Such effort and propaganda to persuade us to take untested drugs simply hardens my resolve to resist. Long-term effects require–uh–a long term to know them. Next thing you know they’ll be feeding it to us secretly in soda pop. My body my choice, assholes.

I’m learning about the observations and interpretations of Dr. Gabor Maté, ‘renowned addiction expert,’ who calls for a compassionate approach toward addiction, whether in ourselves or in others. Dr. Maté believes that the source of addictions is not to be found in genes but in the early childhood environment.

The addictions of Islam, Communism and Sexualism, who wear the righteousness of Pride and Anger, I would say were childhood traumas that blocked out their father’s voice and was replaced with a rabid paranoia for attention (affection) and validation (authenticity) that they did not receive in childhood.

Strategy of the Nunes memo: House Russiagate investigator explains how ‘Adam Schiff took the bait’

    By Chuck Ross

A former House Intelligence Committee staffer who helped uncover FBI misdeeds in the Trump-Russia probe said that Republicans lured Rep. Adam Schiff into releasing information that showed the FBI misled Congress about how the bureau used the infamous Steele dossier for its investigation of the Trump campaign.

Kash Patel, who served as a chief investigator for Rep. Devin Nunes, said in a recent interview that Republicans strategized the release of a February 2018 memo regarding the dossier in hopes that Schiff would release a rebuttal memo of his own.

“Adam Schiff took the bait and put so much more information in his memo than we did in ours, because we knew we would be able to use that information later and prove how wrong they were. It would just take a little bit of time,” Patel said in an interview for The Epoch Times’ “American Thought Leaders.”

Psaki pressed to ‘square’ Nat’l Guard sleeping in parking garage while illegals get hotel rooms

Jen Psaki (Image: YouTube screen grab)

Yesterday’s release of photos of the deplorable living conditions for migrants at the southern border may explain why Joe Biden called a lid at 1:13 p.m. But it’s not just pictures that underscore the inadequacies of the Biden border plan — it’s the words of his administration as well.

On Sunday, for example, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas was grilled by Fox News Channel’s Chris Wallace on the administration’s refusal to allow the press to visit the facilities along the border. Mayorkas’s explanation was that “we’re in the midst of a pandemic.” Although Wallace responded by noting that “there is a safe condition under which a pool reporter and a pool camera crew could go into some of these facilities,” an even more compelling argument is rooted in the fact that the administration is releasing migrants into the U.S. without testing them for COVID. If the risk of contagion is too great to allow reporters to accompany border agents on ride-alongs, shouldn’t the administration be equally adamant about releasing potentially COVID-positive individuals into the country?

Another example occurred yesterday when Emerald Robinson of Newsmax asked White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki:

How do you square National Guard troops sleeping in parking garages and eating contaminated food with illegal immigrants being put up into hotel rooms?

Trending: Dealing with the USA: Russia, China issue joint proposal for a UN Perm-5 summit

The question referred back to a news story yesterday that the administration had awarded an $86 million contract for hotel rooms for migrants.

Psaki’s answer? When Biden became aware of the situation, he took remedial action.

But that there’s no need for remediation when a president does his job right in the first place.

Another related question Psaki might be asked relates to the country’s devastatingly large population. How, that is, does Biden square putting illegal aliens up in hotel rooms when displaced Americans are left to die in our streets of exposure?

  5. Biden ‘Under Investigation’ By GAO For Halting Billions Of Dollars To Finish Border Wall, Report Says

Democrat President Joe Biden is reportedly “under investigation” for halting billions of dollars in payments that were set to go out to companies that were tasked with finishing President Donald Trump’s southern border wall.

“Now the Government Accountability Office is launching a review to determine whether the new president broke the law by freezing the money in violation of budget rules designed to keep Congress in control of the cash flow,” Politico reported. “The probe highlights the challenge presidents have historically faced in fulfilling campaign promises that require money to be spent — or suspended — at odds with Congress’ intent.”

The report comes as Biden’s border crisis has overwhelmed the U.S.-Mexico border, promoting backlash against Biden from Republicans, Democrats, and even the president of Mexico.

  7. CHILLING: California Police Reform Bill May Ban Christians From Law Enforcement
    Tyler O’Neil
    7-9 minutes

Police officers have a duty to protect all citizens, regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation, or any other identity. Governments have an interest in preventing violent criminals and members of the Ku Klux Klan from joining police forces. Yet a new bill supposedly aimed at preventing gang members from joining law enforcement could prevent conservative Christians from taking the blue or result in their firing.

California Assembly Bill 655 would require police departments to investigate whether not potential cops had “engaged in membership in a hate group, participation in hate group activities, or public expressions of hate.” It would make such activities “grounds for termination.”

When Americans think of a “hate group,” many minds would conjure up a domestic terrorist group motivated by racial animus like the Ku Klux Klan. Yet some transgender activists and organizations like the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) use the term “hate group” as an epithet to demonize their political and ideological opposition. The SPLC has become notorious for branding mainstream conservative and Christian groups as “hate groups” because they advocate against same-sex marriage or transgender activism.

    • the epoch times – Exclusive: Border Agent Gives Inside Account of Overcrowded Facilities

The family-unit holding cells smell like urine and vomit. Fights break out in the unaccompanied-minor cells. Scabies, lice, the flu, and COVID-19 run rampant.

Up to 80 individuals are squeezed into each 24- by 30-foot cell, and there aren’t enough mattresses for everyone. Sheets of plastic divide the rooms.

“Any diseases that are in there, it’s being kept in there, like a petri dish. The smell is overwhelming,” a Border Patrol agent said, describing the conditions in a facility in south Texas. The agent, Carlos (not his real name), spoke to The Epoch Times on condition of anonymity, for fear of repercussions.

Border Patrol agents on the front lines are getting so frustrated that they’re now risking their livelihoods to reveal what’s really going on in the illegal immigrant processing facilities.

One or two agents are left to control 300 to 500 people during a shift. No agent wants to report physical or sexual assaults between the aliens because they’ll get blamed for “letting it happen.” They’re also forced to separate a child from an extended family member because he or she is not a biological parent.

The number of unaccompanied minors—children under 18 who arrive without a parent—is buckling the system. The law requires Border Patrol to prioritize unaccompanied minors and transfer them to the Department of Health and Human Services within 72 hours.

“We’re getting them out of here as quickly as possible, but we are so overwhelmed right now,” Carlos said. “It used to be easy to get them out in 72 hours. Not anymore. They’re staying here for 10, 12 days. It’s horrible.”

o far this fiscal year (from Oct. 1, 2020), Border Patrol has apprehended more than 29,000 unaccompanied children crossing the border illegally. In all of fiscal 2020, just over 33,000 were apprehended, according to Customs and Border Protection (CBP) statistics.

This year’s numbers are on a trajectory to surpass the 2019 crisis numbers, when 80,634 minors were apprehended.

CBP declined to provide the number of unaccompanied minors currently being held. “In general, CBP does not provide daily in-custody numbers, as they are considered operationally sensitive because CBP’s in-custody numbers fluctuate on a constant basis,” CBP spokesman Nate Peeters wrote in an email to The Epoch Times on March 23.

Health and Human Services confirmed on March 23 that its Office of Refugee Resettlement is holding approximately 11,350 children.

CBP and Health and Human Services have opened several extra facilities to deal with the influx, with the latest being the San Diego Convention Center.

Carlos confirmed that the majority of unaccompanied minors coming across the border already have parents or family members in the United States.

“Everybody that shows up here—even if it’s a 3-year-old kid with no one around—they all have an address on them. And they’ll give it to you: ‘Here’s my address; this is where you are sending me,’” Carlos said.

“And that’s what we do. This is the way we are being played.”

Most of the unaccompanied minors come from the Central American countries of Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador.

“We’re dealing with a different culture who’s not afraid to send all their kids under the age of five, knowing they’re going to get raped, knowing they’re going to get killed,” Carlos said. “You talk to the adults or the teenagers and they’ll tell you, ‘They raped three or four girls, and they kicked them off the trains.’ They’re going to die.”

Two-thirds of migrants traveling through Mexico report experiencing violence during the journey, including abduction, theft, extortion, torture, and rape, according to Doctors Without Borders (MSF), which has been providing medical and mental health care for migrants and refugees in Mexico since 2012.

Almost 1 in 3 women surveyed by MSF said they had been sexually abused during their journey—60 percent through rape.

      Families Released
A new directive from the Biden administration is allowing for family units to be released into the interior of the United States without a notice to appear—the paperwork that states the date an illegal immigrant must turn up in court to plead their case.

“There’s no repercussions. I’m not even going to give you a court date. You don’t even have to show up at court if you don’t want to. It’d be nice, but you don’t have to. That word gets out immediately. And I mean overnight,” Carlos said.

He said it’s now common knowledge that if you bring a child, you’ll be quickly released into the United States. They’re being transported all over the country, but popular destinations include Houston, New York, and California, as well as Maryland and Washington, D.C.

“They’ll put them in a hotel for a couple of days until their flight is ready to fly them to where they are going. That’s tax dollars,” Carlos said.

“There’s no end in sight. The people that we’re apprehending are warning us of the larger caravans that are on their way.”

He said President Joe Biden’s rollback of the Trump administration’s border policies is the direct cause of the surge.

“One hundred and ten percent. They were already ready before Biden was even in office. They knew that the doors were going to be open. And now we’ve got a point where we cannot stop it,” he said.

The administration hasn’t allowed media to access the processing facilities and, according to agents, it’s even requiring that agents in the field move illegal aliens they apprehend onto private land to process them.

“Keep trying until you find us on a public road. But we’ve been instructed to move all the traffic onto ranches to make sure there’s no public eye,” an agent said.

“Biden’s strict on that. Trump was a different story. This administration is a no-go on media, I’m guessing because they don’t want to let the word out on what’s going on here on the border—to make him look good.”

Carlos said the agency has stopped dropping illegal immigrants off directly at bus stations now. “We were given strict orders from Washington, D.C., that that ceases—it’s drawing too much attention,” he said.

Now they drop the illegal immigrants nearby or at a local NGO facility near the bus station, he said.

The administration hasn’t yet called the current situation a crisis, and Biden said on March 21 that he’ll visit the border “at some point.”

      ‘Our Defenses Are Down’
Morale among Border Patrol agents has plummeted, Carlos said. “The attrition rate right now is ridiculous,” he said. “We don’t want to work for the Border Patrol anymore. It’s not the Border Patrol.”

During the Trump era, agents felt “empowered” to do their jobs, he said. “Whatever deals he made, everything was working just fine. Now we’ve got this trash.”

As agents get moved to deal with the increase in family units and unaccompanied minors, the smuggling organizations and cartels move drugs and other individuals through other, unpatrolled areas.

“Our manpower is being depleted because we need to go babysit these people, move them as fast as possible to release them into the country,” Carlos said. “It’s ridiculous. We have no backup. We’re losing more than we’re catching. And it’s no secret.

“Our defenses are down. So if there’s anybody that we should be worried about, they know this is the time to come in. They know it.”

    • DAILY MAIL EXCLUSIVE: ‘They have doctors and chefs – they’re living better than us!’ Angry Texas residents tell how the Biden administration is housing over 500 migrant youths at an all-inclusive $33m ‘man camp’ just feet away from their homes

About 500 migrant youth are being housed at a ‘man camp’ in Midland, Texas that was constructed in 2012 to temporarily house workers in the oil industry

Shon Crabtree, 42, lives across the street from the Federal Government’s newest unaccompanied minor immigration detention facility and is clearly disgruntled

‘I’m worried about some of them escaping and coming to my house and holding my family hostage until they get what they want or taking a vehicle. We are scared,’ Crabtree told DailyMail

The migrant children, who appear to be 12-17 years in age, are mainly from Central America
DailyMail visited the camp where there is a small wooden 4 ft. fence that surrounds the property with federal police vehicles positioned outside of the facility on the roadway 24 hours a day

According to their website, Cotton Logistics opened their Midland facility in 2012 and has 700 beds. The man camps are built like all-inclusive hotels with five-star hospitality, wireless internet and cable TV

Officials say that there are now more than 14,000 migrant youths being held in federal custody – more than three times the largest number of children held under the previous administration

The Biden administration is paying $33million to rent a ‘man cap’ built for oil workers and engineers in Midland, Texas, to house 500 migrant youths, leaving residents disgruntled by the detention facility in their backyard.

‘They have doctors, chefs, three square meals a day, they play soccer all day. They are living better than us. I see them in new clothing, they line up for their meals three times a day, and then play and watch TV,’ Midland resident Shon Crabtree tells DailyMail.

Crabtree, 42, lives across the street from the federal government’s newest unaccompanied minor immigration detention facility that currently holds almost 500 male immigrant youths in a converted all-inclusive ‘man camp’ that was constructed in 2012 to temporarily house workers in the oil industry.

In an exclusive interview from his front yard with the detention facility just feet behind him, a clearly disgruntled Crabtree exclusively tells DailyMail, ‘President Biden is a piece of s***t. I blame him for all of this.’

The amenities here are in stark contrast to photos released by Congressman Henry Cuellar over the weekend that show a crowded migrant encampment in Texas where 400 unaccompanied male minors are being held in ‘terrible conditions’ in a space meant for half as many.

The overflowing detention center is just one extreme in the Biden administration’s easing of immigration laws as his team plans to alleviate the situation by spending more than $86million to house migrants families in hotels and other temporary centers.

Crabtree woke up to sound of several federal vehicles and buses full of migrant children last Monday morning.

He works in the oil industry and said he and several of his neighbors aren’t happy with the detention facility and with the Biden administration.

‘A week ago my house was worth $300K right now it’s worth zero, because of this detention facility. When I bought my house I obviously knew there was a ‘man camp’ across the street. Oilfield workers and engineers lived at the camp for periods of time. They were professional living there, I had nothing to worry about.

‘Right now with this literally in my front yard, I couldn’t sell it. There is nothing we can do, we are stuck. No one is going to want to move next to a detention facility. They are putting up wired fences, they have flood nights at night and the streets are crawling with federal vehicles.

Crabtree says since last week they’ve had problems sleeping.’The lights are shining through our windows and the sound of the generators running all night makes it hard to sleep,’ he said.

‘And there is zero privacy, the cops generally sit right there in my front driveway, it feels like you are being watched and monitored 24/7. They have three different branches of police over there, Homeland Security, Border Patrol, and the state police. Who knows what they dug up into our lives, you just feel violated.’

Crabtree said he didn’t hear a word from state, or Federal authorities about the detention facility, ‘one day I woke up and saw federal vehicles parked out in front of my house. I asked them if there is something I needed to know about. And they said, ”We don’t think so.” I said, ”What does that mean?” And they said, ”Well, we can’t say anything.”’

He also says he’s worried about COVID from the immigrant youths. So far more than 10% of the camp’s population children has tested positive for COVID-19. At least one child has been hospitalized.

‘These kids interact with the federal officers who then interact with us. We are being put in danger.’

Not only is Crabtree wary of catching COVID-19 from the migrant children, he’s worried they may escape. A 10ft. chain link fence is being constructed around the camp but Crabtree says it should have been in place prior to the minors’ arrival.

Right now there is a small wooden 4 ft. fence that surrounds the property. Federal police vehicles are positioned outside of the facility on the roadway 24 hours a day, but that gives Crabtree little solace.

‘I’m worried about some of them escaping and coming to my house and holding my family hostage until they get what they want or taking a vehicle. We are scared.’

He says his wife, is especially terrified. ‘She works from home and keeps the blinds in the front windows shut all day long.’

The migrant children, who appear to be 12-17 years in age, are mainly from Central America, which is another concern for Crabtree. ‘I’m sure there are some MS13 or Barrio 18 gang members in there.’

Crabtree says he’s been told the US Government is paying Cotton Logistics which owns the all-inclusive ‘man camp’ $33 million to rent it out for up to 12 months.

According to their website, Cotton Logistics opened their Midland facility in 2012 and has 700 beds. The man camps are built like all-inclusive hotels with five-star hospitality, wireless internet, cable TV it says.

Some of the amenities listed for the Midland Man Camp are a kitchen & dining facility, hot & cold meal service, 24-hour snack & beverage service, an indoor recreation facility, a billiards & lounge area, a theater with stadium-style reclining seating, a state-of-the-art workout facility, an outdoor pavilion, fire pits & covered decks, a basketball court, laundry facility, daily housekeeping, full size wardrobe, flat-screen TV with DVD Player and cable, individual heating and cooling system.

Another neighbor who has knowledge of the facility but didn’t want to be identified exclusively told

‘With the down turn of the economy the ‘man camp’ was empty. So when they were offered millions by the Feds to house immigrant children Cotton Logistics jumped at the chance. They are getting paid millions by the government to provide for the minor children. Most of the people around here aren’t too happy with what’s going on. They think its President Biden’s way of saying ‘F you’ to the people of Texas for voting for Trump.

‘There is one federal police officer for every 50 migrant children at the camp, they’re also staying at the camp in trailers on the other side of property.

‘Those kids are living luxury. I’m sure where they are living now is 100 times better than where they have ever lived in before.

‘There are about 140 trailers on the property each trailer has 5 rooms, in each room there is a private bath and shower and bed, TV and wireless internet access and closet.

‘There is a cleaning crew of about 30 cleaning ladies that clean each unit daily. The food is very good, they serve three meals a day, breakfast buffet with eggs, bacon, waffles, and sausages. On Wednesday its steak night on the grill, on Thursdays its seafood night with catfish, shrimp and hushpuppies.

‘The food wouldn’t disappoint anyone. The desserts are to die for – cakes, ice cream, pies, you name it. Unlimited sodas, water and juices.

‘Usually the costs that Cotton Logistics gets per guest is between $80-120 a night, all-inclusive.

‘There are some problems with the water and septic system. In this area you can’t drink the tap water because of the soil so they have to haul in potable water to drink and at times they’ve had issues with the septic system backing up and flooding.

‘But even with all of these problems it’s not too shabby of a place to stay, it’s comparable to any nice hotel. Those kids won’t go without. I’m sure they are living better than they have ever lived before in their life, all on the dime of the American taxpayer.

‘Red Cross volunteers watch over each individual trailer of the young men 24-hours a day, while federal police patrol the outside of the detention facility.’

Crabtree said these kids are being treated better than our veterans. ‘A week ago they were illegally crossing into our country and now they are living it up it up with all of the food they can eat and playing soccer all day.’

On Saturday, March 20, DailyMail observed several minors inside of the facility, all were wearing face masks. Most of them were dressed in light grey sweatpants with a darker gray sweatshirt. They all appeared to be getting along and enjoying themselves. About 50 of them at a time played soccer on a makeshift field near their camper trailers, while Red Cross volunteers looked on.

The kids appeared to be relaxed and enjoying themselves oblivious of the installation of a 10 ft. chain link fence and federal officers patrolling the streets outside the facility.

After sunset the youths retired back to their separate rooms, several of the 32-inch flatscreen TVs that each minor child had in their room were on. Some of the cabins are less than 20 ft. from the public roadway.

At night with their TV’s on you can see in their respective windows where they were watching a variety of shows from the Disney Channel, Univision, to the local news, and the Discovery channel.

Several temporary spotlights light up the facility and surrounding area at night.

‘This detention facility is a huge waste of taxpayer’s money. This is Mexico’s problem. It wasn’t my problem, but now it is. I have this eyesore to look at every morning when I wake up,’ added Crabtree.

‘I’m going to have to spend $5K in shrubbery so when I don’t look out my window I see a prison camp. Also I’m going to have to buy a security system, camera, etc. just to make sure in case of an escape.’

‘It’s like living across the street from a prison. It’s ridiculous to have to put money into something that’s worth nothing now because of Biden. It’s socialism, its communism. It’s everything, I never thought in a million years, my government would do this.

‘And the sad part is, I really can’t do anything about it, I’d like to hire an attorney but that’s going to cost a lot of money and I don’t know what I’d get out of it in the end.’

But Crabtree has some choice words for President Biden saying, ‘He’s a puppet, there is nothing you can say to that guy that would matter. He’s just a big puppet.’

Crabtree says the Biden administration is sending the wrong message to illegal immigrants.

‘They are saying if you can get here on American soil, we’ll take care of you. I don’t go to work every day to take care of that, that’s socialism. I work for what I have. Your house is your biggest investment, which they’ve destroyed. I work for what I have, I don’t take handouts and I don’t want them coming across the border. That’s not my problem. You know, we’ve got enough problems in the U.S. that need to be taken care of. And that’s a Mexico problem.’

Crabtree – who voted for Donald Trump – said this would have never happened under his regime.

In March 2020, President Trump enacted Title 42 which allows the US Border Patrol to immediately expel any migrant, to prevent the spread of COVID-19. But now with President Biden in office, he ended that practice for children in early March of this year.

As of February of this year 29,792 unaccompanied children have crossed the border without their parents according to CBP data.

‘I don’t believe a single word that comes out of the Biden administration, they’ve said the kids are only going to be her for 90 days, that’s a lie,’ continued Crabtree. ‘Biden has gotten us into this immigration mess and as long as he’s in office, it’s just going to get worse.’

He also blames the minor migrant children for this problem.

‘I believe it’s their fault. They came over here. I didn’t make them come over here3. They could have stayed home.’

But there is at least one person in the area who doesn’t mind the minor migrant child detention facility.

Anthony Whetstone, 53, who is renting a house next door to Crabtree told DailyMail exclusively, ‘I think it’s a good idea to house these kids. They deserve to have a chance at a good life who knows what horrible conditions they were facing in their own country. We are fortunate here in America.’

But Texas officials feel differently Governor Greg Abbott has called the border crisis a ‘humanitarian disaster’ as COVID cases surge among teens held in a hastily constructed federal holding facility for child migrants with no drinkable water.

The detention center in Midland County, currently holding more than 400 youths, was opened on March 14, 2021 after federal officials converted a ‘man camp’ for oilfield workers to help handle a massive surge in illegal border crossings, including many unaccompanied minors.

More than 10 percent of the camp’s population has tested positive for COVID-19 and at least one child had to be hospitalized. And on Friday, Texas officials issued a dire warning that well water used at the holding site could be contaminated with arsenic or other toxins.

‘We’ve known this is a crisis. What I learned in just the past hour shows that we are now dealing with a humanitarian disaster,’ said Abbott, a Republican, in an interview with Fox News on Friday. ‘There’s no telling what could be in there, including the possibility of arsenic… So there is no viable, usable running water at the location in Midland.’

Officials say that there are now more than 14,000 migrant youths being held in federal custody. It is more than three times the largest number of children held under the previous administration, which was widely criticized for putting ‘kids in cages.’

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Friday insisted that President Joe Biden’s administration ‘has this under control’ and continued to refuse to call the situation at the southern border a crisis.

The facility in Midland has been plagued by safety concerns and stopped accepting new youths less than a week after it opened.

An official working at the Midland, Texas, facility said most of the Red Cross volunteers staffing the site don’t speak Spanish, even though the teenagers they care for are overwhelmingly from Central America.

When the facility opened, there weren’t enough new clothes to give to teenagers who had been wearing the same shirts and pants for several days, the official said. And no case managers were on site to begin processing the minors’ release to family elsewhere in the U.S.

Bringing in teenagers while still setting up basic services ‘was kind of like building a plane as it’s taking off,’ said the official, who declined to be named due to government restrictions.

U.S. Health and Human Services notified local officials in Midland on Wednesday that it had no plans to bring more teenagers to the site, according to an email seen by the AP.

HHS spokesman Mark Weber said taking more teenagers to Midland was on ‘pause for now.’ There were still 485 youths there as of Wednesday, 53 of whom had tested positive for COVID-19.

On Friday, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality said running water at the Midland camp could be used only to flush toilets or wash clothes because officials aren’t sure whether the water is safe.

It’s unknown how many teenagers may have consumed water from taps or used it otherwise. They are now being given water bottles for drinking.

The Midland camp did not have an active permit with TCEQ for a public water system, according to the agency´s online records. The camp is operated by Katy, Texas-based Cotton Logistics.

Texas state Senator Kel Seliger said Friday that water on site is drawn from a well that the company drilled without getting a TCEQ permit.

‘They just drilled the well,’ said Seliger, a Republican who represents Midland. ‘It’s a pretty shallow well, and that’s where the concern comes in for naturally occurring arsenic, nitrates possibly. Hopefully not oilfield pollutants, but they don´t know.’

U.S. Health and Human Services, which operates long-term facilities for immigrant children, said the water at the Midland facility ‘is deemed potable and is tested regularly above standards,’ but would not say who did the testing and what the testing found. HHS also did not answer questions about when it learned of concerns about the water.

‘We are in contact with our contractor to ensure clean water is accessible for kids and staff in the facility,’ HHS spokeswoman Luisana Perez said.

Abbott issued a statement accusing the Biden administration of ‘abject failure when it comes to ensuring the safety of unaccompanied minors who cross our border.’

The Republican governor, facing criticism of his own over his handling of a winter storm that knocked out the state’s power grid, has been sharply critical of the new Democratic administration’s handling of the border.

U.S. officials have rushed to open new sites to hold teenagers and children crossing the U.S.-Mexico border to try to clear packed Border Patrol facilities currently holding thousands of youths – many claiming to be in their late teens, but whose exact ages are difficult to verify.

Biden has kept intact an emergency measure enacted by the Trump administration during the pandemic that allows the government to quickly expel them to Mexico, though adults who bring young children are generally allowed to enter through South Texas.

The Biden administration is not expelling immigrant children unaccompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Several hundred a day are crossing the border, going first to often packed Border Patrol stations while they await placement in the HHS system.

The number of unaccompanied minors crossing the border illegally has surged. CBP Chief Gloria Chavez of the El Paso Sector said that illegal crossings by unaccompanied minors were up 96 percent in the sector for January and February compared to the same period last year.

A similar surge occurred in 2014, following executive action from the Obama administration protecting so-called ‘DREAMers’ who arrived in the country illegally as children. Congress is now considering a bill granting citizenship to DREAMers.

Texas Senator Ted Cruz, who plans to soon visit the border, said the Biden administration, ‘in effect, issued an invitation for unaccompanied children to come to this country.’

HHS earlier this week stopped taking teenagers to the Midland facility for now as the agency opens another emergency holding center at the downtown Dallas convention center, which is expected to reach 400 teenagers Friday.

The Biden administration has also reopened a Trump administration facility in remote Carrizo Springs, Texas, to house migrant children. Abbott said on Friday that that more than 10 percent of the population at the Carrizo Springs location has tested positive for COVID-19.

‘Any time we’re dealing with the massive amount of influx of people coming across the border, that would be a humanitarian crisis and a big challenge now, knowing the magnitude of the spread of COVID in these areas,’ Abbott told Fox News. ‘This is occurring during the course of a pandemic and is endangering lives as we speak.’

HHS has turned to the American Red Cross to care for teenagers in both Midland and Dallas, a departure from the standard practice of having paid, trained staff watch over youths. Red Cross volunteers sit outside portable trailers in Midland to monitor the teenagers staying inside. Staff from HHS and the U.S. Public Health Service are also at both sites.

The Biden administration refuses to allow journalists to visit the holding facilities, a break from the Trump administration, which even at the height of furious criticism allowed the press to tour holding facilities.

But Pfluger and other Midland officials said the Biden administration wasn’t answering their questions or giving them assurance that officials would keep the surrounding community safe. HHS opened the Midland site without notifying some top local officials who say many of their questions aren’t being answered.

The border crisis had created political challenges for the new Biden administration, with Republicans pouncing to accuse the Democrat of the same tactics that drew moral outrage in the Trump era.

Democrats counter by alleging the actual hypocrisy is among Republicans, who are now feigning concern over immigrant children after years of cheering tougher Trump policies.

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has bristled at suggestions that the southern border is in crisis, and White House press secretary Jen Psaki has tried to avoid using the term.

Biden has attempted to discourage men, women and children ready to head to the U.S. border from Mexico, Central America and elsewhere, with hopes of being allowed to more easily cross onto American soil.

‘Don’t leave your town or city or community,’ Biden said during a recent interview with ABC, pleading for more time as his administration works toward longer-term solutions at the border.

Biden has mostly avoided attacks from his party´s progressive wing. One of its top public faces, New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, tweeted of reopening the Trump-era facility in Carrizo Springs, ‘This is not okay, never has been okay, never will be okay – no matter the administration or party.’

But she also added that ‘our fraught, unjust immigration system will not transform’ overnight, pinning the blame for the crisis squarely on Trump.

Crabtree added, ‘I just want them gone, send them back to Mexico. Come across the border the legal way.’

‘People don’t trust what they´re doing. They don´t feel secure,’ said U.S. Rep. August Pfluger, a Republican who represents Midland. ‘The lack of transparency only serves to magnify that problem.’

In a statement earlier this week, HHS said it was rushing to get children out of Border Patrol custody and that emergency sites ‘will provide a safer and less over-crowded environment where children are cared for and processed as quickly as possible.’

The Red Cross says its volunteers in Midland and Dallas ‘have received intensive training in sheltering operations and COVID-19 safety’ and that they had all undergone background checks. The agency declined to say how many hours of training each volunteer had received.

Pfluger was allowed to visit the site soon after it opened and saw the portable units that serve as rooms for each teenager.

‘It’s a professional facility that was intended for workers,’ he said.

    • NBC News – Biden tasks Harris with ‘stemming the migration’ on southern border

The vice president is expected to focus on both curbing the current flow of migrants and coordinating with countries in the region to address the root causes of migration.

WASHINGTON — President Joe Biden announced Wednesday that he has appointed Vice President Kamala Harris to lead efforts on stemming migration across the U.S.-Mexico border as the administration faces growing political pressure to address a surge in undocumented migrant children unaccompanied by parents.

Biden said during an immigration meeting at the White House that he had asked Harris to lead the administration’s efforts with Mexico and the Northern Triangle — El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras, countries that will “need help stemming the movement of so many folks, stemming the migration to our southern border.”

A senior administration official said Harris’s role would focus on “two tracks”: both curbing the current flow of migrants and implementing a long-term strategy that addresses the root causes of migration. Cabinet members, including the secretary of state, are expected to work closely with Harris on these issues.

Biden, who as vice president was tasked by former President Barack Obama with coordinating on similar efforts in Central America, said he learned during that time that “if you deal with the problems in the country, it benefits everyone.” There were a number of issues the U.S. could help the region address that he said were ignored by the previous administration, ranging from violence to natural disasters.

Harris, seated by Biden’s side, echoed the assessment. “There is no question that this is a challenging situation,” she said.

Harris said she planned to work with a number of stakeholders including the private sector, civil society and members of congress who share the administration’s interest in addressing the root causes of migration.

The president’s announcement comes as he has scrambled to find a solution that provides care for thousands of those unaccompanied children during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic while also working with Central American countries to address long-term solutions to migration in that region.

Some service members have questioned why the Pentagon did not address violence during racial injustice protests as harshly as it did the U.S. Capitol riot, and higher-ups are allegedly concerned.

During a training session, some military members said violence from widespread protests last summer should be treated equally to violence that occurred during the Capitol riot on Jan. 6th, McClatchy reported.

“This is coming from every echelon that we’re talking to … Some people may think that, ‘all right, so the events of 6 January happened. How come you’re not looking at the situation that was going on in Seattle prior to that?” said Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Ramón Colón-López, according to McClatchy.

Immediately after the Capitol riot on Jan. 6th, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin ordered day-long training sessions that service members must complete by April 1, McClatchy reported.

Conversations within the training sessions aim “to make sure that military members understand the difference between Seattle and Washington, D.C.,” Colón-López said.

  13. ARAB NEWS – Daesh children attack Al Arabiya reporter Rola Al-Khatib

RIYADH: Children at a refugee camp in Syria housing Daesh families threatened to kill a television journalist for being an “infidel.”

Rola Al-Khatib, who works for Al-Hadath and Al-Arabiya Arabic channels, approached the children in Al-Hawl camp in Kurdish controlled north-eastern Syria.

Footage published by Al-Hadath on Saturday showed the children hurling insults at the reporter, calling her an infidel and pelting her and her camera crew with stones.

Al-Khatib, who is Lebanese and based in Dubai, was reporting on conditions in the increasingly lawless camp housing 60,000 people – mostly women and children.

When she saw the children she approached them but they refused to talk with her.

“I’m not carrying a gun or anything, I just want to talk to you, why do you say I’m infidel?” Al-Khatib asked.

“You should wear hijab before we talk to you,” one of them said.

“What you are wearing is not hijab, not this color, it’s not black.”

When she asked them what they would do in this situation when they grow up, they replied immediately: “We will kill you, we have prepared killings for infidels.”

Al-Khatib told the MBC Egypt show Al-Hekaya with Amr Adib that the camp houses children from 60 different countries who are being raised with extremist views.

She said while Daesh may have been defeated militarily in Syria and Iraq, the ideology remains.

It is home to mostly foreign families of Daesh fighters who were displaced in the final battles against the group.

Dozens of people have been murdered this year at the camp which is run by the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces.

22-year-old Wahib and 20-year-old Ahammoud, both known for Mocro Maffia, were talking with the boy and laughingly told him that he would receive 17,000 euros if he showed his genitals.
The Amsterdammer has been arrested on suspicion of producing and / or distributing child pornography.
For privacy reasons, the police makes no further statements about the man’s identity.
Earlier in the day, the police confirmed in conversation with that they had started an investigation into the images of the livestream.
The boy who was talking to Wahib initially declined, saying he doesn’t have a bank account, after which Wahib asked again and said the amount could also be paid in cash.

  16. reddit – No more Mohammed in Dante’s Inferno because “we didn’t want unnecessarily hurt people”

A new translation of Dante’s Inferno by Lies Lavrijs (Belgium) won’t feature the name of the Prophet Mohammed because she didn’t want to “unnecessarily hurt people”. She cut 3 lines where Dante talks to Mohammed and the latter introduces himself.

They didn’t even leave a footnote with a reference or nothing.

The newspaper article is literally called “No more Mohammed but still popes in Dante’s Inferno” which kind off sums it up. The publisher sees Dante as progressive which I guess is true, though I’m not super familiar with the original. They said the mohammed passage is “no longer fit for this day and age” but the article also points out where to draw the line since homosexuals and a jewish high priest amongst others also appear in the text and they won’t be cut.

If Dante really criticized the church with his work, wouldn’t leaving in Mohammed be more progressive? And in any case, I don’t see how cutting out parts of someone’s original text is going to help anyone…

13 states sue Biden administration over federal oil and gas leasing ban

    By Thomas Catenacci

A coalition of 13 states sued President Joe Biden’s administration Wednesday over its January ban of new oil and gas leasing on federal lands.

The 13-state coalition argued that Biden’s Jan. 27 executive order banning new oil and gas leases on federal lands was unlawful, according to the lawsuit filed Wednesday afternoon in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana. Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry announced the lawsuit alongside state lawmakers and energy officials.

“By executive fiat, Joe Biden and his administration have single-handedly driven the price of energy up — costing the American people where it hurts most, in their pocketbooks,” Landry said during a press conference Wednesday. “Biden’s Executive Orders abandon middle-class jobs at a time when America needs them most and put our energy security in the hands of foreign countries, many of whom despise America’s greatness.”

The herd of Republican governors of Nebraska, Iowa, Wyoming, and Montana has taken issue with Polis’s call for Saturday, March 20, to be observed as “MeatOut Day,” during which residents are asked to replace meat with a plant-based alternative.

All four Republican governors issued proclamations in response, declaring upcoming meat days and even meat months as a show of solidarity with America’s ranchers. Nebraska governor Pete Ricketts declared March 20 to be Meat on the Menu Day, explicitly urging Nebraskans to “purchase and eat beef, pork, chicken, lamb, or another kind of meat.”

  26. SPAIN – Ayman Adlbi: The main representative of Islam in Spain arrested in an operation investigating a jihadist financing scheme

Mohamad Ayman Adlbi, the president of the Islamic Commission of Spain (CIE), the main representative entity of Muslims in Spain that maintains a direct line with the State administrations, has been arrested this Wednesday by the National Police in the framework of an operation anti-terrorist. They accuse him of being allegedly related to a financing network of the jihadist organization Al Qaeda. After taking a statement from him at the police station, he was released on charges. Along with Adlbi, 74, at least two other people were arrested, although the operation continues, according to police sources.

Agents of the General Information Commissariat (CGI) of the National Police surprised the Syrian-born doctor, Mohamad Ayman Adlbi, at dawn on Wednesday at his home in Madrid and took him into custody, as he anticipated The confidential. At the police station they took a statement from him for his alleged connection to a jihadist terrorist financing network, and later they released him until he is summoned by the judge of the National Court who is instructing this investigation.

Since he was elected last July, Adlbi is president of the Islamic Commission of Spain (CIE), the body that manages all the activities of Muslims with the Government and the autonomous communities, in everything that has to do with the mosques, cemeteries, or schools, for example. Nobody from the entity responded yesterday to the calls of this newspaper to collect their version of what happened.

Adlbi assumed the presidency of the CIE last July. It was two months after he died of covid who for many years had been its president, the also Syrian doctor Riay Tatary. All the Islamic religious communities in Spain are represented in the CIE.

Tatary was a charismatic man, a historical Islamic representative, who had a strong and recognized social and political roots in Spain, and who was imam of the mosque in the district of Estrecho

His current successor, Adlbi, is also president of the Union of Islamic Communities of Spain (Ucide), in eternal rivalry with the Spanish Federation of Islamic Religious Entities (Feeri). Both organizations belong to the CIE and represent the two main factions of the Muslim community in Spain, with a predominance of the first, which brings together a greater number of associations.

Since the death of Tatary, the change in the presidency of the CIE – which is carried out with the agreement of the Ministry of Justice (Subdirectorate General for Relations with Religious Confessions) – has kept the information agents of the forces in suspense. security, since it is a position of maximum influence and relevance for the knowledge and control of the Islamic community in Spain.

The operation that has now led to the arrest of Adlbi takes root, according to police sources, with a previous one, from 2019, in which another ten citizens of Syrian origin were arrested. They called it “Operation Wamor.” Then, the agents managed to unravel a clandestine financial system based on the falsification of invoices, concepts and records of different companies. The detainees allegedly withdrew money from each legal operation by substituting the actual amount of the operation on the invoice for another of lesser value. The difference went to a “box b” and sent, in small quantities and in different ways, to the Syrian region of Idlib, where some of the detainees had family ties to members of the Al Qaeda militias that subsist there.

  27. Boulder Shooter is ISIS Sympathizer, Leftists Hardest Hit – Frontpagemag

    5-6 minutes

Another opportunity to shore up their sagging “white terror threat” narrative is lost.

A man murdered ten people in a Boulder, Colorado supermarket Monday. No details were immediately released about the shooter, but Leftist “journalists,” working from a photo of the shooter, seized upon the shooting to shore up their sagging narrative of “white supremacist terrorism.” There was just one problem: the massacre was actually, after a four-year hiatus, a new incidence of Islamic jihad on American soil.

Even after the shooter’s name was revealed as Ahmad Al Issa (which is how he himself wrote it on his Facebook and Twitter accounts), establishment media reports continued to give his name as “Alissa,” which of course is a common first name for women in the U.S., and thus gives the impression that he is an American non-Muslim. Were “journalists” trying to obscure the fact that he is a Muslim migrant ISIS sympathizer? Of course they were.

      28-36 minutes

Why U.S. authorities and the establishment media are trying to obscure who Ahmad Al Issa is and what he believes.

Editors’ note: As we witness U.S. authorities and the establishment media trying to de-Islamize the Jihad in Boulder and to obscure the fact that the Jihadist perpetrator, Ahmad Al Issa, is a Muslim migrant ISIS sympathizer, a vital question confronts us: why does the Left consistently engage in Jihad Denial? Why is it so invested in denying the Islamic roots of Islamic Jihad?

This is, without doubt, one of the most pertinent questions of our time, especially now with the Boulder Jihad — and its tragic victims — hovering right before our very eyes. Frontpage Mag editors have therefore deemed it vital to run, below, an excerpt from Jamie Glazov’s book, Jihadist Psychopath: How He is Charming, Seducing, and Devouring Us. The excerpt, which is part of the introduction to the book, details the Left’s standard practice of trying to hide and camouflage the true sources of Islamic terror. This documentation equips us with the understanding of why Jihadists like Ahmad Al Issa are able to sow the destruction that they do today — and so easily. It also sets the foundation for our insight into why exactly the Left practices Jihad Denial — and what all the specious ingredients of that denial entail. These facts will all be unveiled in several published segments of Jihadist Psychopath in our forthcoming issues of Frontpage Mag.

Biden declared that he was “still waiting for more information regarding the shooter, his motive, the weapons he used. The guns, the magazines, the weapons, the modifications that have apparently taken place to those weapons that are involved here.”

Why do the modifications to the Syrian immigrant’s weapons matter more than his motive?

“I certainly agree that we are facing a more dangerous period than we did in Oklahoma City at that time,” said Biden Attorney General pick Merrick Garland in his Senate confirmation hearing. The reference was to the 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building that killed 168 people.

Garland supervised the prosecution of the bomber, Timothy McVeigh. On the other hand, according to remarks Garland made before confirmation as U.S. Attorney General, that deadly bombing would not even qualify as an act of terrorism.

According to Garland, nationwide BLM-Antifa violence does not qualify as terrorism because it took place at night. So if Timothy McVeigh had detonated his bomb at midnight, he too would have escaped the domestic terrorist tag. So much for the great legal mind all attorneys general are supposed to display.

  30. NYT – Officer Brian Sicknick Died After the Capitol Riot. New Videos Show How He Was Attacked.

New videos obtained by The New York Times show publicly for the first time how the U.S. Capitol Police officer who died after facing off with rioters on Jan. 6 was attacked with chemical spray.

The officer, Brian D. Sicknick, who had been guarding the west side of the Capitol, collapsed later that day and died the next night. Little had been known about what happened to Officer Sicknick during the assault, and the previously unpublished videos provide new details about when, where and how he was attacked, as well as about the events leading up to the encounter.

[…]On Monday, federal prosecutors alleged in court that Mr. Khater and Mr. Tanios were carrying Frontiersman bear spray, which is manufactured by Sabre, a company that makes self-defense products including pepper spray and stun guns. Though made from the same ingredient, bear spray can be many times more powerful than pepper sprays sold for self-defense and is not meant for use on humans.

Washington’s chief medical examiner has yet to release Officer Sicknick’s autopsy or cause of death. Michael R. Sherwin, who as acting U.S. attorney in Washington had been leading the Capitol riot investigations, told “60 Minutes” that if evidence connected the chemicals sprayed at Officer Sicknick with his death, “that’s a murder case.”
