Reader’s Links for June 3, 2021

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

    • The first Constitutional Convention was tasked with Amending the Articles of Confederation OR writing a new Constitution. They were not a run away convention,

This historical point is ignored by the people who are afraid of the Article V Convention of the States. Just as the fact that in a Convention of the States each state has one vote, the can send multiple delegates but each state gets just one vote. Second Two Thirds of the States have to vote to adopt an Amendment. Then once it is voted out of the Convention two thirds of the State Legislatures have to vote to adopt the amendment.

Those are the Safe Guards to keep us free, I don’t know if there is still time for an Article V Convention to restore our rights or if it will take a kinetic revolution to restore them. I do know the Convention of the States is some thing we need to try.

  1. “Forcing care home staff to get vaccinated against Covid is ‘reasonable’, the UK’s human rights watchdog has ruled.

The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) gave its blessing for the policy which is being considered by ministers.

Health Secretary Matt Hancock confirmed in April that the Government would look at making vaccines mandatory because it was concerned that uptake was below average despite it being especially important because residents are so high-risk.

There were concerns about whether it was ethical to force anyone to get a vaccine but the EHRC said it was ‘right to prioritise protection of the right to life’.”

    • It would be far more sensible to ensure that all patients under care had adequate Vit D levels as I bet most do NOT have. But something that simple drowns in the woke politics and the real intentions behind the mRNA job.
Politics and Polluted Law are NOT replacements for proper intelligent health care.

  2. M hard to feel anything but contempt for such fools who have no real idea of their own history and whose human incompetence makes it so necessary to have a scapegoat. I find it so funny that such blatant racism is totally ignored by the MSM but then when BLM killed the white woman who help up the “All Lives Matter” sign they made their point clear , certainly to me.

Some shocking footage emerged at an alleged “black power” rally in Tulsa over the weekend. Hundreds of black men and women dressed in black gathered there for the National Black Power Convention over the weekend, listening to speakers discuss black nationalism and white supremacy. An armed march through the city was also staged to nearly coincide with the 100th anniversary of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre. Members of the New Black Panther Party participated in the march.

Quote of the Day: ‘Kill everything white in sight’
We’re pushing death to white supremacy, death to capitalism, death to imperialism, and death to fascism. We’re pushing an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, a head for a head, and a life for a life. White supremacists bust us upside the head and drug us over here to pick cotton, so they can get rich, so they can get wealthy, but I would like to tell you, even though you are not in Africa, Africa was born in you. Africa was born in you! This is a powerful historical event, we must not let it stop right there. We must push deeply into the so-called black-on-black violence, the community violence, the fear, the self-hatred, which pits us to fight each other, which pits us to gang bang. We must go into our hood. Not outside the hood — the real hood — [unintelligable] and teach those Bloods, teach those Crips, that they start a revolution there. You must understand that. They put us through vicious suffering, vicious oppression. And when we defend ourself, once they die, we must understand that we can never give them the pain that they gave us. Once they are buried, we must bury them, dig them up, and kill them again. Bury ’em, dig ’em up, and kill ’em again.

Another speaker with a megaphone said, “When that time’s comin’ to ‘rat-a-tat-tat, then black people will kill everything white in sight because of all what you’ve done to us, all of what you’ve done in the 6,000-year span and killing 600 million of us and 408 years in particular, and a 150 million in the past.

    • Yes the left is working hard to foment a race war, a war that they can’t win.

It’s going to get nasty in the coming years.

  3. Why don’t our prolific fascist narrative scribes simply concoct away the alien threat by saying the invaders from Planet X have decided not to enslave Earth because they are afraid of the Wuhan virus. This will simultaneously promote more desired fear of the the virus in the Earthling population, while creating confidence that this alien threat can be defeated. Imagine the heroism of our woke leaders to be painted by such a story. Imagine the glory, Dear Leader. Yes, you against the universe. You can be our super hero. You fight, and you win, you told your wife on a hot mic. Well here is your chance to show her again. After all, the composers of our narratives have now proven to themselves that any story, no matter how ridiculous, is possible with a controlled MSM, and compromised people in high places. I wonder of Tony (Baloney) Fauci ever went to Epstein’s island?

    • He might not have gone there but if he goes to trial and he opens his mouth or threatens to so do, he will join him in “woke”(see “assisted”) suicide.

    • I doubt that it will make HCQ but it will be a solution of quinine and beggars cannot be choosers. I have no idea as to why HCQ replaced Q as a medication but it may be more efficacious, more stable or more easily packaged. But that is no reason to ignore quinine if no HCQ. I really do not care what anyone says as I have personally grabbed at straws when drowning and this is far from that.

    • Its a kind of half truth I suspect.

HCQ works on 2 levels. It is itself an antiviral, but it also acts as a Zinc ionophor. In other words, it allows zinc to enter a cell and stop viral reproduction.

There is another over the counter product that works that particular way, as a Zinc ionophor, called, Quercetin. This can be purchased at Costco for not much at all.

The grapefruit peel recipe most likely allows you to make a crude homemade quercetin. that makes sense as quercetin is from citrus. And it is a zinc ionophor, but not HCQ which is from another plant.

So its a half truth. But if you can’t get the real meds, which is nearly impossible now, get quercetin and also tonic water and both + zinc.

      • Interesting that, I just discovered that you can prescribe Ivermectin and hydroxychloroquin in Oz but NOT for Cv 19 (but for scabies and malaria/rheumatoid arthritis).
I think that a class action against any health department, who forbade their use, by relatives who have lost a loved one from Cv19 in the absence of these medications might be a possibility here. At least the notice of such might make them think twice and wake up. I have a letter which I will post below about such.

        • Not about a potential class action but the first official note about prescribing.
I bet that the average “meth” lab could make this by the ton.

          Prescribing Hydroxychloroquine for COVID-19
          Saturday, 21 March 2020

          Open letter to Prescribers
As the National President of the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia (PSA) representing Australia’s 32,000 Pharmacists, we are providing this open letter to all Australian prescribers regarding the Prescribing hydroxychloroquine for COVID-19.

On the background of some promising data showing the effectiveness of hydroxychloroquine for the treatment of COVID-19 and with President Trump’s announcement yesterday, 20 March 2020, that the drug hydroxychloroquine may support the care of patients affected by COVID-19, Australian community pharmacies have seen unprecedented demand for the drug.

PSA is receiving reports from Australian pharmacists that they are receiving prescriptions from: doctors prescribing for other doctors and their families; as well as dentists prescribing to the community and their families; Non-medical prescribers prescribing bulk amounts of the drug. If this medication does indeed have the efficacy that we would desire against COVID-19 then it needs to be prescribed and used judiciously. The stock of this medication needs to be managed effectively and utilised for those who may genuinely need it.

Our strong advice to pharmacists at this point in time, until further advice is available, is to refuse the dispensing of hydroxychloroquine if there is not a genuine need, and that need is for those indications for what it is approved for – inflammatory conditions or the suppression and treatment of malaria The current stock of hydroxychloroquine needs to be managed sensibly, it needs to be available for those who are currently being prescribed this medicine, and it may also be needed for treatment of COVID-19 in the future. We are urging pharmacists to manage their existing stock if they have it sensibly, ensuring those who are currently prescribed the medicine have an existing supply.

PSA will continue to work with the Minister for Health and the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) with regards to the appropriate management of national stockpiles and medicines stock in Australia. PSA would like to keep safe any stock of hydroxychloroquine held in local pharmacies – so it is available to treat patients who genuinely need this medicine. The only way this is possible is for prescribers to not write prescriptions for this medicine as a ‘just in case’ measure and for pharmacists to refuse the supply outside of these indications at this point in time.

While the data may not yet be clear, if hydroxychloroquine is shown to be effective for COVID-19, we want every dose available to treat those who may require it.
          Yours sincerely,
          Associate Professor Chris Freeman
          PSA National President

Progressives seek to criminalize small businesses while decriminalizing actual theft

    Share Tweet Flip

Progressive “reform” prosecutors want more criminal prosecutions of businesses for red-tape violations and so-called “wage theft,” and fewer felony prosecutions of criminals for stealing from businesses and homeowners (such as shoplifting, which some progressive prosecutors have essentially stopped prosecuting, resulting in an explosion of shoplifting).

Prosecuting “wage theft” was one of the campaign planks of Arlington, Va. Commonwealth’s Attorney Parisa Dehghani-Tafti, a progressive Democrat who unseated a moderate Democrat incumbent in the 2019 primary election. In her campaign, she said she wanted to prioritize prosecuting “wage theft,” even while complaining that Arlington prosecuted felonies at a much higher rate than neighboring jurisdictions like Alexandria. She also called for more use of “restorative justice” as a response to crimes committed by people with social or economic disadvantages.

But what does “wage theft” mean? In practice, good-faith disputes about how to classify employees, or whether to include employee lunch time as compensable, could easily end up being prosecuted as “wage theft,” if state law is expanded to criminalize more instances of “wage theft” as progressive legislators seek to do.

Walter Olson writes about progressive proposals to jail business owners for inadvertent violations of workplace regulations, in today’s Wall Street Journal:

    • There is an important lesson Communists learned from the slightly different application of Socialism in Czechoslovakia vs Hungary and Poland: in Hungary and Poland, the suppression of small farms and tiny businesses was not 100%, so people black listed from employment by the government could still find a way to make a living.

In Czechoslovakia, no small businesses or farms were left. If one got on the employment black list, there was absolutely no way one could earn a wage.

And since there was no unemployment/welfare, and since The Law said that everyone had a RIGHT to a job (so the only people without a job were those who did not want one), if one was living without a job, it meant that they were ‘living off the profits of crime’ – which was sufficient to prove in court that they were a criminal.

And criminals have to be locked up…

This is what almost happened to my father.

He was black listed and could not be employed. But, my mother had a job and had some influential protectors, so she did not lose it. So, my dad was living by being supported by my mom, and they could not prove criminality.

So, they put incredible pressure (using me as a pawn, threat of taking me away and such from such a politically dangerous influence as my father) on my mother to divorce my father, so they could lock him up. To her credit, my mother dug her heels in and did not.

Eventually, my dad managed to get a job in the Uranium mines – yeay, fun!

But, make no mistake – the reason small businesses are being systematically destroyed is precisely to prevent ‘politically problematic’ people from being able to find employment. Big businesses and government can collude to exclude them, and if there are no small businesses that can act independently, then people will think very, very carefully before they say or do anything that could get them black listed.

    By Andrew Kerr

An infectious disease expert emailed Dr. Anthony Fauci in late January 2020 informing him that a small part of COVID-19 “potentially” looked engineered.

“The unusual features of the virus make up a really small part of the genome (<0.1%) so one has to look really closely at all the sequences to see that some of the features (potentially) look engineered,” the expert, Kristian Andersen, wrote Fauci on Jan. 31, 2020, according to an email obtained by BuzzFeed News as part of a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit.

  9. Summit News – Former MI6 Head Warns China Will Have Had Lab Leak Evidence “Destroyed Or Made To Disappear”

“The thorough biochemical analysis puts the weight of evidence to this being a man-made lab experiment, a natural virus that has been enhanced”

The former head of British intelligence agency MI6, who previously said he believes the coronavirus outbreak originated from a lab leak in Wuhan, has warned that it may be too late now to hold the communist state accountable because it will have probably destroyed all the evidence.

Speaking on a London Telegraph podcast, Sir Richard Dearlove lamented that the paper trail of ‘gain of function’ research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology will likely be gone now.

“We don’t know that’s what’s happened, but a lot of data has probably been destroyed or made to disappear so it’s going to be difficult to prove definitely the case for a gain-of-function chimera being the cause of the pandemic,” Dearlove noted.

Dearlove, who served as head of Britain’s foreign intelligence for five years in the early 2000’s, added that China has worked relentlessly to silence scientists who tried to warn the rest of the world.

“The People’s Republic of China is a pretty terrifying regime and does some things we consider unacceptable, and extreme in silencing opposition to the official line of the government,” he said.

Over a year ago, Dearlove was citing scientific research by Professor Angus Dalgleish of St George’s Hospital, University of London and Norwegian virologist Birger Sorensen which presents evidence suggesting the virus was manufactured in a laboratory.

As the scientists recently noted, they were ostracised and ignored until recently.

“This is why scientific analysis is now so important because although that can’t prove the case 100 per cent, the thorough biochemical analysis puts the weight of evidence to this being a man-made lab experiment, a natural virus that has been enhanced,” Dearlove explained.

Referring to the renewed focus on the lab leak theory, Dearlove noted that “The whole argument has shifted and I’m pretty sure in my own mind that the US must have material which has accelerated this development.”

“China was originally let off the hook. I think the problem was the style of the Trump regime, a lot of people understandably found it hard to go along with his more outlandish allegations,” Dearlove continued, adding that “In the end it’s going to boil down to scientific evidence because the data is no longer available, unless some courageous Chinese individual, probably a scientist, comes forward.”

Dearlove concluded that “We have been through a period of extraordinary nativete in our relationship with China,” adding that he has been “staggered the sheer naivete” of Western leaders believing they could “develop a relationship with China without understanding they were dealing with a communist dictatorship.”

The former MI6 chief also asserted that the World Health Organisation should not be investigating the origin of the pandemic, given its track record over the past year.

“The WHO looks like a lost cause and that should not be the agency to deliver material which gives us a clear understanding of what the hell happened,” Dearlove emphasised, adding “The WHO report was farcical and it’s clear now they are losing control of the narrative.”

Dearlove’s comments highlight how vital it was to China that tech companies and the establishment media censored information on the lab leak for a year, at the behest of the likes of the World Health Organisation and Dr Anthony Fauci.

Those self appointed arbiters of truth may have enabled the biggest cover up in in a generation.

  13. Denmark: Protesters rally against expulsion of Syrian refugees

Dozens of protesters held a sit-in on Thursday in Copenhagen, for the third consecutive week, against measures taken by the government which is leading to the expulsion of Syrian refugees.

The decisions regarding expulsions are based on a report that declared the area surrounding Damascus to be safe.

The organizers of the sit-in, the Syrian Association in Denmark, demanded that the Danish authorities cancel ‘all threats about sending us back,’ emphasising that Syria remains unsafe for refugees to return.

Denmark does not formally recognize the government of Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad, who also controls the majority of the area surrounding Damascus. “They said that they don’t have a relationship with the government there, and they don’t have an embassy and ambassador there. How can they send us [back],” stated one Syrian protester.

The Danish government is, so far, the only EU member state that made the decision to cancel the residency permits of Syrians who came from the greater Damascus region, having taken the decision back in April. The majority of the report’s contributors, which the decision was based on, have reportedly retracted their assessment.

  14. the guardian – Thirteen on trial over online threats to French teen who insulted Islam

Social media rants by 16-year-old named Mila fuelled debate about right to offend people’s religious beliefs

Thirteen people have gone on trial in France charged with online harassment, including death threats, against a teenage girl who was placed under police protection after posting anti-Islam rants on social media.

The girl, named only as Mila, was forced to change schools over her expletive-laden videos, and the episode fuelled a debate about the right to offend people’s religious beliefs.

“The Qur’an is filled with nothing but hate, Islam is a shitty religion,” the teen said in the first post on Instagram in January 2020. She was 16 at the time.

She posted a second video in November, this time on TikTok, after the jihadist killing of the secondary school teacher Samuel Paty, who had shown students controversial cartoons of the prophet Muhammad.

The reactions to the video lambasting “your mate Allah” were swift and virulent.

“You deserve to have your throat cut,” read one, while another warned; “I’m going to do you like Samuel Paty.”

Mila was placed under police protection along with her family in Villefontaine, a town outside Lyon in south-east France.

Her lawyer, Richard Malka, told the court that she had “received more than 100,000 hateful messages and death threats promising to have her trussed up, cut up, quartered, beheaded, with images of coffins or doctored pictures of her decapitation”.

He said: “I cannot believe that these 13 people who have all been through our education system do not know that criticising religions is legal and has nothing to do with racism.”

[…]Mila, whose criticism of Islam has endeared her to the right as well as champions of free speech, is to publish a book this month recounting her experience, titled I’m Paying the Price for Your Freedom.

DAILY MAIL – Mass trial of 13 people begins in Paris over death threats sent to French teenager who sparked outrage by saying ‘Islam is a s**t religion’

Thirteen face jail time, hefty fines, if found guilty of harassing the French teen
Alleged harassment came after Mila, 16, posted a viral video calling Islam ‘s***t’
She faced a fierce backlash for saying the Koran is ‘full of hate’ on Instagram
President Macron defended Mila, said French laws allow for blasphemy, criticism
Defence lawyers claim the 13 are unfairly taking the rap for the online comments

The mass trial of 13 people over death threats sent to a teenage girl after she called Islam a ‘s**t religion’ in a viral video started in Paris on Thursday.

The teenage girl, identified only as Mila, was placed under police protection with her family and forced to change school following the threats.

The case sparked outrage and renewed calls to uphold free-speech rights after the 16-year-old was subjected to a torrent of abuse on social media after her expletive-laden videos went viral last year.

‘The Koran is filled with nothing but hate, Islam is a s***y religion,’ Mila said in a post on Instagram in January 2020.

She made no statement as she entered the courtroom Thursday under a flurry of press camera flashes.

Her lawyer Richard Malka told the court that she ‘received more than 100,000 hateful messages and death threats promising to have her trussed up, cut up, quartered, beheaded, with images of coffins or doctored pictures of her decapitation.’

‘I cannot believe that these 13 people who have all been through our education system do not know that criticising religions is legal and has nothing to do with racism,’ he said.

Mila had also appeared on a French TV programme following her viral video to say she ‘does not regret’ her comments.

In the show Quotidien aired in February 2020, Mila defended her right to her strong atheist convictions during the interview.

She told host Yann Barhes: ‘I absolutely do not regret what I said, that it was really what I thought…

‘I would still like to say that in some way I am a little bit sorry towards the people who I might have hurt who practise their religion in peace, and I never wanted to target human beings.

‘I simply wanted to… blaspheme… I wanted to talk about a religion, and say what I thought about it, and that’s all.’
