Reader’s Links for May 24, 2021

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

  2. Yesterday’s story in London, UK where BLM activist leader Sasha Johnson was shot in the head at a party (now in critical condition). This Sasha gal is one hell of a super-angry and very vocal ultra-radical.

    – Drive-by gunmen shot ‘Black Panther of Oxford’ Sasha Johnson in the head as they opened fire on house party at 3am after ‘dispute between rival gangs’ – as friend says she was NOT intended target and was in ‘wrong place, wrong time’ –

BLM & friends are blaming it on a freak accident between rival gangs. But isn’t it strange she was the only one shot at that party? No other bullets were fired. The gunman knew exactly where she was, the precise location.

    – A British Black Lives Matter leader took a bullet in the head when a London gang carried out a botched drive-by shooting to assassinate a rival at the end of an all-day party – and she was ‘not the intended victim’, a friend and fellow anti-racism campaigner said today. –

IMHO: She was the intended target. The little lady was too sure of herself, self-imbued with the power she carried, and difficult to reign in. She gave BLM a bad image.

Israel, Iran, Hamas, and why it’s not 2014 anymore

Iron Dome in action over Israel in May 2021. WSJ video, YouTube

In analyzing the latest round of Hamas rocket barrages and Israeli counterattacks, it’s not just easy but almost inevitable to be mesmerized by the trees and not see the forest. Each person from his or her perspective has so much knowledge that mustn’t be ignored or minimized. Each perspective is a source of good points.

Without arguing that we need to leave out any details, I have concluded, in preparing this article, that it’s easier in turn to see the forest if I let others recount them. So this will be a top-level treatment with a specific focus: a focus on what has changed since 2014.

As soon as the massed rocket attacks from Hamas began, it was evident that this time, it’s different. Everyone saw that. Hamas has never fired so many rockets all at once. In the space of 12 days, more than 4,300 were launched at Israel. Hundreds fell inside Gaza, and thousands were intercepted by Iron Dome, but some still found their way into populated areas and killed 12 Israeli civilians (as well as an IDF soldier). Some 230 Gazans have been killed, approximately 70 of them reported to be civilians. All these casualties lie at Hamas’s door, as not one of them would have occurred if the rocket barrages targeting Israeli civilian communities had not been launched.

  4. Turkey’s deep-state apparatus under the spotlight

ANKARA: The bombshell revelations of Turkey’s exiled mafia boss Sedat Peker on his YouTube channel have triggered an in-depth look into the country’s deep-state apparatus. At the center of the trials are Mehmet Agar, a former interior minister and police chief, and Korkut Eken, a former intelligence official.

To what extent the Turkish government will handle the serious accusations against its high-profile politicians and whether Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu, who is at the center of claims on state-mafia relations, will resign are still matters of concern. No parliamentary inquiry has been launched yet.

Agar and Eken will be retried over 18 extrajudicial killings that occurred in the 1990s after an appeals court decided to reverse their acquittals in a ruling that was adopted on April 5 but surprisingly conveyed to lawyers on Sunday.

The appeals court asserted that the evidence, especially the bullets used in the murders, was not suitably examined.

Agar and Eken made headlines recently with the allegations by organized crime boss Peker, who accused them of committing several unlawful acts under the state apparatus, including involvement in an international drug-smuggling scheme and the assassination of investigative journalists Ugur Mumcu and Kutlu Adali during their terms.

Journalist and peace advocate Adali was shot dead in front of his home in July 1996, in the Northern Cyprus administration. The murder has remained unsolved.

Adali’s spouse filed a case with the European Court of Human Rights against Turkey, and in March 2005 the court found that Ankara had not conducted a proper investigation into the murder of the Turkish Cypriot journalist.

On Monday, Turkish police detained Atilla Peker, brother of Sedat, after he said he assigned his brother to a botched mission to kill Adali 25 years ago upon orders of the state.

Mumcu, a globally known investigative journalist, was also killed by a car bomb in January 1993 outside his apartment in the Turkish capital of Ankara. Peker claimed it was Agar who stepped in first to the crime scene.

Sinem Adar, associate at the Center for Applied Turkey Studies at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs, said that the state-mafia organized crime triangle is not new in Turkey.

“Still, one key difference in the current moment is the degree of institutional deterioration and fragmentation of power within the state, which together wipe away even the pretense that allegations would be investigated,” she told Arab News.

“In fact, except for a few officials from the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), we have so far not heard from the president implying that any serious investigation will take place,” she said.

In order to clear his past before entering politics, Agar allegedly killed all Kurdish businessmen from whom he was receiving money in return for drug dealing.

Among the businessmen allegedly slain by the former minister, there is Savas Buldan, husband of Pervin Buldan, the pro-Kurdish Peoples’ Democratic Party co-chair.

The Kurdish lawmaker is set to apply for the re-launching of a judicial process over the killing of her husband.

Tolga Agar, Mehmet’s son and a lawmaker from the AKP, was also accused of having raped and killed a Kyrgyz journalist who filed a complaint with the gendarmerie about the lawmaker just a day before she was found dead.

According to Adar, Peker’s allegations and revelations demonstrate that the state-mafia organized crime triangle is no longer a secret that surprises many when it comes out in the light.

“It is rather a public performance through which parties show each other their power, audacity and sometimes even their panic — a performance that slaps one in the face as the very evidence of political and institutional decay,” she said.

As Peker pledges to continue whistleblowing on his past ties with the highest echelons, this will be a serious litmus test for the Turkish government to demonstrate its public relations skills for containing this unprecedented political crisis and take decisive actions against the criminal underworld ahead of elections in 2023.

Turkey’s ‘wicked messenger’ has gone viral. Here’s why

“My dear brothers, my dear friends,” the Turkish mafioso, grinning ear to ear, says to open his latest YouTube video, which drew five million views in less than 24 hours. “Here we are again.”

Forget beloved dizis, or soap operas, such as Magnificent Century. Say hello to Sedat Peker, Turkey’s new viral video sensation. Two parts Tony Soprano, the fictional American mobster, and one part The View, the American talk show, this shady figure has emerged as a media phenomenon in recent weeks by simply sitting at a table and talking to the camera.

His videos, which have nearly doubled in length since the first 40-minute release two weeks ago, cast a subtle spell. To start with, Peker is perfect for the part. The innocent schoolboy haircut, the open-collared shirt and rotating silver necklace attachments, including Zulfikar, the sword of Ali, which may be a reference to Ottoman Janissaries.

The massive rings on his thick, stubby fingers. The deep-set eyes, suggesting a history of violence, too many late nights, or both. The contradiction of an Islamist ultra-nationalist convicted criminal who presents himself as a neo-Robin Hood.

Peker is exiled from Turkey, his whereabouts unknown, and his comfortably bland, windowless setting maintains the mystery. The bamboo poles behind him evoke his 2007-2014 imprisonment, for forgery, robbery and leading a criminal organisation. On the clear glass table lay a stack of notes and a series of neatly arranged envelopes – an apparent threat to any who might cross his path.

But the real attraction appears to be how he spills the beans on ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) insiders and their alleged links to a shadowy underworld. As the outlook for the AKP and its parliamentary partner, the far-right Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), has sagged in the past two years, along with Turkey’s economic state, mafia figures have returned to political prominence as an underground economy has breathed new life.

      • Chyna, Fauci, et al. may have cooked up a novel DOGGIE covid!

New Coronavirus Detected In Patients At Malaysian Hospital; The Source May Be Dogs

In the past 20 years, new coronaviruses have emerged from animals with remarkable regularity. In 2002, SARS-CoV jumped from civets into people. Ten years later, MERS emerged from camels. Then in 2019, SARS-CoV-2 began to spread around the world.

For many scientists, this pattern points to a disturbing trend: Coronavirus outbreaks aren’t rare events and will likely occur every decade or so.

Now, scientists are reporting that they have discovered what may be the latest coronavirus to jump from animals into people. And it comes from a surprising source: dogs….

The patients had what looked like regular pneumonia. But in eight out of 301 samples tested, or 2.7%, Xiu and Gray found that the patients’ upper respiratory tracts were infected with a new canine coronavirus, i.e., a dog virus.…

From the virus’s gene sequences, she could see that the virus had likely infected cats and pigs at one point. But it likely jumped directly from dogs into people. “The majority of the genome was canine coronavirus,” she says.

Then she found a disturbing clue about the virus’s future. “We did discover a very, very unique mutation — or deletion — in the genome,” Vlasova says. That specific deletion, she says, isn’t present in any other known dog coronaviruses, but it is found somewhere else: in human coronaviruses. “It’s a mutation that’s very similar to one previously found in the SARS coronavirus and in [versions of] SARS-CoV-2 … [that appeared] very soon after its introduction into the human population,” Vlastova says.

This deletion, she believes, helps the dog virus infect or persist inside humans. And it may be a key step required for coronaviruses to make the jump into people.

“Apparently the deletion is somehow associated with [the virus’] adaptation during this jump from animal to human,” she says.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison has clarified the government’s position on vaccine passports and said the initiative could be implemented in an “extreme situation”.

The Morrison government will raise the notion of vaccine passports at National Cabinet on Friday, but the proposal has already come under fire with NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian rejecting the plan altogether.

Mr Morrison said the proposal would not see a person require a passport to get from one state to another like has been falsely suggested, but instead would be used in “extreme circumstances”.

“The proposal actually was put to me by the president of the AMA when I was in Western Australia,” he said.

The prime minister said the plan would only come into force if there were state-enforced border restrictions at which point a “fully vaccinated” Australian would be exempt from those restrictions.

“I would have hoped that that would be a good suggestion particularly for those living in border communities where they have been fully vaccinated and in the rather extreme situation if border arrangements were put in place by state governments.”

The White House on Monday deflected after Fox News’ Peter Doocy put spox Jen Psaki on the spot following a Wall Street Journal report that three workers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology fell ill with COVID-19 symptoms in December of 2019, bolstering the lab-leak theory for the origins of the pandemic.

    • the guardian -China rejects report of sick staff at Wuhan lab prior to Covid outbreak

Spokesperson dismisses Wall Street Journal claims based on ‘previously undisclosed’ intelligence

China has vehemently denied a Wall Street Journal report citing US intelligence materials that said several members of staff at a key virus laboratory in Wuhan had fallen ill shortly before the first patient with Covid-like symptoms was recorded in the city on 8 December 2019.

Foreign ministry spokesperson, Zhao Lijian, said it was “completely untrue” that three researchers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) became sick in autumn 2019. The report, based on “previously undisclosed” US intelligence, said the said the lab workers staff had become sick “with symptoms consistent with both Covid-19 and common seasonal illness”.

“The United States continues to hype up the ‘lab-leak’ theory … Does it care about traceability or is it just trying to distract attention?” Zhao said. He also cited a March statement from WIV , in which the institute said it had “never dealt with Sars-CoV-2 before 30 December 2019”.

The Wall Street Journal report came on the eve of a key meeting of the World Health Organization’s decision-making body, which is expected to discuss in detail the next phase of an investigation into the origins of Covid-19.

Separately, CNN reported on Monday, citing people briefed on the intelligence, that the intelligence community “still does not know what the researchers were actually sick with”. “At the end of the day, there is still nothing definitive,” one of the people who has seen the intelligence told CNN.

Shi Zhengli, who directs the Centre for Emerging Infectious Diseases at WIV, said earlier this year that all staff had tested negative for Covid-19 antibodies, and there had been no turnover of staff on the coronavirus team.

International experts investigating the origins of the coronavirus said in February, following their trip to China, that it was “extremely unlikely” that the virus had spread from a lab leak in the city of Wuhan.

Peter Ben Embarek, the head of the WHO mission, said at the time that work to identify the origins of Covid-19 pointed to a “natural reservoir” in bats, but it was “unlikely” that this occurred in Wuhan.

The organisation’s director general, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, however said in March that “all hypotheses remain on the table” after 14 countries, including the US and UK, made a joint statement to express concerns over the WHO team’s conclusions.

WHO spokesman Tarik Jasarevic on Monday said that the organisation’s technical teams were now deciding on the next steps. He said further study was needed into the role of animal markets as well as the lab-leak hypothesis.

In Washington, a US national security council spokesperson said that the Biden administration continued to have “serious questions about the earliest days of the Covid-19 pandemic, including its origins within the People’s Republic of China.”

She said the US government was working with the WHO and other member states to support an expert-driven evaluation of the pandemic’s origins “that is free from interference or politicisation.”

The lab-leak theory has been around since last year. In January 2020, as China attempted to contain the spread of the virus, rumours began to spread amid the scramble for answers. The conservative US website Washington Times, for example, alleged that coronavirus “may have originated in a lab linked to China’s biowarfare programme”.

But what many virus experts deemed a pure science issue was quickly turned into a diplomatic row, amid growing tensions between China and the United States. Three weeks after the Washington Times’s report, Republican senator Tom Cotton raised the lab-leak theory, while admitting he had no evidence to support it.

In March 2020, Lijian alleged on his Twitter account that the coronavirus was an “American disease” that might have been brought to China by members of the United States army who had visited Wuhan a few months earlier. He provided no evidence to support his theory, either.

Soon afterwards, several US allies began calls for an independent inquiry into the origin of Covid-19. Australia’s prime minister, Scott Morrison, for example, reiterated his country’s call in his address to the United Nations general assembly in September.

Constitutional carry (though it isn’t yet final) hasn’t been the only win for gun rights to come out of the waning days of the Texas legislative session. Early this morning, the Senate passed HB 957, which addresses the regulation of suppressors made within the Lone Star State.

    The bill does three things:

It repeals the state law criminalizing suppressor manufacture or possession outside of regulation under the National Firearms Act.
It establishes and legalizes a class of made-in-Texas suppressors that must be manufactured and/or sold within the state from Texas-made parts. The silencer must be stamped “Made In Texas” and must remain in the state. It would then be exempt from NFA regulation. That means no forms, background checks, $200 tax stamps or year-long waits for government permission.
Finally, the bill provides a path to secure a declaratory judgment on the constitutionality of this law before someone manufactures “Made in Texas” suppressors.

How Marxists in America expect to seize power completely.

This is Part 1 of a new 3-part series on the rapidly deteriorating situation in American schools with regard to the teaching of Critical Race Theory (CRT) as part of Ethnic Studies programs. The dangerous effects of CRT ideology already are apparent across U.S. institutions and must be countered immediately and resolutely if we are not to lose this Shining City on a Hill forever to a dark Marxist future.

A series of four articles here, here, here, and here, published at this site last year began to lay out the situation with a focus on the Santa Barbara Unified School District in California. This new series will update that focus, as the State of California continues to wrestle with the final form of an Ethnic Studies Model Curriculum. With the Biden Education Department signaling its intent to push Critical Race Theory on America’s schools, however, the issue is nationwide. In mid-April 2021, the Education Department released the text of a proposed new rule establishing priorities for the awarding of grants in American History and Civics Education programs to U.S. public schools.

This is Part 2 of a multi-part series on the teaching of Critical Race Theory (CRT) in America’s schools, usually as part of a broader Ethnic Studies program. Already present in public, private, and charter school classrooms, CRT is a dangerous Marxist ideology that serves to indoctrinate students with racial identity, divisiveness, and animosity. The immediate objective of this deeply harmful curriculum is to incite hatred among our children based on intrinsic characteristics like skin color. The ultimate objective is revolution to destroy America’s Constitutional Republic by methodically shredding our First Things Principles: individual liberty, government by consent of the governed, but most especially equality of all in human dignity before the rule of law.

In the first Part of this series, we set out the fundamentals of CRT, its origins among Marxist intellectuals and basis in Bolshevik ideology. The reason that CRT has made such inroads into American academia is rooted in the 20th century realization that a revolution based on class divisions would not work very well in a society based on free market capitalism where opportunity and upward mobility are available to all who are willing to apply talent and hard work to achieve individual goals. Italian communist Antonio Gramsci’s “Long March Through the Institutions” therefore took the place of a quick, violent Lenin-style uprising and race the place of Marx’s class divisions. America’s schools, teacher’s unions, textbooks, and students became top priority in the campaign to extend Marxist infiltration throughout the rest of society.

Force-feeding division and racism in American schools.

[Part 1 & 2 of this series can be read HERE and HERE.]

This is Part 3 of a multi-part series on the teaching of Critical Race Theory (CRT) in America’s schools. While earlier articles explained how the ideological foundations of CRT are rooted in Marxism and were promulgated by Marxist intellectuals operating out of the leftist faculty lounges of American academia, today’s essay will delve into some of the specific elements of CRT curricula now to be found within Ethnic Studies programs across the country.
California: Incubator of CRT in America

As described in this author’s May 7, 2021 article, “Critical Race Theory in America’s Classrooms”, the incubator for many of these educational concepts was California. There, the State School Board and legislature have wrestled with development of a so-called “Ethnic Studies Model Curriculum” (ESMC) for years. The essential purpose of that curriculum is to inculcate California students with a divisive, racist view of American society based on oppositional distinctions drawn among various ethnic groups: African Americans, Asian Americans, Latino-Chicano Americans, Native Americans, and Caucasians/whites. Coursework, class lectures, Power Points, and textbooks already in use set all the other ethnic/racial groups against whites. This is classic Marxist, Saul Alinsky-style propaganda whose ultimate objective is violent revolution based on an uprising of the “oppressed” vs the “oppressors”. Spread now throughout the U.S. school system, such indoctrination already is yielding the results methodically instigated by enemies of the state who seek a communist revolution in this country.

  11. Damning US intelligence says researchers at Wuhan lab hospitalized with COVID-like symptoms in fall 2019

    4-5 minutes

Three researchers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology became sick enough with COVID-like symptoms in November 2019 that they required hospitalization, according to a damning American intelligence report.

The intelligence, which was first reported by the Wall Street Journal on Sunday, adds weight to the Wuhan lab leak theory, which suggests the COVID-19 pandemic originated inside China’s only Biosafety level-4 laboratory.
    What are the details?

The intelligence is particularly significant because it suggests COVID-19 was spreading in China much earlier than China has admitted. China’s communist government traced patient-zero to a man who became sick on Dec. 8. But if researchers at the Wuhan lab were hospitalized one month prior, the virus was likely spreading even earlier than previously believed.

President Joe Biden will host George Floyd’s family at the White House this week to mark a year since Floyd was killed while in the custody of the Minneapolis Police Department, sparking the national anti-racism and anti-police brutality movement.

Biden will not, however, meet his stated deadline for passing the Geroge Floyd Justice in Policing Act by May 25th, amid concerns that the existing draft measure does not have “teeth.”

“President Joe Biden will host George Floyd’s family at the White House on Tuesday,” CNBC reported Sunday. “The visit marks the one-year anniversary of Floyd’s death, which triggered international protests against police brutality and racism in the criminal justice system.”

  13. Colorado Professor Claims That ‘White Supremacy’ is Causing Black People to Attack Asians

A critical race studies and ethnic studies professor at the University of Colorado-Boulder is continuing to spread the lie that “white supremacy” is causing black people to attack Asians.

Professor Jennifer Ho wrote an article for The Conversation entitled “White supremacy is the root of all race-related violence in the US.”

According to a report from Campus Reform, the nutty professor claims that even though “Black people are also attacking Asian Americans,” White people “are the main perpetrators of anti-Asian racism.”

Ho was previously President of the Association for Asian American studies and director of the Center for Humanities and the Arts.

April 21: China’s embassy accuses Australian foreign minister Peter Dutton of ‘ignorance and bigotry’ and ‘parroting what those Americans have asserted’ after he called for China to be more transparent about the outbreak.

  15. Heavy metal rocks French President Macron’s palace after YouTube bet

PARIS (REUTERS) – Millions of people tuned in on Sunday (May 23) to watch France’s Emmanuel Macron at a private heavy metal gig in the gardens of his Elysee presidential palace, part of a YouTube video by two comedians.

Mr Macron pledged in February to welcome McFly and Carlito, two French YouTubers followed by 6.5 million people, in the Elysee if they succeeded in garnering more than 10 million views for a video promoting social distancing measures during the pandemic.

McFly and Carlito won the bet and were allowed to shoot a 36 minute video, which within hours of release on Sunday morning had been viewed almost 2.7 million times.

The French President and the YouTubers exchange stories during the show, which ends with a stroll in the Elysee gardens, where French band Ultra Vomit perform a hard rock version of the French lullaby “A Green Mouse” (“Une souris verte”).

Mr Macron’s ratings in the 18-24 age group category have risen by eight points over a month, to 51 per cent, versus a general approval rating of 40 per cent, which is up three points, the latest poll published by “Journal du Dimanche” showed.

  16. Greta now targets your food production

“Millions have died from COVID-19, Zika, Ebola, West Nile Fever, SARS, MERS. Up to 75% of all new diseases come from other animals.

Because of the way we farm and treat nature, cutting down forests and destroying habitats, we are creating the perfect conditions for diseases to spill over from one animal to another and to us.

The next pandemic could be much, much worse. But we can change.”

She claimed switching to a plant-based diet could save up to 8 billions tons of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere annually.

  17. Death Toll From Kabul School Blasts Rises To 100

The death toll from bombings outside a high school in the Afghan capital has risen to 100 dead and 160 wounded, says the office of Sarwar Danish, Afghanistan’s second vice president.

Three powerful bombs detonated outside the Sayed Ul-Shuhada high school in Kabul on May 8 as students, many of them teenage girls, were leaving class.

The attack occurred in Dasht-e-Barchi, a predominately Shi’ite enclave in Kabul that is home to the Hazara minority.

Islamic State (IS) and Taliban militants — Sunni extremist groups that consider Shi’a apostates — have been blamed for devastating attacks that have killed hundreds of Hazara in the area in recent years.

Danish’s office said on May 22 that many of the hundreds of survivors were severely wounded by the blasts.

It warned that the death toll could rise further.

The attack, which was not claimed by any group, was one of the deadliest since the U.S.-led invasion in 2001 toppled the Taliban from power.

Violence has soared in Afghanistan since the start of the international troop withdrawal on May 1, with the Taliban seizing districts and overrunning government military bases in rural areas.

There has also been a sharp uptick in deadly suicide bombings in urban areas that have been blamed on the Taliban.

  18. Lee Smith:
Street Violence as a Political Tool

The new Democratic Party of oligarchs and technocrats enforces its orthodoxies upon blue state clients through broken windows and beatings, administered by party militias like antifa and BLM

The Democratic Party has had a problem. It’s a small, incoherent, and privileged clique funded by billionaire oligarchs to push policies that even mainstream Democratic voters oppose. How to bridge the gap? The solution they chose, which party officials made clear this week, was simple: the way third-world elites always do—by using street violence to keep their clients in line.

This week, pro-Palestinian demonstrators auditioned for the chance to join already established Democratic Party militias antifa and Black Lives Matter by attacking Jews in New York and Los Angeles. Apologists for the violence reason that the demonstrators are angry about the deaths of innocent Palestinian babies under Israeli fire in Gaza so they’re taking their frustrations—admittedly misplaced!—out on American Jews.

    That is not what’s happening.

Who knows how many of the activists waving the Palestinian flag as they beat Jews and detonate fireworks in front of Jewish-owned businesses are genuinely Palestinian Americans? Maybe some aren’t even Arab or Muslim, but that’s irrelevant—they are staking their claim to recruit, promote, and represent Arabs and Muslims as an interest group. And so the flag they’re really flying isn’t for the Palestinians but rather for the Democratic Party.

  19. Oh, Wrath! I miss you!
Remember me complaining to you about posts from the Middle East [Evil] Eye? And you explained why we have to?

Al Jazeera and AP covered up the destruction of MEE, the Hamas media mouthpiece

Both media outlets failed to report that one of the other media offices located in the building was Middle East Eye (MEE) – exposed as the alleged media mouthpiece for Hamas in a 2017 report.

An analysis of Al Jazeera and Associated Press (AP) reports on Israel’s demolition of the 14 storey building in which their respective offices were located – illustrates media anti-Israel bias that seeks to denigrate and delegitimise the Jewish State in much of the media reporting coming from the Gaza Strip.…

Delving into the details of MEE … show that it acts far less as a traditional journalistic outlet and far more as an English-language front for Qatari-supported groups like the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas. British corporate records, for example, show that Jamal Awn Jamal Bessasso, a former official for both Al Jazeera in Qatar and the Hamas-affiliated al-Quds TV in Lebanon, owns and operates MEE through M.E.E. Ltd.…
