Reader’s Links for April 6, 2021

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

Since January, 261 California prison inmates have requested transfers to prisons aligning with their gender identity, the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation told the Daily Caller News Foundation Tuesday.

Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed S.B. 132 into law in January, a bill that requires the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) to ask every individual entering the department’s custody to specify their pronouns, their gender identity, and whether they identify as transgender, nonbinary, or intersex.

The law prevents CDCR from disciplining the individual if that individual refuses to give this information, allows for the information to be updated later on, and requires staff to use the gender pronouns that the individual requested.

White House press secretary on Tuesday said that CCP virus “vaccine passports” will not be developed or supported by the Biden administration, coming after several GOP governors issued executive orders barring them.

“The government is not now, nor will we be supporting a system that requires Americans to carry a credential. There will be no federal vaccinations database and no federal mandate requiring everyone to obtain a single vaccination credential,” Psaki told reporters on Tuesday at the White House.

Psaki last month responded to reports that the administration was working with private firms to create a passport system, saying the administration would provide guidance.

A Black Lives Matter activist with a huge social media following threatened that “all hell is gonna break loose” if former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin “is not sentenced” for the death of George Floyd, the Daily Wire reported.

Maya Echols — a model with nearly a half-million TikTok followers — made her statement in video that she apparently took down, the outlet said. But the clip has been preserved for posterity:

    What’s Happening:

Boy, oh, boy Nance. The speaker thinks because he’s the most powerful Democrat woman in the House (and the country, frankly, since Kamala is MIA), she thinks she can do what she wants.

It seems she even expects the media will turn a blind eye to her possible corruption.

She’s probably right about that. But it won’t stop us from covering it.

As you can expect, Pelosi is pushing Biden’s massive infrastructure bill. This bill will provide only a fraction for actual infrastructure, and billions and billions for the left’s wish list.

Michigan Detroit news reports 246 breakthrough cases diagnosed with CO ID 19, 3 died and a healthy teen was diagnosed with Gillian-Barre Syndrome weeks after COVID vaccine. He says he was fine before he got the shot, doctors say it might be a coincidence.

Other states with breakthrough cases Florida, California, South Carolina, Texas, NY, Oregon, NC, Utah, Hawaii, Nebraska, Louisiana and Minnesota.

  6. Biden’s Bipartisanship Lie Will Cost Dems the House
    David Catron
    6-8 minutes

When failed Democratic congressional candidate Rita Hart dropped her petition with the House Administration Committee to “investigate” the 2020 election in Iowa’s Second Congressional District, it revealed far more than the outcome of an obscure Midwestern House race. The querulous tone of her announcement suggested that the withdrawal wasn’t voluntary. A number of Democratic moderates had expressed reservations about overturning state-certified results and opening themselves up to charges of hypocrisy. These representatives won their seats by pledging not to become mindless Myrmidons of the increasingly hyper-partisan House leadership, and they know they will already have enough trouble surviving their next elections because of the president’s broken promise to promote bipartisanship.

…. The book has attracted some attention because of the multiple attacks Hunter suffered from former president Donald Trump and his lawyer Rudy Giuliani
