Reader’s Links for May 5, 2021

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

Could The COVID Vaccine Be Designed To Alter Human Psychology?
Posted on May 4, 2021 by Anonymous Conservative
Here is an interesting little tidbit – I can make a credible case the vaccine could alter human psychology in reproducible fashion, and even I am surprised by this. I was surfing 4Chan when I found one of those “I am an elite, AMA” threads screencapped. What struck me was this quote by the elite – “Anti-vaxxers will be railed against hard in the media. It will begin with airports. You will not be allowed to travel without the vaccine. We have already implemented this in a limited fashion. Slowly but surely we will have big businesses, and then finally convince the people to only allow vaccinated people into the premises on the basis of the health of the people. The vaccine will also modify your DNA to make you more complacent.“

First to be considered, is the reports of RNA Coronaviruses integrating their RNA genes into human DNA genomes. The theory is either the body is continuing to copy the RNA or is burning it back into DNA through a natural process we haven’t found, or it is doing so by using Reverse Transcriptase present in the cell from some latent retro-viral infection. The salient point being mRNA, viral or vaccine, may not be going away once it is in the cell, so you can expect at least some people will be producing those mRNA vaccine molecules persistently once they get into the system. If the vaccine is permanent, then you have to look at the fact it is producing an ACE2 receptor ligand in the form of that Spike protein, which binds the ACE2 receptor like a hormone or steroid, and either turns that signal on or shuts it off (We don’t know for sure which, but it is affecting receptor function just by binding it). So theoretically, the vaccine could function like an endogenously produced peptide hormone signal in the body. So then you’d have a vaccinated individual, producing this signal themselves, which makes you ask, does this ACE2 receptor have any effect on psychology, and moreover any effect on any aspect of psychology associated with political ideology, or compliance? Funny you should ask:

Increasing brain angiotensin converting enzyme 2 activity decreases anxiety-like behavior in male mice by activating central Mas receptors.

Anxiety is code for amygdala. And as this site’s obsession has shown, all politics is amygdala-related. Affect amygdala, and you affect everything from confrontational behavior, to ideology, to sex drive. And then there is this:

Animals with genetic alterations in the expression of ACE2 develop a diverse pattern of phenotypes ranging from hypertension, metabolic and behavioural dysfunctions, to impairments in serotonin synthesis and neurogenesis.

So on that last one, look at what it means. They have been doing research in transfecting living animals with genes that alter ACE2 activity, to see what it does to brains and psychology.

Now suppose I was a Cabal scientist, and somebody said to me, we want to change behavior by genetically altering the population. First you need everybody to take a shot. A vaccine is an obvious choice. Next you need everybody, or almost everybody, to take it. That means you need a pandemic, real or imagined, for that. So far doable, or done, even.

You hit the research, and find the peptide which, if introduced, will produce the requisite brain change, to make people more docile and compliant. I find out what receptor it activates, which in this case was ACE2. Maybe I even do an experiment to see what would happen if I used transgenic technology to alter the activity of the ACE2 receptor with specific peptides, just to see if it disrupted anything else in the body that could be overly problematic.

Now you need that shot that you are going to deliver, to alter ACE2 activity. You could try a regular peptide vaccine to the active site motif of the ACE2 receptor, but those can be hit or miss in individuals, with different antibodies produced depending on chance encounters of each individual immune system with different aspects of the peptide motif used in the target molecule, creating antibodies which in one person act as super-active analogs that turn it on, but in another person their uniquely designed antibodies act as antagonists which turn it off. And it isn’t really controllable what those randomly structured antibodies will do.

Since endogenously produced antibodies are bad, what you need is a standardized peptide, produced exactly the same in every person, like a chemical, that has the same effect on the receptor in every person. You need a vaccine which inserts a uniform genetic sequence in everybody, so everybody is producing the exact same analog molecule, with the exact same effect on the receptor in everyone. I could say an mRNA vaccine, but the truth is I have no idea if this vaccine is mRNA, or if it could be some sort of DNA vaccine. Nobody who I would trust has cracked a vial open and tested it for that (or even to see if it is coded for the spike protein, or something entirely different). Nobody would ever believe there could be any sort of conspiracy that would lie about such a thing, even when you are talking about total dominance over the entire world by the megalomaniacal psychopaths we see everywhere from our intelligence services, to our political class, to the elites who are a level smarter than them, because we still don’t even know who they are. But if it is mRNA, as they say, RNA appears able to persist in the system according to the first study linked above, even though it is not supposed to, and that persistence is what is important.

So now I know I need to use that type of mRNA injection, under the cover of a vaccine, used to treat a pandemic. I know what peptide gene sequence I want used in that vaccine. Now I simply need to take a known, easily transmissible virus, and splice a genetic sequence into its docking protein sequence which will cause the docking protein to bind to the receptor I have identified. I may even find the sequence I will use in a gene library of another virus which docks with that receptor. Remember all that talk that COVID had spliced sequences from HIV in its docking protein, that got quickly memory-holed? If that was real, and they were trying to make the virus highly lethal, they failed. But if they were just trying to make it dock with ACE2, they were successful.

Now I have a virus, that docks with the right receptor, so that when introduced into the population, it will produce a call for an RNA vaccine which will utilize a specific peptide product I have identified which will also target that specific, mind-altering receptor. I have the gene delivery technology that will persist in the system, and maybe even spread, individual to individual, according to some reports.

Then it is all just a matter of letting events play out, putting the gene for the peptide in the vaccine, and delivering it. Add a little media propaganda, some Cabal cultural/social pressure, and let the sheep walk themselves to the slaughter. That there is even evidence the vaccine may spread on its own from the vaccinated to the unvaccinated almost makes me wonder if there might be actual replicating viruses in that vaccine.

Obviously, I cannot tell you this is what happened. But looking back, this series of events could fit the chain of events we saw, including the strange splicing of HIV sequences into the spike protein, as well as the rush to use mRNA vaccines, when if they had the sequence to the spike protein, they could have just dumped it in an E coli, and delivered the protein itself, without screwing with our cellular processes. I’d much rather get an isolated bolus of spike protein in an oil carrier, that my immune system can attack in place alone, than have my cells making, diffusing, and presenting spike protein on the surface of my cells, right next to all sorts of other good cell surface receptors I need, and don’t want any immune cross-reactivity to. It “fits” scientifically, and if the vaccine genes persist like the viral genes (and we have every reason to suspect they will), this could very easily be a mental/psychology-altering vaccine. The the 4Chan elite predicted something patently silly, that later, on deeper reflection, could be supported by the science is also curiosity-piquing.

And if you don’t think anyone would ever do this, check my surveillance page. The machine to do this is right down the street, all throughout the country. Nothing, and I mean nothing, works the way you think.

  2. Another long one. Apologies!
ClimaWord Salad: Socially Just Population Policies To Limit Hotcoldwetdry
This is 100% about science and not Progressive (nice Fascism) politics, you know

Socially just population policies can mitigate climate change while advancing global equity

Socially just policies aimed at limiting the Earth’s human population hold tremendous potential for advancing equity while simultaneously helping to mitigate the effects of climate change, Oregon State University researchers say.

In a paper published this week in Sustainability Science, William Ripple and Christopher Wolf of the OSU College of Forestry also note that fertility rates are a dramatically understudied and overlooked aspect of the climate emergency. That’s especially true relative to the attention devoted to other climate-related topics including energy, short-lived pollutants and nature-based solutions, they say.

“More than 11,000 scientists from 153 countries have come together to warn that if we continue with business as usual, the result will be untold human suffering from climate change,” Ripple said. “We have listed six areas, including curbing population growth in the context of social justice, as a framework for action.

Wait, College of Forestry? Why are they coming up with policies about limiting population?

“Since 1997, there have been more than 200 articles published in Nature and Science on climate mitigation, but just four of those discussed social justice, and only two considered population,” he added. “Clearly social justice and population policy are not getting the attention they deserve in the struggle against the climate emergency.”

The Earth’s 7.7 billion people contribute to climate change in a variety of ways, primarily through the consumption of natural resources, including non-renewable energy sources, and the greenhouse gas emissions that result from industrial processes and transportation. The more people there are on the planet, the more potential they have for affecting climate.

Partly due to forced sterilization campaigns and China’s one-child policy, population policies have long been viewed as a taboo topic and detrimental to social justice, Wolf says, but they can be just the opposite when developed and implemented appropriately with the goal of promoting human rights, equity and social justice.

It used to be that this type of stuff was on the Warmist fringe. Now it is being pushed by mainstream colleges. Of course, it usually ends up with them wanting to limit populations in areas like Africa, Latin America, Sout America, and SE Asia. You know, where all those icky minorities live. White Warmists aren’t racist at all.

Examples of badly needed population policy measures include improving education for girls and young women, ending child marriage and increasing the availability of voluntary, rights-based family planning services that empower all people and particularly poor women, the researchers say.

So, they’ve again hijacked real issues that have nothing to do with ‘climate change’, and are also happy to push abortion, calling it “rights-based family planning.” Which they also want to force on those “minorities.”

This is not a science, it is a cult. Period.

“Social justice and the climate emergency demand that equitable population policies be prioritized in parallel with strategies involving energy, food, nature, short-lived pollutants and the economy,” Ripple said. “With feedback loops, tipping points and potential climate catastrophe looming, we have to be taking steps in all of those areas and not ignoring any of them.”

Guess who gets to control all that?

    • Brad is talking about the raising tensions in the European Nations over the Islamic Invasion, this pressure is building to a real big explosion in all Western Nations.

Will there be Civil Wars/Rebellions? Probably but serious rebellions take time for the internal pressures to build to the point where a rebellion occurs. The rebellion I know the most about is the American Revolution, the tensions between the Colonies and Britain started building during the French and Indian wars between roughly 1740 and 1763.

During the early wars the Colonies kept asking for protection from the French and very little help was sent. This led to the colonies loosly orginizing into a self defense group that in 1745 using armed merchant men and detachments of the Colonial militias from all of the Colonies cpatured Fort Louisberg. This fort controlled the main route to Quebec and its control by the Colonies was one of the major reasons for the peace negioations and peace in North America.

This Fort was also the reason for the first major disagreement between Britain and the Colonies, in the peace treaty of 1745 the Brits gave the Fort back to the French but kept all of the payments that the French made for damages done in the Colonies. The Colonists were outraged, they were the ones who bleed and died taking the Fort and Britain gave it away while giving the Colonird got nothing.

(This is the first time in American History that the politicians threw away the victory our soldiers fought and died to get. Not the first time in history but the first time in our history. It wouldn’t be the last.)

Then in the 1750s war between France and Britain stated anew and the fighting spread to North America. This time Britain sent men and equipment to North America to fight the French and the British treatement of the Colonial Militias led to more resentment. There were bright points of cooperation between the British Military and the Colonies (notably Rodgers Rangers) but for the most part the relations weren’t good.

During this war the Brits took Fort Louisberg and eventually gained ownership of all of the French Colonies in Canada. The French still owned New Orleans and a lot of western territory.

The Colonies were still resentful over the Brits giving Fort Louisberg back to the French were upset over the bills the Brits sent to the colonies for the cost of their protection. Saying (wish some justification) that if the Brits hadn’t given the Fort back to the French the war in North America wouldn’t have been fought.

This bickering led the Brits to impose more and more taxes on the Colonies in an attempt to get the money they thought they were owed. The Colonies resisted and when the Brits passed a law saying that all ships sailing between the Far East and the Colonies but were not owned by a Company based in Britain had to said to London, pay taxes and then sail to the colonies caused the vast majority Far Eastern Traders to turn into smugglers. It also caused the formation of unofficial groups like the Sons of Liberty to opposed the Brits.

As the tensions rose more groups like the Sons of Liberty were formed and incidents like the riot that led to some British soldiers shooting and killing some rioters. This was called the Boston Massacre, John Adams reluctantly allowed himself to be argued into defending the Soldiers at the murder trial and got them off.

Then in 1773 the Sons of Liberty dressed up as Indians blackened their faces and boarded a British Ship and threw its cargo of tea into the harbor. This led to the Brits closing Boston Harbor until the cargo was paid for, several people offered to pay for the cargo but were turned down for various reasons.

The Colonists who were pushing for independence started gathering snd storing firearms and ammunition at Concord. The Brits heard about this and decided to confiscate the weapons so they couldn’t be used against the British soldiers. On April 19, 1775 the Brits marched to seize the weapons at Concord, the Colonists heard about this and spread the word that the British were marching to Concord. At Lexington they were met by 80 local militiamen and Issac Davis fired the Shot Heard Round the World. (since then there has always been a descendent of Issac Davis serving in the US military).

It took from 1748 until 1775 (27 years) for conditions to get bad enough that the Colonists revolted. This rebellion started with no leader and for a year the Continental Congress tried to make peace with Britain and to regain their rights os British Citizens. It didn’t work and after a year of political maneuvering the people who wanted Independence won the argument and the Revolution turned into the War of Independence.

Note the time it took for the pressure to build to the oint of revolt, revolutions don’t happen over night they take time to build.

For those who want to say that the Colonists couldn’t have gained their independence without the aid of France, you are right. We also couldn’t have won without the support of some of the Whigs in Parliament.

You also need to remember that only about one third of the people in the colonies supported the rebellion, roughly one third opposed it and the rest just wanted to be left along.

I will end this with a quote from Ben Franklin, “Revolutions like bastard children are created by half compromise and half improvise.”

Has the social pressure been building long enough for a revolution?

If it has will they succeed?

Bill Gates and his wife Melinda did not sign a prenuptial agreement before their 1994 wedding, which means the Microsoft founder’s $130 billion fortune will be in play as the two divorce after 27 years of marriage.

“Lawyers are shocked there was no prenup, given Bill had already made his first billion dollars at the age of 31 in 1987 – the same year he met Melinda. Now, their myriad assets are up for grabs,” the Daily Mail reported on Tuesday.

“In her petition for divorce, Melinda says spousal support is ‘not needed’ – meaning she won’t seek regular payments from Bill but take a settlement which is likely to be privately negotiated, if it hasn’t already been decided upon,” the U.K. paper said.

Bill, 65, has hired billionaire lawyer friend Charlie T. Munger, 97, to represent him in his divorce. It’s unclear who is representing Melinda.

The crescent moon on this year’s eye-catching Eid stamp holds special meaning for Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha – two of the most important religious holidays celebrated by Muslims around the world. A highly recognizable symbol of Islam, it also alludes to the fact that both festivals commence with the sighting of a new moon.

Another striking feature of the stamp design is that the view of the night sky is shown through a window, the shape of which was inspired by arches often used in mosque architecture. An overlaid pattern of hexagrams creates an intricately latticed screen – or jali – another form of decoration common in Islamic architecture.

This issue is the third stamp in Canada Post’s ongoing series marking Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha, which begin this year around May 12 and July 19, respectively. The celebrations coincide with two practices of religious and cultural significance – Eid al-Fitr heralds the end of the fast held during the holy month of Ramadan and Eid al-Adha follows the annual Hajj pilgrimage to the holy Kaaba shrine in Mecca. Both festivals are associated with gratitude, empathy and sacrifice, and they focus on opportunities to help those less fortunate.

  5. National Post – Eyes roll as stressed Liberal staffers offered free yoga class led by Sophie Grégoire Trudeau

‘Yeah, that’s going to be a hard pass for me,’ one Liberal staffer said

OTTAWA – After a “very long and intense year,” the Liberals are offering their staff a unique event to help them “cope with the stress of the pandemic”: a one hour group virtual yoga session with Sophie Grégoire Trudeau.

“We’ve all heard this before, but this last year has been an intense one!” begins an upbeat email sent by the Liberal Research Bureau (LRB) to all Liberal staffers, including Parliament Hill office and constituency assistants, ministerial staff and employees at the prime minister’s office (PMO) earlier this week.

“One thing that has helped many of us cope with the stress of the pandemic is getting some fresh air and doing some YOGA! So, in this spirit, Madame Sophie Grégoire Trudeau (a.k.a. Sophie) would like to invite you to participate in a virtual yoga class,” continues the invitation sent to hundreds of staff.

Liberal staffers who are concerned they may be too inexperienced to join the course or fear they’ll be judged needn’t worry either.

“All levels of experience are welcome and there is no judgement!,” the email adds, noting that the class will be led “entirely by Sophie,” Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s wife.

“As you may know, the week of May 3 is also Canadian Mental Health Week. Taking care of yourselves is important every day so please remember to do so!” the message concludes.

Though they appreciate the intent behind the event, many Liberal staffers contacted by National Post rolled their eyes at the invitation. They were all granted anonymity so they could speak freely.

“This is so silly,” one staffer said about the event.

“Yeah, that’s going to be a hard pass for me,” said another.

“I saw the email subject and deleted it immediately,” responded another.

In the email, the LRB emphasizes how the last year has been “very long and intense” for everyone and that the event is meant to “decompress” while getting “your body moving.”

According to LRB director of communications Allie Lee, this is in fact the third free yoga class that the prime minister’s wife will host for Liberal government MPs and staff “as her way of thanking them.”

She also said it is but one of many ways the party aims to support its staff and maintain a dialogue about mental health this week and throughout the “difficult and unusual times” that have come with the COVID-19 pandemic.

For example, staff will have access to “mindfulness sessions” as of next week, the party sends out “regular reminders” through various emails about mental health and counselling resources available through the Employee Assistance Program, and there are bi-weekly staff calls that give staff a space to raise issues and concerns they may be facing.

“While a yoga session can be a great moment of levity when shared virtually with friends and a good reason to move our bodies during a work day, it is not meant to replace other mental health practices and tools that we will always encourage all staff to make use of,” Lee said.

Despite the fact many staffers may have rolled their eyes at this particular event invitation, the increased stress and anxiety that came with their job during the pandemic is certainly real.

Last year, Carleton University associate professor Paul Wilson surveyed 175 staffers from all political parties during the pandemic and found that a majority reported they — like many Canadians — were working longer hours, struggled with work-life balance and had increased fear for their health and safety.

“However, staffers also bore significant pressure in helping to respond to their constituents’ urgent needs, and were on the receiving end of a great deal of frustration and anger. Even in normal times, parliamentary staff culture can be toxic for staffers’ mental health,” Wilson wrote in his paper published in November.

As a solution, Wilson emphasizes the importance for all parties to provide continuous counselling and mental health support services for their employees.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel spoke on the topic of vaccination pace in Germany and the rest of the EU, during a televised address from Berlin on Wednesday.

The chancellor explained that the vaccine roll-out may be have a few weeks delay due to exporting to other countries who aren’t able to produce their own vaccines.

“Europe is exporting the vaccines and helping other countries this way. Perhaps, this means that we will get vaccinated several weeks later but on the other hand, it means that the pandemic will only be defeated when everyone has access to vaccines,” Merkel said.

Sen. Mike Lee (R., Utah) and Rep. Ken Buck (R., Colo.) on Tuesday asked Attorney General Merrick Garland to investigate Amazon for violating federal law while competing for a Department of Defense contract.

The lawmakers in a letter said Amazon may have bribed a senior defense official in order to secure a cloud computing contract, citing an alleged payment from an Amazon consultant to a top adviser to former secretary of defense James Mattis, Sally Donnelly.

Lee and Buck, citing an April 2020 inspector general report, say Donnelly received more than $1 million in undisclosed payments from an Amazon consultant during her time at the Defense Department. While the payments were officially for the 2017 sale of her consulting company, Donnelly reported only $390,000 from that sale. Lee and Buck allege the payment came in exchange for her willingness to promote Amazon in her official capacity at the Defense Department. Donnelly had done consulting work for Amazon’s cloud computing services, Amazon Web Services (AWS). She is now a member of the isolationist Quincy Institute’s board of directors.

  12. French Court Throws out Charges Against Le Pen over ISIS Photos

The Nanterre Correctional Court has thrown out charges against populist MP Marine Le Pen and MEP Gilbert Collard after the pair posted images of Islamic State abuses on Twitter in 2015.

The Nanterre court ruled on Tuesday that the publication of the images by Ms Le Pen and Mr Collard was “part of a political protest process and contributes to public debate” and rejected the prosecutor’s demand for the pair to be fined €5,000 (£4,314/$5,995).

The court also noted that the two politicians were not endorsing the acts by the terror group as the images were accompanied by commentary and stated the pair had the right to freedom of expression, Le Figaro reports.

In February, Le Pen, who leads the National Rally (RN), denounced the proceedings as a “political trial”.

    4-5 minutes

The European Union has apparently suspended efforts to ratify a massive trade deal with Communist China following intense backlash on issues such as human rights and a series of tit-for-tat sanctions.

In December, the European Commission signed in principle the EU-China Comprehensive Agreement on Investment (CAI), which would have paved the way for some €120 billion in trade. The deal was preliminary, however, as it would have required ratification from the European Parliament and the governments of EU member states.

EU Commission Vice President Valdis Dombrovskis told the AFP news agency on Tuesday that the Commission has abandoned attempts to ratify the deal.

  14. reuters – Brazil COVID-19 inquiry told of Bolsonaro’s blind faith in chloroquine

Brazil’s former health minister told a parliamentary inquiry on Tuesday that President Jair Bolsonaro’s right-wing government knew full well that the treatment they were advocating for COVID-19 patients had no scientific basis.

Luiz Henrique Mandetta, who was fired last April by Bolsonaro for not agreeing to push the malaria drug chloroquine as a COVID-19 treatment, testified before a parliamentary inquiry into the handling of the pandemic that has killed more than 408,000 Brazilians.

The Senate investigation is expected to hurt the president politically 17 months ahead of elections by showing the country that his opposition to lockdowns and social distancing measures, his failure to secure vaccines and the touting of unproven treatments deepened the crisis Brazil is now in.

“I warned Bolsonaro systematically of the consequences of not adopting the recommendations of science to fight COVID-19,” Mandetta told the commission.

The minister said he was called to a cabinet meeting with the president, where there was a plan to change the official indications for use of the old anti-malaria drug to say it could be prescribed for COVID-19.

Antonio Barra Torres, president of Brazil’s health regulator Anvisa who was also at the meeting, said that could not be done.

“The government was aware that it was prescribing chloroquine without any scientific evidence,” Mandetta said.

Brazil has the highest death toll in the world from COVID-19 after the United States, and third in total coronavirus infections after the United States and India.

The South American country is so short of vaccine supplies that several big cities have not been able to administer second doses. Some intensive care wards have run out of oxygen and drugs needed to sedate intubated COVID-19 patients.

The United States is working to give Brazil access to $20 million worth of medication used for patients in need of mechanical breathing assistance. The medications will come from the U.S. government’s strategic stockpile and will be delivered in partnership with the Pan American Health Organization, the White House said on Tuesday.

The Senate investigation has called up other former health ministers, including General Eduardo Pazuello, who was picked by Bolsonaro after two ministers were removed for not backing his chloroquine treatment plan.

Bolsonaro’s championing of chloroquine mirrored former U.S. President Donald Trump’s lobbying for use of the related drug hydroxychloroquine as a COVID-19 treatment despite a lack of scientific evidence of any benefit for those patients.

Bolsonaro admired Trump and shares many of his ideological views, including playing down the severity of the pandemic.

Pazuello was due to testify on Wednesday, but said he could no appear because he had been in contact with two army colonels who tested positive for COVID-19. His testimony has been rescheduled for May 19.

Bolsonaro suggests coronavirus is part of China’s biological war

During an event on Wednesday, Brazil’s President Jair Bolsonaro voiced Sinophobic conspiracy theories, suggesting China could have developed the coronavirus in a laboratory and disseminated it ashave asa tactic of biological warfare for economic gain.

“It is a new virus, nobody knows if it came about in a laboratory or in“in a human being [who] ingested an contaminated animal. But it is there. The military knows that it is part of chemical, bacteriological and radiological warfare. Are we not facing a new war?” the president said. “Which country’s GDP has grown the most?”

[…]This is just Mr. Bolsonaro’s latest in a series of digs at China. Since thepandemic broke, the president has persistently attacked Brazil’s outright top trading partner.
Recently, even Economy Minister Paulo Guedes declared that “the Chinese invented the virus .”
