This doesn’t seem as controversial as TC makes it to be. A government official (perhaps erroneously) feels that a country denies its citizens certain rights and the official protests and his country supports him in doing so. What does the US expect of an ambassador whose own status as being part of a same-sex couple who adopted children is now banned?
Imagine if Jordan sent the US an ambassador and he came with 3 of his 4 wives and settled in a state that had just affirmed that marriage is for couples and that polygamous families could not adopt children. Ambassadors are not diplomats! They are political appointees who represent the will of the President abroad. Embassy staff are the diplomats who temporarily have to accommodate the clueless interloper.

I am reading of one of Amb Presser’s missteps: he invited a presumably non-Jewish man to an Embassy Passover seder despite the man’s outspoken lies comparing Israelis to genocidal Nazis. The embassy staff must be laughing at him instead of supporting him .

An ambassador is supposed to make nice. They can be stupid, but not gratuitously rude. They’re not diplomats, but they’re not viceroys dispatched to civilize the benighted natives.
To send a partisan hack or people who will openly violate the norms of the country demonstrates unacceptable disrespect. Just smile, make friends if possible, keep relations lubricated.
Leave the snide comments and cultural imperialism to the foreign ministers or whoever has that portfolio. It’s wiser to have difficult discussions in private, after consulting with professionals who know the language and manners. There’s always a passel of obnoxious resident foreign journalists to dirty the host country in public discourse.
You either have diplomatic relations or you don’t. An Embassy provides services for its own citizens in the country, facilitates business deals, and gives cover to spies posing as something like ‘deputy assistant attache’.
I’m not at all amused by Amb. Presser’s incompetence or that of the staff sent to organize an event as important as Passover seder. To spit in the face of our closest ally in the region – at this time of painful domestic strife and surging antisemitism here in the U.S.A. – that makes me ashamed. The govt proudly declares that it protects Hungary from “illegal immigration” — while Fidesz has declared that 500.000 new “legal” workers will be imported … mostly from the ME. In a 10-million country, mind you. And we have some 2 million parasitic and predatory gipsies that are being cuddled like the muslims in Wester Europe…

Hungary is just another District in the Global Hunger Games society. The country (district of the wolrd govt) itself is controlled opposition. I think the tyranny that’s descending upon us is being engineered according to local requirements (“think global, act local”). The Hungarians must be handled a bit more softly because if the tyranny is too blatant, we rise up easily. So the deception is shrewder here.

So that you cannot break out of the Matrix: because either you support or oppose the Hungarian reality, you remain in the same dichotomy created by the enemy. What happens if you support a pseudo reality? Nothing. And if you oppose it? Absolutely nothing — from the perspective of the global parasitic overclass. Some divide & conquer game to hide their real business.
What you’re not allowed to do, however, is oppose Agenda 2030. In Hungary it is being introduced too, but very clandestinely — under the guise of the harsh and loud Conservative Christian Circus of the Huns.
Just a small example: we are being herded towards the “no car” scenario. Petrol is expensive but gets no subsidy. On the other hand intercity mass transport gets insanely HUUUge subsidies. So tha the hoi polloi can cheaply travel get on the buses. And you can buy your tickets much more easily with phone apps than personally with cash. The undigital world gets disadvantaged, individual freedom of movement ditto. See my point? It’s about the slow (but historically fast), and relentless transformation … of the Great Fascist Commie Reset. Slow enough to avoid riots but steady enough to be irreversible.
