Reader’s Links for October 27, 2021

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

Enraged Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) parents called on Superintendent Scott Ziegler and the district’s board members to resign
An email surfaced last week where Ziegler reported an alleged sexual assault in the girls’ bathroom but on June 22 publicly said he had no record of assaults
Parents stood outside the meeting in Virginia holding placards that read: ‘Protect girls not gender’ and’ ‘women and girls are not collateral damage’
Scott Smith, the assault victim’s father, was pictured with a bloody mouth, being dragged out of the June school board meeting
Smith and his wife were shamed for protesting against the school’s pro-transgender policy 8040 after the incident
On Monday a Loudoun County judge found the boy ‘in a skirt’ guilty of sexually assaulting Smith’s 15-year-old daughter in the girls’ bathroom

  2. Victorians should be ‘filled with dread’ by Andrews’ proposed pandemic laws

Sky News host Peta Credlin says Victorians should be filled with “dread” by new laws Premier Daniel Andrews wants to bring in to make himself “even more untouchable”.

The proposed legislation would replace the current health state of emergency which expires on December 15.

According to Ms Credlin, the Andrews government is seeking “greater and more sweeping powers” to “control Victorians in times of crisis”.

“And they’re intending to ram this legislation through the parliament with the help of a handful of crossbenchers who are nothing more than wolves in sheep’s clothing,” she said.

Victoria’s opposition leader has labelled the proposed laws as “the most dangerous legislation to come before an Australian parliament”.

Ms Credlin said the legislation would grant Daniel Andrews, not the chief health officer, the power to “decree new health orders based on an individual’s age, gender, sexual orientation, and political belief or activity”.

“It makes a mockery of representative democracy and the parliament,” she said.

“Even our federal laws against suspected terrorists have checks and balances designed to protect the liberty and human rights of Australians, and appropriate oversight by independent authorities.

“Not so here – oversight is quashed, equal opportunity and human rights protections bypassed, and enormous power handed to the one man in the state that we know, that we have seen, will use it to quash dissent from ordinary Victorians that he is supposed to lead, but dominates.”

    • I think the threat is fivefold;the wokeratti because they have lost all touch with reality, the Islamic crowd who wish to destroy Western civilization and establish a global caliphate , the pharmaceutical/ vaccine companies who wish to use us as their personal and unwilling pincushions in pursuit of profits and power ( at the cost of our deaths or permanent disability),the governments and politicians who are overreaching and assuming totalitarian powers over us and China who has bought most of our ruling class.

Russia meh .Far down on the list. China is 4 times bigger has a far bigger army ,far bigger navy and all the military hardware and advanced technology it needs to rule the world. It’s just an excuse to avoid the elephant in the room which is China

White male marketing VP at North Carolina hospital wins $10million ‘reverse discrimination’ payout after he was replaced by two women – one of whom is black – as part of diversity and inclusion program

David Duvall was fired by Novant Health in South Carolina in 2018, five days before his fifth work anniversary

At the time, he was the Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications

He says he was not given a reason for the firing, and was even told by his supervisor that he had done nothing wrong

Duvall’s role was split in two and given to two women; Kate Everett and Vicky Free

Everett, who is white, worked beneath him and was promoted to SVP of Communications

Free, who is black, was brought in as the SVP of Marketing

Duvall says both women are qualified but no more so than him, and that he was replaced as part of the company’s five-year inclusion and diversity plan

He alleges that he is one of five white men who lost their jobs that way in the healthcare group…

  5. global news – Masks still key to fighting COVID-19 spread despite high vaccination, experts say

[…]“Ending mask mandates is an absolutely horrible idea,” said Dr. Barry Pakes, an assistant professor at the University of Toronto’s school of public health.

Dr. Peter Juni, a professor at the University of Toronto and scientific director of the Ontario Science Table, agrees.

“We can’t let go of the masks and we can’t let go of the vaccine certificates,” he told Global News Friday after Ontario announced its plan to ease measures.

“If you want to have a proof of concept of what I just said, go to Denmark. Denmark has a lot of advantages over Ontario, structurally speaking, with a lot less problems with socioeconomic status, a lot less problems with living situations of people. But they lifted nearly all restrictions. And guess what? Case numbers are exploding again. We want to avoid that.”

[…]Even if case numbers are falling, masks still serve a purpose, said Dr. Susy Hota, an infectious diseases specialist and director of infection prevention and control at Toronto’s University Health Network.

“Masking can be one of the most powerful, and it’s also one of the most easily tolerated interventions we have,” she said.

[…]“The good news is that people are vaccinated. The risk of acquiring the infection is reduced significantly, and their risk of transmitting it off to others is also reduced, but it’s not down to zero,” Hota said. “So that’s why we have to have all of these measures in place and be mindful of when you remove one, making sure you have other measures that can help to mitigate the risk.”

[…]Wearing a mask in most indoor settings can help to keep case numbers low enough to allow people to take them off where they think it’s important – like at a restaurant with friends, said Dr. Catherine Clase, a professor of medicine and member of McMaster University’s Centre of Excellence in Protective Equipment and Materials.

[…]Clase, who led the creation of a website about cloth masks early in the pandemic, thinks that masks are a way to go about our lives with minimal disruption.

“Mask-wearing doesn’t really reduce our freedoms,” she said. “It actually increases our freedoms to do other things. So if we wear masks in settings where we really don’t mind that much or where we’ve got used to it, then we can actually do more things and be much more open and interactive as a society in a number of other ways.”

As provinces look at removing COVID-19 restrictions, “my personal opinion is that masking should be probably the last thing that we remove,” Hota said.

“It’s simple. It’s easy to apply. It protects the individual, but it also protects the community around the individual.”

global news – Should face masks still be required after pandemic ends

As vaccinations keep ticking up in Canada, some provinces are already further lifting more pandemic restrictions. But will Canadians be able to stop worrying about wearing a mask just as quickly?

Mask mandates continue to persist across most provinces and territories throughout Canada, despite some failed attempts to have them removed for good earlier in the year.

But some provinces like Ontario, Quebec, and Saskatchewan are already aiming to get rid of them in the near future.

As Jamie Maraucher reports, experts warn ditching the mandates too soon can still spell disaster for our health care system.

Victoria has ruled out exemptions for unvaccinated tennis players to take part in January’s Australian Open in Melbourne.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison had suggested that unvaccinated players could enter and serve quarantine if the Victorian government asked for an exemption.

However, State Premier Daniel Andrews has said that will not be happening.

He added that there will be no special treatment for tennis stars, even world no. 1 Novak Djokovic, who has refused to say if he’s vaccinated.

This rules him out from defending his title in January.

      • sky news Australia -Andrews won’t apply for exemptions for unvaccinated tennis players

Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews says he wants to make it clear that Victoria will not apply for exemptions for unvaccinated tennis players to enter the state for the Australian Open.

It comes after the federal government flagged unvaccinated tennis players will be allowed in the country but must undergo a 14-day quarantine.

“I agree with Alex Hawke the other day when he said that unvaccinated players should not be allowed in,” Mr Andrews said.

“What I want to make very clear is that the state of Victoria will not be applying for any exemptions for unvaccinated players.

“I’m not going to ask and actually require people sitting in the grandstand, people working at the event to be vaccinated while players aren’t.”

“Based on (CDC) data, among children 5 to <12 years of age there have been…143 COVID-19-related deaths in the US through 14 October 2021."

Pfizer’s own docs. 143 deaths. *With* Covid. 94%+ with health problems. The entire pandemic. This universal Covid vaccine push is a fraud.

There is no Covid “emergency” for children. Therefore, there should be no Emergency Use Authorization of vaccines for children. It’s just that simple.

The CDC on Tuesday said people who are moderately or severely immunocompromised can get a FOURTH Covid jab.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention updated its guidelines this week and told immunocompromised people to line up for another booster!

Moderately and severely immunocompromised people aged ?18 years who completed an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine primary series and received an additional mRNA vaccine dose may receive a single COVID-19 booster dose (Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, or Janssen) at least 6 months after completing their third mRNA vaccine dose. In such situations, people who are moderately and severely immunocompromised may receive a total of four COVID-19 vaccine doses.

Thousands of COVID-sceptics gathered in Vienna on Tuesday for a protest against government measures aimed at limiting the spread of the coronavirus.

The protest was prompted by Austria’s leaders suggesting further restrictions would be introduced for unvaccinated citizens if ICU admissions continue to rise.

Reports suggest the number of COVID-19 patients in ICU in Austria is around 220.

If the cases rise up to 500, entrance to bars and restaurants will only be allowed to those who have been vaccinated or have recovered.

If the number spikes to 600, unvaccinated people will only be allowed to leave their homes for specific reasons.

    • United Nations – Don’t Choose Extinction

The world spends an astounding US$423 billion annually to subsidize fossil fuels for consumers – oil, electricity that is generated by the burning of other fossil fuels, gas, and coal. This is four times the amount being called for to help poor countries tackle the climate crisis, one of the sticking points ahead of the COP26 global climate conference next week, according to new UN Development Programme (UNDP) research.

The amount spent directly on these subsidies could pay for COVID-19 vaccinations for every person in the world, or pay for three times the annual amount needed to eradicate global extreme poverty. When indirect costs, including costs to the environment, are factored into these subsidies, the figure rises to almost US$6 trillion, according to data published recently by the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Instead, UNDP’s analysis highlights that these funds, paid for by taxpayers, end up deepening inequality and impeding action on climate change.

The main contributor to the climate emergency is the energy sector which accounts for 73 percent of human-caused greenhouse gas emissions. Fossil fuel subsidy reforms would contribute to reducing CO2 emissions and benefit human health and well-being, and they are a first step towards correctly pricing energy – one that reflects the ‘true’ and full cost of using fossil fuels to society and the environment.

But UNDP’s analysis shows that fossil fuel subsidy reforms can also be unfair and harmful for households and society if they are poorly designed. While fossil fuel subsidies tend to be an unequalising tool – as the lion’s share of the benefits concentrate among the rich – these subsidies also represent an important portion of poor peoples’ incomes that otherwise must be paid for energy consumption. Fossil fuel subsidies’ removal thus could easily become an income- and energy-impoverishing strategy. This contributes to making fossil fuels reform difficult, and imposes a key barrier to transitioning to clean and renewable energy sources.

The Don’t Choose Extinction campaign features a collective intelligence platform, the Global Mindpool, to help tackle the most important issues of our time. Linking insights from around the world – on the climate emergency, the crisis in nature and inequality – the Global Mindpool will support UNDP to better inform and equip policy makers in government, civil society, and the private sector.

  9. John Kerry Holds $1 Million Stake in Equity Fund Linked To Uyghur Labor Abuse

The Chinese private equity fund in which John Kerry holds a $1 million stake is not only invested in a tech company blacklisted for human rights abuses but is also a major shareholder in a solar panel company linked to labor abuses of the Uyghurs.

Last December, that private equity fund, Hillhouse China Value Fund L.P., purchased a 6 percent stake in LONGi Green Energy, a Chinese solar panel manufacturer, making it the company’s second largest shareholder….

LONGi has come under fire from human rights groups and U.S. lawmakers for sourcing many of its raw materials from companies suspected of using forced labor in Xinjiang … Hillhouse is also a major funder of a tech company tied to the Chinese government’s surveillance of the Uyghurs…

Further insight into Hillhouse’s holdings is likely to increase scrutiny of Kerry’s finances and raise questions about whether he is using his role as climate envoy to block regulations on Chinese solar panel imports.

While Kerry has acknowledged that many solar panels are produced with forced labor in Xinjiang, he has also indicated resistance to additional financial restrictions or penalties on these goods.

  10. Obama’s Man in China Now Beijing’s Man in Washington

As the novel coronavirus wreaks havoc across the world, the Obama administration’s ambassador to China has found a second lease on life as a pro-China talking head on regime propaganda outlets.

Former ambassador Max Baucus has given at least four different interviews to Chinese propaganda outlets in the last two weeks, repeatedly comparing the U.S. rhetoric about China to both the McCarthy era and Nazi Germany.

“Joe McCarthy [and] Adolf Hitler … rallied people up, making people believe things that were really not true,” Baucus said during a May 12 interview with China Global Television Network (CGTN), a regime mouthpiece.

“The White House and some in Congress are making statements against China that are so over the top and so hypercritical, they are based not on the fact, or if they are based on fact, sheer demagoguery, and that’s what McCarthy did in the 1950s.”

  11. Facebook Rejected OC [on campus] Chabad Ad for Class Fighting Antisemitism

Facebook rejected Chabad Beth Meir HaCohen’s attempt to boost an advertisement for a course on how to fight antisemitism.

The Journal obtained Facebook’s October 24 rejection of the ad, simply stating that “it doesn’t comply with our advertising policies.”

The ad featured the late Rabbi Jonathan Sacks explaining the varying manifestations on antisemitism and ending with text urging people to sign up for the four-part course, titled “Outsmarting Antisemitism.” The video itself remains on Facebook.

Rabbi David Elizrie, who is teaching the course, told the Journal that he had sent information verifying his identity to Facebook more than a year ago and that it was “illogical” for Facebook to reject the ad.

“If Facebook is looking for hate speech… I would imagine that a human being would have looked at it and realized that this is the most absurd thing in the world: a Jewish organization running a course about antisemitism is told it doesn’t meet their guidelines,” he said and asked where Facebook’s “common sense” is.

  12. This young lady wrote on Twitter: “I think, privileged white Germans should be sterilized to save the environment!”

Since everyone who doesn’t agree with her (like the “Antifa”) are “Nazis”, she has now scandalously refused to present her debut novel “Black Heart” at the Frankfurt Book Fair. This is another way to get yourself talked about in the role of victim these days.

  13. This is in the same vein as the insinuations of Mr. Gil Ofarim, which proved to be false after a thorough police investigation. In the meantime, the world-wide Jewish community, which he did a disservice to with his vain attention-seeking, is ashamed of such “representatives”.

  14. My grandfather fell as a young soldier for Hitler’s madness in Russia, rests there anonymously in cold earth, without ever being recovered. My father and his entire family suffered from this for the rest of their lives. We live in a time when hatred and ignorance are once again the order of the day. All our aspirations should be directed towards making possible the peaceful coexistence of all peoples. Europe is the nucleus of industrial and civilizational development. We did not create this, our forefathers did. But we must not be constantly reproached that we are the only and true evil of this world.

    • To want to unite fire and water is a cardinal sin against humanity. Everyone feels the tension, the stress, the loss of quality of life. When women in certain areas no longer dare to leave the house to enjoy their lives.

It takes clear consistency to say, “Mr. Muslim, we have used all our gentleness, compliance and patience to conform to your way of life. But it does not fit our idea of freedom at all, we are incompatible and from now on divorced people. This is where we part ways. Please go back to your homeland, we are not in this world to be your need and wish fulfillers, but certainly not your servants or even slaves!”

When will this simple and for everyone very closely experienceable realization finally become generally accepted with our so-called “representatives of the people” (who should be nevertheless actually our “authorized servants”)?

Of course not at all and never, otherwise they would not have ridden us into this malaise from the beginning. They expose us willfully and inevitably to an inevitable and inescapable civil war and “clash of civilizations”, which presumably our less and less existing children will have to dispute, to fight out and to carry out, on their narrow shoulders weights our entire cowardice and inactivity.

So, before our “representatives” get rid of us, we should finally get rid of them. Our constitutions guarantee certificated the removal from power and the overthrow of any regime that is hostile to this constitution and disregards it. Each of us is called for quite some time to finally switch on his by Netflix exhausted rest-mind and to play the stupid self-murderous “game” no longer!

Note: Freedom has never been given for free in the history of mankind! If it is not fought for under personal privations, it has no value! “Free courage” against fictitious spectres may be allowed only to system-favorites and -profiteers as a juggling media-hobby!
