Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

“Who are you, and why are you crying?” I asked.

“I am Jesus Christ, and I am looking over My blood relatives and My people for whom I gave My life. Their sins have put a wall between God and themselves. God has decided to bring back all of the scattered people from the nations. Instead of thanking God for watching over them and giving them safe passage, they have become even more wicked that they were in the nations they left.

Remember when we used to talk here about dystopian movies? Men generally like them more than women, I think. I like the original Planet of the Apes. In fact Charleton Heston’s early ’70’s and late ’60’s flicks are classics. Who doesn’t like Omega Man https://youtu.be/NUkU18MrBzU and Soylent Green? https://youtu.be/N_jGOKYHxaQ

Fun fact–Soylent Green took place in 2022! “…What is the mystery of Soylent Green?…” What was the secret ingredient? Indeed. Seems to be an enduring question.

I mean, what guy didn’t identify with Heston’s rugged, solitary shadow? Even the way he grinded through the grit of his teeth the word “…Damn!…” with such exquisite disdain was pretty much perfect. Besides, how can a person not become rich and famous with a name like Charleton. I think I’ll change my name to Charleton. There, done. I no longer answer to anything else, and I look just like him, ladies. Damn.

Now zoom forward and here we are, not far from knocking on 2022’s front door. I wonder who will answer? Freedom sounds good when you think it to yourself, but I think it resonates as trite, corny and silly to all who take it for granted. C’mon, they say, don’t be silly. There is no conspiracy. “Fools!…” Heston shouts. “Damn you all to Hell!…” he says with words forged of white-hot lead.

Dystopian movies are all fun and games until someone loses a future, I guess. Just ask New Zealand. Only a government leveraging fear as a tool of control propagandizes the masses into abject submission. “…Vee vill inject you viss ziss miracle cure,” says the evil genius in the movie that is our reality.
“The hell you will!” says the ghost of Charleton Heston defiantly. “Take your filthy hands off me and shove your damned “vaccine” right up your ass!”

Closing credits of 2021 scroll on the door of 2022. Who answers the door is now the minority’s report.

    • You have a good movie there, Joh…, Charlton.

The leverage to get funding from investors for mRNA vaccines by negating and withdrawing other treatments, the silencing and removing of MDs from speaking out. The censorship of communication. And Heston’s last gasp, “I should have taken the damn vaccine.”

      “Tidal Wave”.

The government and scientists want all the people to go to higher ground.
They need to get transport organized to prevent traffic jams.

Parades on the sand and the hated police cannot stop them.

I like where this is going.

      • …Then finally, as he takes that last gasp, the long lense reveals that the “higher ground” was but an optical illusion all along…

        Fade to black.

    • Yes a lot of the dystopian SF movies and books were based in the early 2020s, a lot of them also had the West fighting a war against the Caliphate at this time. There were also some that had us fighting the Han at about this time.

  9. Associated Press – Book burning for Canada indigenous reconciliation sparks backlash

Burning Tintin books deemed offensive to indigenous peoples? The 2019 book burning at a group of schools in Canada, only revealed this week, has sparked controversy amid an election campaign.

The Conseil scolaire catholique Providence, which manages 30 schools in southwestern Ontario, identified and removed 5,000 children’s books it claimed conveyed prejudices about indigenous peoples.

Among the titles were “Tintin in America,” “Asterix and the Indians” and three Lucky Luke comic books, as well as novels and encyclopedias.

Some were burned during a reconciliation ceremony, Radio-Canada revealed Tuesday.

“It was a gesture of reconciliation with the First Nations and a gesture of openness towards other groups represented in the school district and in society,” Lyne Cossette told the public broadcaster, citing works that contained “obsolete and inappropriate content.”

Faced with a public backlash, the school board said Wednesday it had suspended the removal of books from its libraries. Nearly 200 books are currently under review.

“I am never in favor of burning the books,” said Prime Minister Justin Trudeau during a campaign stop, while also highlighting the importance of reconciliation with the First Nations.

On Twitter, leader Erin O’Toole promised that “a Conservative government would be committed to reconciliation.”

“But the road to reconciliation does not mean tearing down Canada. I strongly condemn the burning of books,” he said.

The leader of the New Democratic Party, Jagmeet Singh, meanwhile espoused changes to how children are taught.

Canada was shaken by recent discoveries of hundreds of unmarked graves of indigenous children forced to attend residential schools set up by the government to assimilate them into the mainstream from the late 1800s to the 1990s.

Students were physically and sexually abused by headmasters and teachers who stripped them of their culture and language.

And indigenous communities continue to deal with the lasting trauma of the government’s failed policy.

RT – ‘Flame purification’? I fear the burning of books in Canada is the first step towards something sinister and evil

Books featuring so-called ‘outdated content’ are being burned as a goodwill gesture to Indigenous people in Ontario. This fills me with dread, as history has shown us that the torching of ideas usually has disastrous consequences.

First, a confession. I get really emotional and upset when I encounter ritual book-burning. So when I read that in Canada, more than 4,700 books have been removed from the library shelves of schools and burned, I cannot help but feel depressed.

The book burning ceremony organised by an Ontario francophone school board was promoted as a “gesture of reconciliation” to Indigenous peoples. This barbaric act against enlightened cultural norms was labelled as a “flame purification ceremony.”

In line with the current fashion for recycling, Lyne Cossette, a spokeswoman for the school board, indicated that “symbolically, some books were used as fertiliser.”

She stated that the ritual, titled ‘Redonnons à la terre’ – ‘give back to the earth’ – sought “to make a gesture of openness and reconciliation by replacing books in our libraries that had outdated content and carried negative stereotypes about First Nations, Métis and Inuit people.”

The justification for the burning of books is that they contained “outdated content.” ‘Outdated’ is a favourite term of abuse hurled at opponents by zealous culture war activists. In their eyes, any publications – particularly history books – that promote the classical outlook of Western civilisation are ‘outdated’ and therefore convey views that constitute a form of secular blasphemy.

Now that the outdated books have turned to ash, the libraries can boast that the books on their shelves have “positive and inclusive messages about the diverse communities within our schools.”

It seems that the touchy-feely ethos of diversity and inclusiveness contains a brutal and authoritarian impulse towards cleansing the world of ideas with which it disagrees.

While doing research for my book, ‘The Power of Reading’, I was struck by the frequency with which morally insecure but zealous dogmatists have sought to rid the world of ideas they despised.

Ever since the invention of reading texts, those deemed to be subversive have been burnt or, in today’s language, put to the flame. In 411 BC, Athenians burnt the works of Pythagoras. The Roman Emperor Caligula decreed the burning of Homer’s ‘Iliad’ and ‘Odyssey’, and the poems of Virgil and Livy. Emperor Diocletian ordered all Christian books to be burnt in 303 AD – “so great was his fear of their challenge to his supremacy,” according to a ‘A History of Reading’ by Steve Roger Fischer.

Frequently, the burning of books was portrayed as an act of purification not unlike the “flame purification ceremony” in Ontario. This motif was very much in evidence during the notorious book-burning ceremonies in Nazi Germany. Purifying German culture of poisonous Jewish and other forms of ‘offensive’ views was the justification for these ghastly rituals.

To get a flavour of how advocates of book burning understand their mission, it is worth looking at an article titled ‘The Moral Revolt of Germany’s Youth’ published in ‘Current History’ in 1922.

The author of the article, Lilian Eagle, was thoroughly enthusiastic about the “moral crusade undertaken by the youthful reformers,” the German Jugendbewegung. She wrote, ‘‘The great revolution that followed the World War, instead of proving a cleansing storm, has developed more and more into an economic struggle, and as there is no one to protect the young from post-war vices and evils they are determined to do it themselves. Smoking and drinking are tabooed. Shops with unclean postcards and books are boycotted. Flaming protests against immoral performances in the theatres and cinemas are posted in all public places by these doughty champions of public morality.”

The article is illustrated by a photo captioned: “Berlin police burning wagon loads of trashy juvenile fiction which school teachers have collected in an effort to suppress the evils of bad literature.”

The German school teachers, who were busy collecting “bad literature” were motivated by censorious motives, not unlike members of the book-burning school board in present-day Ontario. Tragically, before too long, many of these book-burners in 1920s Germany would bear witness to the burning of human flesh in the death camps designed to purify the world of people that were deemed as toxic.

The burning of books is a despicable crime because its aim is to destroy and eradicate views and ideas that are deemed heretical. As the radical poet John Milton so eloquently noted, ‘‘He who destroys a good book, kills reason itself, kills the image of God, as it were in the eye.”

Watch out when book burning is associated with the ritual of purification. Ask yourself the question, “What will they cleanse next?” The history of book burning tells us that the burning of books is the first step towards the vilification and brutal punishment of those in the crosshairs of the book burners.

RT – Canadian school board halts BOOK BURNING project aimed at ‘reconciliation’ amid controversy over adviser’s native roots

A network of Francophone schools in Ontario has paused a project to burn or otherwise destroy over 4,700 books for misrepresentation of native people after the project’s adviser resigned amid claims she is not actually indigenous.

Ther Providence Catholic School Board has suspended the book-burning project – titled “Redonnons a la terre,” or “Give back to the earth,” and designed as a “gesture of openness and reconciliation” toward Canada’s indigenous population – after the practice was exposed by Radio Canada. Meanwhile, doubts have also been raised about the ethnic background of the controversial project’s main indigenous adviser. She subsequently resigned from her position in the Indigenous Peoples’ Commission of Canadian PM Justin Trudeau’s Liberal Party.

As part of the project, which started in 2019, a total of 4,716 books from several dozen schools were removed from library shelves. About 30 were burned, and it’s unclear how many others were already “recycled” or set for destruction by other means as board members reportedly feared outcry from parents and teachers.

The ashes of the burned books were used as fertilizer for trees planted by students, Lyne Cossette, the spokesperson for the board, told the National Post on Tuesday.

The practice was carried out under the guidance of indigenous “knowledge-keepers,” such as Suzy Kies, the co-chair of the Indigenous Peoples’ Commission.

The indigenous advisers were deeply involved in the project, Cossette explained to the Post, noting that the board had “formed a committee” and consulted with “many aboriginal knowledge-keepers and elders” at various stages of the process – “from the conceptualization to the evaluation of the books, to the tree-planting initiative.”

While defending the board’s methods, Cossette nonetheless acknowledged that some might have found the burning ritual disturbing. She lamented that school officials “did not intervene to ensure a more appropriate plan for the commemorative ceremony and that it was offensive to some members of the community.”

Kies, for her part, has justified casting books into the void for a variety of reasons, including an ‘offensive’ title alone. A 2011 book called ‘Cowboys and Indians’ was dumped for its “atrocious” name. Other books, including comics, novels and encyclopedias, were deemed to be “Eurocentric,” while some failed to differentiate between aboriginal cultures. Childrens’ comic books like ‘Asterix and the Indians’ and ‘Tintin in America’ have also been discarded. Some works were trashed for perpetuating unflattering stereotypes for native characters, who were portrayed as drunk or otherwise behaving badly, while others were tossed because indigenous people appeared shirtless in cover illustrations – considered a “false representation” of aboriginal culture.

A book might even fall into disfavor merely because the author does not hail from the same ethnic group that the book aims to describe. ‘Les Indiens’, published in 2000, was reportedly chucked because it had been written in France about Canadian aboriginals without any input from that community. And even when an author has aboriginal background, that does not ensure their books will escape the furnace, as Algonquin ethnologist and author Michel Noel’s book ‘Winter Indian’ was disposed of for supposedly racist language and “misinformation.”

The book-burning story took an unexpected twist on Wednesday, with Radio Canada reporting that Kies might have not had the aboriginal roots she claimed to have. While Kies claimed that one of her parents was of aboriginal origin and one of European origin, the outlet cited civil status records suggesting that her father was born in Luxembourg and her mother was French.

Dominique Ritchot, a genealogical researcher cited by Radio Canada, concluded the “knowledge keeper” had “no aboriginal ancestors for at least seven generations.”

The revelation might have saved some 200 books that were still “under evaluation” in the burning initiative, with Cossette telling Radio Canada that the whole “Give back to the earth” project was halted.

“We are deeply troubled and worried… We were confident that Suzy Kies was of aboriginal descent… We had relied on her word,” Cossette said in an email.

Shortly after the report came out, Kies announced her resignation from the party commission. She dismissed any question over her indiginous heritage, however, insisting that the only reason for her departure was to protect Trudeau and the Liberal Party.

Even before doubts about Kies’ background crept in, political leaders, including Canadian PM Justin Trudeau and Conservative leader Erin O’Toole, condemned the Ontario school board’s biblio-pyromania, with Trudeau saying he “would never agree to the burning of books.”

  16. Austrian Top Secret report reveals: The mosques in Vienna and Graz are more extreme than initially assumed

In the heart of Vienna and Graz, the networks of the Islamic League Culture are presumably radical. A top-secret study by the Documentation Centre for Political Islam aims to prove this and concludes that the organisation can be considered part of the radical Muslim Brotherhood.

For years, all parties involved – both the Muslim Brotherhood and the Islamic League Culture – have denied their mutual links. But the authors of the study come to completely different conclusions.

By researching public sources, the researchers targeted leading actors of the League – who run at least one clubhouse and mosque in Graz and one association in Vienna – and uncovered obvious links with the Muslim Brotherhood, which is classified as an extremist organisation. The list of invitations to events, training courses and lectures, most of which are held in Arabic, certainly speaks for itself. In the period under investigation from 2005 to 2015, most of the speakers were Muslim Brotherhood leaders, mainly from Germany and Egypt.

The extremist preacher Wagdi Ghonim was also invited for a series of lectures in 2005. The Egyptian (subject to numerous bans on entering the country) is considered a fanatic of the terrorist organisation Hamas and does not want to clearly distance himself from the Islamic State (IS). Even if one denies it, the authors say, the proximity to the Muslim Brotherhood is obvious.

The explosive fact is that all the pictures and postings used in the study have since been deleted from all social networks.

Did the U.S. study the lessons Israel learned from evacuating from Southern Lebanon and Gaza?

The hasty and disastrous U.S. exit from Afghanistan before the deadline of August 31, 2021, was in compliance with the Taliban’s demand. It did not spare America from a terrorist attack that killed 13 U.S. Marines, and hundreds of Afghan civilians. Moreover, it left hundreds of American citizens behind who now will be either killed or used as hostages. Beyond the human tragedy, there is the material waste of an estimated $90 billion in sophisticated U.S. equipment. It includes 73 aircraft, mostly helicopters, 70 MRAPs (Mine Resistant Protected Vehicles), built to withstand blasts from IEDs (Improvised Explosive Devices), 27 Humvees, etc.

Some in the mainstream U.S. media have expressed hope that the current takeover of Afghanistan by the Taliban will be different this time around — that, unlike the takeover of power in 1996, the Taliban will be wiser in 2021, and won’t resort to the same intolerant and destructive behavior it displayed in 2001. Just prior to the U.S. invasion, the Taliban destroyed the ancient statues of Buddhas in Bamiyan. They also oppressed women and forbade the schooling of girls.

There are clear similarities between the Sunni-Muslim radical Taliban movement and the Sunni-Muslim Palestinian terrorist group Hamas ruling over the Gaza Strip. Aside from their mutual intolerance toward non-Muslims, both Hamas and the Taliban view democracy, liberty, and women’s rights with disdain. Conversely, Israel and the U.S. share

Officials received curt letters, with one dated today saying, “Please submit your resignation to me by the close of business today. Should we not receive your resignation, your position with the Board will be terminated effective 6:00 pm tonight. Thank you.”

The removals range from military service academies to highly credentialed experts at obscure entities where politics are unlikely to be an issue.

Thomas Emanuel Dans, a member of the Arctic Research Commission whose term expires in 2023, told The Daily Wire that last Thursday, he received an abrupt email requesting he deliver his immediate resignation or be terminated later that afternoon.

“The argument from the White House is that I lack relevant expertise and an extensive knowledge of the Arctic. Well, I’m not sure what to say. I’ve only been doing finance and investment in the region for three decades… I speak fluent Russian, the language of the largest Arctic country in the world. In fact, I may be the only Commissioner in 37 years who ever has,” he said.

Four Gitmo Terrorists Swapped by Obama Join Taliban Government Set to Launch on 9/11 Anniversary
    5-6 minutes

It will be 20 years since the deadliest terror attack on American soil will have been carried out. Two planes crashed into the World Trade Center buildings in Manhattan, another hurtled into the Pentagon, and the hijacked United Airlines Flight 93 was taken down by brave passengers. It would kill at least 2,977 civilians and scar the psyche of a nation.

The 9/11 attacks gave rise to the two costly U.S. military conflicts in the Middle East: The Iraq War, and the War in Afghanistan. The military conflict in Afghanistan became the ill-fated longest war in American history. Now that the U.S. has conducted an abrupt military withdrawal after two decades of fighting, the disastrous consequences are just beginning.

Islamic terrorists who were once held in Gitmo are going to be joining the newly forming Taliban government. The New York Post reported on the development.

“Four of the five Taliban members released from Guantanamo Bay by the Obama administration in 2014 in exchange for admitted US Army deserter Bowe Bergdahl are part of the Islamic fundamentalist group’s new hardline government in Afghanistan,” the Post reported, citing local media reports.

    Iran’s Nuclear Weapons Weeks Away

From the perspective of Iran’s mullahs, US President Joe Biden’s desperate efforts to resurrect the nuclear deal manifested his weak leadership and therefore a delectable opportunity for Tehran to buy time, get more concessions, advance its nuclear program and become a nuclear state. (Image source: iStock)

Since the Biden administration assumed office, the nuclear talks with Iran have gone nowhere. Six rounds of negotiations have been concluded with no results. In contrast, two other issues have gone too far: the Biden administration’s appeasement policies towards the Iranian regime, and the advancement of the mullahs’ nuclear program.

When the Biden administration took office, it announced that it would curb Iran’s nuclear program by returning to the 2015 nuclear deal — known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), which by the way Iran never signed — and by subsequently lifting sanctions against the Iranian government.

  25. Border Patrol Cancels Joe Biden’s Order – They Execute Supreme Court Ruling, Send Border Hoppers Back

Joe Biden ensured our border’s collapse when he eliminated Trump’s policies. But the Supreme Court ruled against Biden, reinstating one major border rule.

Even with the Supreme Court making the decision, we don’t know if Biden is complying.

It seems, though, that we won’t need Biden’s approval. Because Border Patrol is already following through.

    George Soros Moves Against China

(ConservativeInsider.org) – Even the Left’s most radical investors acknowledge that funding Chinese enterprises is not in our nation’s best interest. In a bold statement, investor and philanthropist George Soros, who Americans know for his substantial support of the Democratic Party, called out an enormous asset management company for its new initiative investing in Chinese companies.

On Monday, September 6, Soros published an opinion piece with the Wall Street Journal, criticizing Blackrock, the world’s largest asset manager, for its newly released China-based mutual fund and investing program. This program came shortly after the investment firm encouraged its clients to triple their investments in Chinese assets.
