of colonialism, most recently by the Muslims and the British.

This is not an easy post to write. I feel that I’m watching the rise of Nazism in 1930s Europe, and that we are on the precipice of a globe-changing war.
The Hamas surprise attack on Israel has killed over 700 people and wounded over 2000. But beyond those numbers, the savagery of Hamas and Islamic Jihad has been startling by any standard. In my post last night I compared them to ISIS:

Palestinian civil society is ecstatic, with cheering crowds spitting on and defiling the bodies of the dead Israelis and tourists that have been dragged to Gaza.
Israel has no choice but to extract a massive toll on Hamas and other terror groups who also participated. This is not going to be like prior conflicts, such as in 2014, where there was fighting but everyone knew from the start the fighting was over the terms of the ceasefire. Israel was content to leave Hamas in power, viewing the barbarians as the lesser of evils among the many Palestinian terror groups. That will change.
The Israeli Defense Minister said: “The rules of war have changed, we will cripple Gaza so that it will remember it for the next 50 years.”
I’m beginning to understand why, and it’s more than the death toll. He undoubtedly knows more than has been reported.
On top of all the carnage we’ve already reported, such as the abduction of children and murder of families in front of each other, some even more unspeakable crimes are now being reported.
Liel Liebowitz of The Tablet magazine interviewed survivors of the music event attacked by Hamas at which 260 people we gunned down point blank. The survivors tell of mass rapes of women and girls, executions, and other abuses including by 15-16 year-old Palestinians, Eyewitness Account of the Rave Massacre:
Shooting began. Many were executed on the spot. 260 bodies have been found, so far, on the site of the rave.
Many of the young men and women started running in the flat expanse of the western Negev desert. Faced with the spectacle of kids fleeing for their lives on a largely flat surface, the terrorists began rounding up the rest of their victims.
Others were captured and bound and kidnapped. “I saw videos with a male getting held by a group of Arab kids. Like, they’re like 16, 17,” one survivor recalled. “They’re kids, but they’re young men already, and they’re holding this guy, and he looks as his girlfriend is being mounted on a bike and driven away from him. God knows what she’s going to experience … Women have been raped at the area of the rave next to their friends bodies, dead bodies.”
Several of these rape victims appear to have been later executed. Others were taken to Gaza. In photographs released online, you can see several paraded through the city’s streets, blood gushing from between their legs.

There are also numerous reports — but not so far reported by mainstream media — of Hamas circulating images and video on Telegram channels of Israeli soldiers and a foreign civilian they thought was Jewish being beheaded and abused. The images and video appear to be genuine and are consistent with other reports, but have not been ‘independently verified.’
We are dealing with inhuman monsters.
Of course, Hamas made sure to video the abduction of Israeli children.
I’m sure there will be a lot more to be revealed in the coming days.
As I also said in that prior post, Israel faces a difficult choice:
The hostages held in Gaza will not be recovered alive unless Israel gives major concessions and leaves Hamas in power. While of course Israel wants to get them back alive, Israeli military options are severely constrained if that is the goal. Hamas has grown comfortable taking hostages and using them as shields to temper Israeli military responses. The goals of toppling Hamas and getting the hostages back alive are not consistent. Israeli faces a tough choice.
Israeli risks not only the loss of over 100 hostages, but also a front opening with Hezbollah and even Iran directly. I think such a multi-front scenario is clearly possible, but that can’t deter Israel from dealing Hamas and the other Gaza terrorists a blow that will be remembered for 50 years.
There’s no turning back if Israel is to survive.
Our own survival is at stake too. We need Israel to do this, too. The compete destruction of Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and the other terror groups will show the Barbarians who are inside our gates that they will not win either.

Hezbollah High Command Releases Video Warning Israel, “We Are Coming”

On Sunday, Israel Defense Systems (IDF) announced it had exchanged fire with the terrorist group Hezbollah, the Iran-backed armed group in Lebanon, in a contested area in Israel.
This exchange comes on the heels of a devastating attack by Palestinian terrorist group Hamas that left hundreds of Israelis dead and thousands injured.
Hezbollah, an armed party backed by Iran, launched guided rockets and artillery onto three posts in the Shebaa Farms area. They claimed this was “in solidarity” with the Palestinian people, following a multi-pronged attack by Palestinian terrorists on Israeli towns.
Senior Hezbollah official Hashem Safieddine warned that the attack in Shebas was a “message” to the Israelis and the US to stop this “foolishness” or the whole region will be involved in the war.
“The responsibility obliges all the sons of our nation not to be neutral and we are not neutral,” Safieddine said at an event in Beirut’s southern suburbs according to Naharnet.
“The resistance sent a message this morning in Kfarshouba to say that it is our right to target the enemy that is still occupying our land and the Israelis must read this message well,” he added.
“There is a message to the Americans and Israelis that what happened in Gaza means that your protracted foolishness and underestimation have led you to the Al-Aqsa Flood (Operation), and if you go further today you will witness the flood of the entire nation, not only al-Aqsa,” Safieddine threatened.
He also warned that “the scene of the storming of settlements around Gaza coupled with rocket shelling will one day be repeated dozens-fold stronger, from Lebanon and from all the areas that are adjacent to occupied Palestine.”

Spokesman for the Islamist group Hezbollah, Ibrahim Al Moussawi wrote, “The time of defeats has passed, and the time of victories has come. This equation is the one that will prevail at the level of every axis of resistance, from Palestine to Yemen. What comes after October 7, 2023 is not the same as before. This is a strategic historical juncture. Israel will not continue as it was, and neither will the resistance and its axis. Days of glory, glory and victory.”
Israel’s military responded by firing artillery into the area in Lebanon from where the cross-border fire was initiated. An Israeli drone also struck a Hezbollah post in the area of Har Dov, another region in Shebaa Farms.
“In response to a Hezbollah attack from Lebanon into Israel, IDF Artillery struck targets in the area,” the IDF said in a statement.

In a recent meeting with Iraqi tribal leaders, Hadi al-Amiri, the leader and secretary-general of the Badr Organization, an Iranian-backed Shiite militia and political party based in Iraq, issued a stark warning to the United States.
He declared that Iraq would target the U.S. if it intervened alongside Israel against Palestinians, according to reports from Iraqi news media outlet Shafaq and Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).
Amiri emphasized that the new Iraq is firmly aligned with the Palestinian cause.
“The achievements in Palestine, which were beyond the reach of all Arab armies, are being realized. The new Iraq stands by the Palestinian cause, and we will not waver in our support,” he said.

Project DYNAMO, a private squad of US military veterans, is heading to Israel to rescue trapped Americans.
Brian Stern, the group’s co-founder , told The New York Post his group only has to step up to help “because the Biden administration refuses to protect its own people even when they’re ‘being held at the barrel of a gun.’”
The Gateway Pundit reported on Project DYNAMO’s prior work to help evacuate Americans trapped in civil-war-ravaged Sudan, those abandoned in Afghanistan, and helping those in parts of the world where Joe Biden has failed American citizens and our allies.
Stern joined Fox News to discuss the horrific terrorist attacks against Israel.
Stern spoke to The New York Post sharing, “There’s never been anything like DYNAMO before — because there’s never been a need for anything like DYNAMO before.”
“The net result is Americans keep getting put in danger, and America keeps embarrassing itself on the world stage,” he said of what he sees as a weakened foreign response.
