Reader’s Links for July 17, 2021

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

  2. Democrats’ new M.O.: Accuse GOP of saying or doing something the Dems have been accused of
By Howard Portnoy July 16, 2021

The Democrats have developed a new underhanded strategy for fighting their political battles that’s actually very old. It goes like this: If a position that you back, either overtly or tacitly, loses the support of the voting public, you don’t just deny having ever embraced it. Instead, you claim that it originated with Republicans.

We saw this with regard to the defund the police movement, which began as cries and signs carried by protesters in Minneapolis following the death of George Floyd. The Democrat-run city council was so taken with the rightness of the idea that it passed legislation that would strip the department of funding. Just yesterday, another city, Chicago, announced it would be sending psychiatric social workers on 911 calls instead of police. In Washington, D.C. the “Squad” and other members of Congress became proponents of the movement as well.

But as enthusiasm for the half-backed idea dwindled, the party began to fear that support for it could damage their brand in next year’s midterm election, So last the White House mounted a counteroffensive, claiming that Republicans were the ones tying to defund the police.

    • Back around the turn of the Century there were reports/rumors of some of the old White Military officials making a deal with the Zulu’s to hide weapons and ammo for when the White Genocide started. Looks like we are in a good position to find out if those rumors were correct.

  4. July 16 2021 Syrian asylum seeker in the Netherlands convicted of war crimes
A 49-year-old Syrian asylum seeker has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for his involvement in the shooting of a Syrian government official in 2012. Ahmad Al K. did not deny that the person seen in a series of videos of the execution was him, but said that he intentionally misfired in an effort to save the man’s life. The district court in The Hague, however, was unconvinced. “‘The execution shows a disregard for fundamental basic norms that apply during armed conflict,’ the presiding judge said on Friday. Al K. moved to the Netherlands in 2016 and settled in Kapelle in Zeeland with his wife and children. His name surfaced during an investigation into Syrian war criminals in Germany. The authorities there alerted the Dutch police to a series of videos posted to YouTube showing a handcuffed man being led to a riverbank and then shot repeatedly.
Several Syrian asylum seekers have been charged with crimes, or have been tried, under the Netherlands’ universal jurisdiction law, which allows Dutch authorities to prosecute war crimes and genocide, regardless of where they took place. Two cousins were convicted in 2017 of belonging to a terrorist organisation, a crime Al K. was also charged with. However the court held there wasn’t enough evidence to convict him on that charge. Another man is facing charges for abusing the bodies of dead soldiers. The public prosecution service had asked for Al K. to be given a 26-year sentence, but the judges agreed to 20, the second-longest ever given in such a case. An Ethiopian man was given life in prison, extremely rare in the Dutch criminal system, for his role in the mass murder of 75 people during Ethiopia’s ‘red terror’ purges in the 1970s.

  5. Trudeau told Canadians along time ago “In an era of rising intolerance and MISINFORMATION as out migrants, Canadians have a responsibility t9 engage in a positive and thoughtful way”.

Now when we have some Canadians saying the unvaccinated should be rounded up, not allowed to go out, need to wear a mask, should he not speak of an era of rising intolerance and misinformation his own Government is promoting, should he not show some responsibility and engage in a positive and thoughtful way instead of creating more divisions?

    President Biden:

For six decades, the U.S. government’s position has been that regime change in Cuba must come from within.

And, at this very moment, it is.

A new generation of brave Cubans, born and raised under the Castro brothers’ dictatorship, has taken a historic first step, staging massive demonstrations from one end of the island to the other.

When was the last time Cuba saw thousands of people, reportedly in some 60 cities, on the streets clamoring, as you astutely said, for freedom?

  7. Biden calls DACA ruling ‘deeply disappointing,’ urges Congress to pass citizenship path

President Biden on Saturday called a federal court ruling that put a halt to the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program “deeply disappointing” and again urged Congress to pass legislation that would grant illegal immigrants protected from deportation under the program a pathway to citizenship.

“Yesterday’s Federal court ruling is deeply disappointing,” Biden said in a statement. “While the court’s order does not now affect current DACA recipients, this decision nonetheless relegates hundreds of thousands of young immigrants to an uncertain future.”

Judge Andrew Hanen, a Texas judge, on Friday ordered the Biden administration to stop all applications for DACA, ruling that the Obama-era program was illegal.

  8. Facebook Board Member: Free Speech is ‘Not an Absolute Human Right’ by Landon Mion

A Facebook Oversight Board member said that free speech is not “an absolute” right and should be weighed against “other human rights” when determining if content should be censored by the tech giant.

Board member Helle Thorning Schmidt, who is also a former Danish Prime Minister, said Thursday that “free speech is not an absolute human right.”

“It has to be balanced with other human rights,” she said.

The Facebook Oversight Board, which consists of 20 members from around the world, was created last year to help corporate executives to distance themselves from decisions considered to be politically.

  9. Legal Group Launches Effort to Learn About Biden Administration’s Coordination With Big Tech

A legal group is seeking information on the extent of the Biden administration’s coordination with Big Tech after White House officials this week said they were in regular communication with the companies.

America First Legal, run by former Trump administration officials, filed on Friday a flurry of Freedom of Information Act requests seeking details on U.S. government agency communications relating to the current administration’s effort to push Big Tech to censor speech.

  10. (Richard: The Constitution is clear on how a President or Administration can be removed from office, once the new President is sworn in he/she can be removed by 1) Death (the VP becomes President), 2) Mental Incompetence (The VP becomes President) 3) Impeachment. While this news goes a long way towards proving Biden is an illegitimate President the only way to remove his is by the three methods mentioned above. So a new election is not legally possible, also we would need at least one more of the Swing States to shift their electoral votes to make Biden illegitimate. If all of the Swing States do an audit between now and the 2022 off year election and the Republicans would have to make a clean sweep this would give them 64 seats in the Senate, 67 are needed to remove a President from office. Since not all of the Repubs would vote to remove him this would mean that a minimum of 6 Dems would have to decide to vote to remove him. This isn’t going to happen. The best we can hope for is enough seats in the House and the Senate to block all of the radical communist policies of the Biden/Obama administration and a massive turn out in 2024 (where hopefully enough states will have enacted voter integrity laws to ensure an honest election) and the election of a Republican President and Congress.)

Breaking: Arizona State Senator Demands Biden Electors be Recalled to Arizona and New Election Held Following Thursday’s Stunning Audit Revelations

Earlier today the Arizona Senate held a hearing on the ongoing Maricopa County forensic audit.

The audit team announced there were 74,000 ballots that were received and included in the 2020 Election in Maricopa County than were mailed out.
The Cyber Ninjas CEO reported this along with other issues already identified from their investigation

They found 74,243 mail-in ballots with NO clear record of them ever being sent!

The audit team also announced that ballots were counted that WERE NOT on the proper paper stock and WERE NOT in proper printing alignment.
Other ballots were marked with Sharpie pens that bled through the paper.

    • (Richard: This makes two of the Swing States, now to see how many more will show the massive vote fraud? It is unlikely that this will cause the removal of Biden but by more states showing massive vote fraud we can keep this in front of the voters and win big in 2022 and 2024. It won’t be fast but it will be as fast as we can legally move., remember we have to ensure that all of our moves are legal if we want to draw more people to our side. The Dems overplayed their hands when they used the massive vote fraud and are now facing the destruction of their party and the slow return to what the founding fathers wanted.)

In the months following the 2020 election, the state of Georgia made headlines for its razor-thin election results, as well as some dubious practices that called those results into question.

In an attempt to quell those fears, Georgia initiated both an audit and a statewide recount of the election results. In both cases, officials said the results confirmed now-President Joe Biden’s victory.

Yet, according to a report Friday in The Federalist by senior contributor Margot Cleveland, Georgia was still the scene of violations of “various legislative mandates designed to prevent fraud and to ensure the integrity of the vote.”

First, Georgia has a law requiring residents to cast their vote in the county where they reside unless they changed their residence during the 30 days directly prior to the election.

  11. (Richard: Doesn’t anyone pay attention to world affairs and the goals ot the Dems? The Democrat leaders want to destroy the US, the Red States seceding would do just that, then our over seas enemies would invade. Instead of picking up our ball and running home like a spoiled brat we need to stay and fight to regain the freedom of all Americans. We need to fight to preserve the Union/Republic. We need to fight to remain strong to remain the champion of freedom around the world. DON’T DO THE DEMOCRATS WORK FOR THEM, DON’T DESTROY THE US.)

Two in three Republicans in the South and almost half of Democrats in Pacific states want to secede from the Union, according to a new poll.
