I think Aldous Huxley’s idea of a Utopia can be found in his novel ‘Island’ (1960?), which is a sort of hippy set-up. However, it is overthrown by a military dictatorship.
One of the all time greatest novels. I refer to it almost daily in explaining social phenomena in these bullshit times. And overall an incrediby sad story.
The story not really about the hippie set-up, that’s just background material, it’s really about the military overthrow. But until then, what a way to live.
