Arizona tests the US constitution’s actual degree of relevance: Links 2, September 8, 2021

A quick note before we get into the links and stories.

A source close to this site contacted us and explained that they had seen a document from CSIS whereby it was determined that any protest for freedom or basic individual rights that takes place within Canada was to be referred to as “Neo-Nazi, Racist, white supremacist, anti-government’ etc.” That the official narrative by Canada’s rough equivalent of the FBI is to look at all objections to the vice like suppression of all basic liberties including mandating experimental vaccines for all Canadians, was to be viewed as a Nazi movement.

Just in case anyone thinks this whole thing is about science or medicine. And also this should come as no surprise as we heard Trudeau and I think it was Jason Kenney use this exact language to describe protests against lock downs and mandates widely reported on all MSM news, who continue to sprinkle this kind of language on any resistance to what in the opinion of this site, is a bona fide communist/fascist revolution.

1. Arizona Attorney General: COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate for City Employees Is Unconstitutional

(And now we find out if the US constitution is actually in play anymore)

COVID-19 vaccine mandate that was handed down by the Tucson government for its employees was deemed unconstitutional by Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich’s office, according to a Tuesday news release.

The mandate, he said, violates state law and goes directly against a law—Senate Bill 1487—passed by the Arizona Legislature earlier this year, meaning Tuscon must amend or repeal the ordinance or lose state funding. The law bars local and state government entities from imposing COVID-19 mandates on employees, although it does not go into effect until Sept. 29, creating what Brnovich described as a loophole that was exploited by Tucson’s government.

“The Legislature’s intent was clear when it passed S.B. 1824 earlier this year—government entities from the local to state level cannot mandate COVID-19 vaccines,” said his office, adding that the “City of Tucson could subject itself to potential liability claims if it were to take adverse action against an employee who relies on” the state law or an executive order handed down by Gov. Doug Ducey (R-Ariz.) to refuse the vaccine.

3. The Ronacoaster, Once You Get in the Vaccine Car You Ain’t Getting Off Until The Ride’s Over

For several months I have been dispassionately following multiple data-streams about the SARS-CoV-2 virus, aka COVID-19, the vaccinations and the variants.  Just following data; just following discussions of data; just looking at public statements by those who generate information about the data.  All of it from a generally ambivalent position, willing to hear, review, contemplate and give consideration to any possibility.

? Should I get Vaccinated? – Like a bubble on a level, the outcome of analysis sometimes goes in one direction, sometimes goes in the other.  However, for approximately 8 weeks the level has tilted.  While there is still a possibility something drastic might change the big picture outcome, the weight of the data is only going in one direction now.

A recent public release from the Los Angeles County Public Health department [link here] is yet another data-point in an assembly of larger data-points, but it is time to accept that alternative data-points are not likely to tilt the analytical level back in the pro-jab direction.   It seems innocuous, but look at the highlight within the statement:

For those who have not seen it, now is a good time to read this excellent report on how Brazil’s Supreme Court is trying to disenfranchise President Bolsonaro and replace him with a communist and convicted felon.

5. Tucson Pauses COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate After Arizona Attorney General Deems It Illegal

The city of Tucson, Arizona, has paused a mandate that ordered employees to get a COVID-19 vaccine or face five days of suspension and other discipline.

The state’s attorney general, Mark Brnovich, said on Sept. 7 that the mandate, imposed last month, is illegal because it violates an executive order by Gov. Doug Ducey earlier this year, in addition to a state law that is set to go into effect later this month.

Brnovich warned Tucson officials that unless the mandate was rescinded, he would proceed with directing the state treasurer to withhold the city’s portion of state shared revenue until officials halted the policy.

The revenue for the current fiscal year was estimated at more than $175 million by the Arizona League of Cities and Towns.

Tucson officials, in statements released by the city, criticized the finding by Brnovich’s office but said they’ll pause the policy, at least for now.
