  1. He’s so right about the architecture!

    Whatever residential buildings we now see are all similar, may it be four units or multi-units, they have no soul. The ‘In’ color is dark brown and black. They’re all the same and destroy the personality of residential neighborhoods.

    And what to say about the interior painting of apartments and condos? Tones of grey because it’s the color ‘du jour’. Who can live in that?

    I visited East Berlin two years after the Wall came down. I’ll never forget the bullet holes on every building, loads everywhere up to 8′ high and wall-to-wall, and I thought never ever cover them up. That made a deep impression on me.
