UK’s medical royal colleges pride themselves on being world leaders in areas of public health, education, and clinician training. However, a new study shows their mission to address urgent, complex health issues from a cross-specialty perspective may be compromised when money enters the picture.

Experts in the UK are sounding the alarm over the lack of funding transparency from medical royal colleges, saying that failure to disclose the millions of dollars accepted from drug companies like Pfizer and medical devices firms threatens public and doctors’ trust. […]

At least 14 medical royal colleges received a total of over £9 million ($11.56 million) from drug and medical device companies between 2015 and 2022, according to a paper published in the British Medical Journal. The Royal College of General Practitioners accepted the highest disclosed amount at approximately £3.5 million ($4.5 million), closely followed by the Royal College of Physicians at £2.5 million ($3.21 million).

One realizes how people like Trudeau, Kamala Harris, Jacinda Ardern, and many other contemporary leaders are perhaps examples of regional leaders who used to be able to think independantly, but now are cogs in the machine of implementing authoritarian orders from a single source. There may be still some debate about who that source is. For us, it’s the Bilderberg group. But Klaus Schwab and his WEF will do nicely.

To the outsider this state apparatus may look like the seemingly wild tangle of cables in a telephone exchange; but like such an exchange it could be directed by a single will. Dictatorships of the past needed assistants of high quality in the lower ranks of the leadership also-men who could think and act independently.

The authoritarian system in the age of technology can do without such men. The means of communication alone enable it to mechanize the work of the lower leadership. Thus, the type of uncritical receiver of orders is created.

Speer explained that, while Hitler was the first to employ the tools of authoritarian control to carry out his regime’s crimes, as technology developed after the war, other technocratic dictatorships would pose an even greater threat to humanity:

The more technological the world becomes, the greater is the danger…As the former minister in charge of a highly developed armaments economy it is my last duty to state: Every country in the world may be dominated by technology; but in a modern dictatorship this seems to me to be unavoidable. Therefore, the more technological the world becomes, the more essential will be the demand for individual freedom and the self-awareness of the individual human being as a counterpoise to technology.
