CHAPINERO, COLOMBIA — The mainstream media gymnastics are ongoing as of publishing of this article. But we are going with common sense and the preponderance of evidence to stop the postmortem smear campaigns meant to deflect attention away from the culprit herein.

An eastern Ontario provincial politician has surrendered to police and is facing more charges, this time related to the convoy protest and occupation in downtown Ottawa this winter.

Ottawa police announced nine charges against Independent Lanark-Frontenac-Kingston MPP Randy Hillier in a Monday morning news release, saying they had complaints “about social media posts and other activities of an individual” during the so-called Freedom Convoy.

The charges are:

One count of assaulting a peace or public officer.
Two counts of obstructing or resisting a public officer.
One count of obstructing or resisting someone aiding a public or peace officer.
Three counts of counselling an uncommitted indictable offence, two of them considered mischief.
Two counts of mischief or obstructing property exceeding $5,000.
Hillier surrendered at Ottawa police headquarters Monday morning. He told reporters he was doing so after getting a call from police on Sunday.

He denied assaulting an officer, saying he only greeted people “with love and affection and embrace and handshakes.

“So unless handshakes or warm embraces are now considered assault, I have no idea,” he said.

Lawyer David Anber said he’d like a Monday bail hearing. Ottawa police said Hillier is expected in court Monday.

There were calls for Hillier’s arrest in February when he tweeted people should “keep calling” after Ottawa police tweeted that people had to stop calling “critical emergency and operational phone lines” to express displeasure over police actions to clear streets.

Hillier is facing other charges for breaking COVID-19 pandemic rules, and he said Monday he’s facing about 25 charges for various COVID protests.

Earlier this month, Hillier said he’s not running for re-election in June in the seat he’s held since 2007.

3. G7 rejects Putin’s demand for rouble payment for Russian gas – Germany

BERLIN, March 28 (Reuters) – Energy ministers from the Group of Seven industrialized nations reject demands by President Vladimir Putin that “unfriendly” countries pay for Russian gas with roubles, Germany’s Robert Habeck said after talks with his counterparts on Monday.

“All G7 ministers have agreed that this is a unilateral and clear breach of existing contracts,” Habeck, who is German economy and climate protection minister, told reporters after a virtual conference with G7 energy ministers.

The ministers “underlined once again that the concluded contracts are valid and the companies should and must respect them … payment in roubles is unacceptable, and we call on the companies concerned not to comply with Putin’s demand,” he said.

“Putin’s attempt to divide us is obvious, but – as you can see from this great unity and determination – we will not be divided.”

As expected, some people are leaving because perfect alignment on all issues is rarely possible. And on one large issue, that can make or break it, there can be an exodus. I don’t know what to say to those people. As much as I like to have the site liked, and people read it, at the end of the day the purpose of it is to try and understand reality well enough to make better descisions for ourselves and our societies. And we sometimes get things wrong. And in war, the pressure and the fog of lies is thick and intense. At the end of the day, there doesn’t appear to be anyone you can stand behind and say, “I support this guy’s position.”. The best I personally can say at this time is, “At first, I understood the Russian Casus Belli concerning the Donbas and the bio weapons labs. But there are also credible reports of indiscriminate shelling of civilian apartment buildings and levelling cities subsequent to the initial invasion. (This would account for the treatment of the Russian PoWs if thats the case). IF these are true, its not purposeful. It is not for the stated goal, and its not tactical but strategic bombing and it should stop. But Ukraine appears to be so deep into the WEF like Canada and NZ etc. that one is reluctant to fight for this kind of authoritarian leftism over that kind of authoritarian leftism. Is this about a rational response to bio-weapons labs and mistreated Russians within the Donbas? Or is this Russian manifest destiny?

According to Stratfor, many years ago before Obama and a mysterious change of narrative over at a publication that was the best news available before 44, Russia has the same geopolitical problems now it always had. This would be because the geography has not changed. And that the decisions the Tzars made, which were similar to the ones the Soviets made, and now appear to be the same as Putin makes, have to do with the limits the geography of the region sets on trying to set up your civilization. Rail routes, ocean access, classic issues of all nation states. Stratfor made the case back before 2008 that the only difference between the Soviets and Putin, is now Russia doesn’t have the dismal system of communism holding it back. So, they predicted in 2008 or before, Putin was a bigger threat than the Soviets. At least that was their claim.

What Stratfor didn’t know, was that in 2022, the West would be largely communist, and would have that horrible system holding it back. Perhaps not in exactly the same way as did the Soviets. But as Twain says, “History does not repeat itself. But it does rhyme”. We have it ideologically. We spend money making fighter jet flight suits for “pregnant people”. We destroy merit as a reason to choose people for important positions, preferring race and group oriented choices ostensibly on the basis of ending race and group oriented choices.

This is at least as encumbering as the Soviet economic system. And the failure of our economic system will likely soon follow.

  1. Eeyore, at this point the only real certainty is that both sides are lying something fierce. Why the heck would you want to take a position this way or that? I am pretty sure the pregnant celebrity at the destroyed hospital was a staged photo op. But do I know it for sure? No. Perhaps the POWs getting shot in legs is Russian propaganda. How would I know?

    Lots of historical info on the Bandera and swastika fans, and on the abuses in the Donbas. Lots of historical info on the abuse of western Ukrainians by the Soviets. But other than that… I hear even the Ukrainians are divided on what is going on. Even within families. Perhaps you can resist taking sides. The only side that makes sense to me right now is rooting for all Ukrainians seeing better days soon. Too much suffering there, too many years.

    I am staying. The site is invaluable. Thank you from the heart.

      • People there don’t know what’s happening. It’s all rumors.

        Our family in Kiev is ok, that patch will most likely remain intact. Their friends from Odessa left for Israel in early February. They hear the whole coast is a bullseye.

        People at the local Ukrainian Church are talking to their relatives constantly. Civilian infrastructure has not been a primary target. Fuel depots, munitions storage sites, weapons transit positions – yes, you’re outta luck.

        From what we hear (filtered through families), stop the fighting now! The longer it goes on, the more people will be forced into cities. Urban warfare, human shields.

        This “plucky little patriot” is madness. They’re bait for the cynical West, Putin will kill them out of pique.

      • Same here. I never left and I read all the posts and almost all the comments. I’ve been quiet recently because of information overload and a certain resulting brain freeze.

        Some videos I view can be 90 minutes in length and I don’t post them here. Others can be short but too horrifying to post; the horror (Ukrainian atrocities) drains my energy.

        Re Russia-Ukraine: from all that I’ve seen and heard, Russia is into the bombings while Ukrainian militias are responsible for most of the on-the-ground destruction (witness accounts) and atrocities toward humans. And I still don’t believe Putin is expansionist.

        Apparently, talks in Istanbul are going well and Russia is pausing its activities.

        A tiny ANECDOTE from yesterday: This addresses Covid-related human behavior.

        I went to my City Hall to pay my taxes yesterday. The place is quite big and the ceiling is very high. I’m alone, nobody waiting in line. There’s a long counter with a plexiglass separator.

        The clerk lathered her hands as she asked me the purpose of my visit. I paid with the Interac on my side of the counter. We had no contact other than her handling of my tax paper. After she stamped it and gave it back to me, there she goes again… fully lathering her hands. Totally robotic behavior, these are the people we must worry about because we can’t get through to them.

    • I noticed him a long time ago, thought he was “different”, and I wondered what he did before his political life. He used to sit behind Justine and he would bend way over to be seen. Now we get to see the man with a degree in Economics on a regular basis and he is another perfect, Health Minister, puppet for Justine.

  7. I told my wife to hurry back home as we all need her and I post here with her permission as, where she is, she is not allowed access to this site nor most others that we use.

    She wants me to say, and I thoroughly agree, that this site is one of the very few with which we are in total harmony WRT the espoused views and we both see it as vital to the war vs the NWO reset.

    It is hard to not be depressed by the recurrent waves of leftist lunacy that keep crashing against our borders and playing the “ostrich” is far too common while the “sheep” are just that.

    Like the supposed Jan 6 “attack” the truckers’ “occupation” will not be forgiven or forgotten and the ruling scum will track them down and gaol them or persecute them financially.

    I personally know how the rank and file of our military feel about it all (unlike the police) and if push comes to shove, these creatures might be in for a shock but while the MSM can still spew its poison most of the sheep will still not have a clue.

  9. I’m staying. Just keep pushing for the truth. The people trying to feed the lies will have to work harder and harder to keep the whole house of cards from falling apart. The wicked will be burned as stubble. All part of the plan.

    Best I can advise… Look to God for answers that are consistent and full of peace. It will help carry you through some tough times when the hearts of men will fail them. He’s still a consistent source of truth. And as has been said, “By their fruits ye shall know them.”

    It’s us that keeps trying to rationalize what we see vs what we hear, and nothing makes sense that way.

    The great strenght of Vlad Tepes Blog are not that you are writing long articles yourself all the time (you are not…) but that you present news and views that you find elsewhere that I would hardly find on my own, thank you for saving me all that time!
