For most of my life, in fact, Canadian cultural life was dominated by small cliques of Ontario WASPs whose antiquated conception of Canada centred on men in red serge, rugged Arctic landscapes, long canoe trips, big furry animals, sentimental hockey reveries, the cod fishery, the Plains of Abraham, socialized medicine and the monarchy. Even by the late 20th century, this had become a dull and dated vision of our country — a sentimental pastiche with little relevance to an increasingly urban and multicultural country. And so it shouldn’t have surprised us that when progressives made a dedicated push to redefine our national soul, they encountered little resistance.
The alternative vision of our country that has now become ascendant within progressive circles (the arts, in particular) has little to do with Group of Seven paintings or the Canadian Pacific Railroad. Instead, it casts Canada as a genocidal colonial state existing in an ongoing condition of original sin. This national vision is nihilistic and bleak, and has little support among ordinary Canadians. But it does at least offer its adherents a heroic subplot, by which Indigenous peoples (artists and writers, in particular) are celebrated as a priestly caste of moral savants who shall confer grace upon the rest of us. And even a boring old settler like me has to admit that’s a lot more exciting than a CBC documentary about Lawren Harris freezing his ass off on Mount Robson.
If you had to choose between a flu inflicting nearly the normal seasonal flu death rate, and a government mutation inflicting a death, despair, and financial destruction rate much higher than any seasonal flu rate, which would you choose?
Each disease has different symptoms. One has fever, chills, aches and cough. The other eliminates a country’s middle class.
Funnily enough (isn’t funnily the funniest little word?), it occurs to me how similar countries are to living cells. Both have borders to defend. Both suffer pitched battles once invaded. Both identify their primary pathogen as political.
The real pathogen inflicting us now is the unrecognized invasion of tyranny by the masses.
So, taking this further, the signals intelligence of a living cell or body always recognizes an invasion in progress, whereas our body politic currently remains largely oblivious. Both our countries’ civilian signals intelligence (msm) and military counterparts have become a single counter-state, refusing to acknowledge any breach of our gates.
2020: The Year Radical Islamic Terror Resurged, Despite Pandemic and Lockdowns (breitbart, Dec 30, 2020)

“Despite the lockdowns in many countries due to the Wuhan virus pandemic, Europe saw at least seven terrorist attacks in 2020, with radical Islamic terror seeing a particular resurgence in France.
The first Islamist terror attack took place prior to the coronavirus pandemic in January, when a Salafist named Nathan C. stabbed three people in the French commune of Vileljuif, killing one and injuring the two others.
In February, a man was shot dead by police in Streatham, England, after he had stabbed multiple people. The attacker was later identified as Sudesh Amman, who had been released from prison just days prior, having been convicted of terrorism offences in 2018 for disseminating terrorist material.
Following the outbreak of the coronavirus, Europe initially saw fewer radical Islamic terror attacks, although there was a mass stabbing by a Sudanese migrant yelling “Allahu Akbar” in the French commune of Romans-sur-Isère in April that left two dead and at least seven more wounded.
Several other migrants were later also arrested in connection to the attack, and investigators later revealed that the migrant had been angry “that he lives in a country of non-believers.”
England also suffered another terror attack in June, when 25-year-old Libyan refugee Khairi Saadallah took a knife to six people at a park in Reading, killing three of them, including an American citizen, after being released early from prison.
But a new wave of attacks was sparked by the September republishing of Mohammed cartoons by the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo at the start of a trial for accomplices of the terrorists who attacked the offices of the magazine in 2015, killing a dozen people.
The first attack that was said to have been motivated by the republishing of the Mohammed cartoons came in late September, when a Pakistani migrant attacked two people with a meat cleaver outside the former offices of the magazine. The 18-year-old later admitted to police he wanted to attack Charlie Hebdo employees, although they had long left the premises.
Just weeks later on October 16th, French teacher Samuel Paty was beheaded in the street by a Chechen refugee in the department of Yvelines. The terrorist was said to have been motivated by the fact Paty had shown his class the Mohammed cartoons published by Charlie Hebdo during a class on freedom of expression.
The killing of Paty shocked France and led to Presiden Emmanuel Macron promising to crack down on Islamist groups and political Islam across the country.
Another terror attack struck the French city of Nice on October 29th, when a Tunisian illegal immigrant murdered three churchgoers in the Notre-Dame Basilica, nearly beheading one of the three victims before being subdued by French police and arrested.
21-year-old Brahim Aouissaoui was later charged by French authorities for the murders, with investigators finding a picture of the Chechen refugee who murdered Samuel Paty on his mobile phone.
October also saw a terror attack take place in the German city of Dresden when a Syrian migrant attacked two tourists, killing one and injuring another with a knife. (The incident was classified as radical Islamic terrorism only weeks after the attack.)
The suspect in the case, 20-year-old Abdullah A H H, had come to Germany during the height of the migrant crisis and been released from juvenile detention just days prior to the attack.
The Austrian capital of Vienna was the next target of radical Islamic terror when 20-year-old Kujtim Fejzulai shot and killed four people in the centre of the city in a district known for its bars and nightlife and injured 22 others.
Fejzulai, a dual national with citizenship in Austria and North Macedonia, had previously attempted to join the Islamic State terrorist group, being convicted for this in April of 2019 and sentenced to 22 months in prison — but, like several other jihadists, he was given an early release.
Following the attack, Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz vowed to ban political Islam entirely, saying: “In the fight against political Islam, we will create a criminal offence called ‘political Islam’ in order to be able to take action against those who are not terrorists themselves, but who create the breeding ground for it.”
While radical Islamic terrorism saw the most fatalities and the most attacks in 2020, an attempted Brexit-related terror attack took place on January 31st when radical Irish republican terrorists planted a bomb on a truck in the British province of Northern Ireland that was set to explode as the United Kingdom left the European Union.
Police said the group, known as the Continuity IRA (Irish Republican Army), planted the bomb aboard the wrong truck and that it never left the company yard. The terror group had intended to explode the bomb at a dock in Scotland.
2020 saw few far-right terrorist attacks in Europe. A mass shooting in the German city of Hanau that left eleven dead was initially thought to have been motivated by far-right ideology, but German police later stated that the suspect, Tobias Rathjen, was not linked to any known terrorist groups and was not motivated by far-right ideas.
Instead, investigators said Rathjen was motivated by a conspiracy theory in which he believed he was being monitored by a secret German spy agency.”

“Over 100,000 homes will need to be built in England every year as a result of mass migration, analysis from the Migration Watch UK think tank has found.
A new home will need to be built every five minutes until the early 2040s as a result of immigration, representing 57 per cent of all new homes, or 107,400 homes per year, according to an analysis conducted of Office for National Statistics (ONS) figures by Migration Watch.
The think tank found that the impact of foreign arrivals in the country will require nearly 2.7 million homes to be built in the country by the year 2043, which they noted would be equivalent to nine cities the size of Glasgow.
The report said that even if migration fell to 2013 levels, when between 180,000 and 190,000 people were immigrating, then immigration would still account for nearly half of the total number of houses by the 2040s, or 67,800 per year.
There are concerns, however, that Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s uncapped points-based immigration system could lead to a dramatic increase in immigration to the United Kingdom.
In a press release seen by Breitbart London, Migration Watch said: “The arrival of a new city from overseas every year cannot help but add hugely to pressure on communities up and down the UK to bulldoze countryside – even ‘protected’ green belt land — in order to make way for housing.”
“Tighter immigration control is necessary to tackle the housing crisis and to protect our precious green space,” the think tank added.
A study in July from the UK Centre of Ecology and Hydrology (UKCEH) found that nearly 835,000 acres of land have been concreted over in Britain.
Satellite images showed that between the years 1990 and 2015, some 1,303 square miles (3,376 square kilometres) of land was overtaken by urban sprawl in the country.
During the same time period, the population of Britain rose from 57 million in 1990 to around 65.6 million in 2016. The massive jump in population was driven almost entirely by mass migration, with 90 per cent of population growth in England between 2005 and 2014 coming as a result of immigration.
Commenting on the housing report on Wednesday, Migration Watch chairman Alp Mehmet said: “These figures are staggering. Something like one in every two homes needed to meet England’s soaring demand looks set to be the result of immigration over the next 25 years.”
“That’s the case even if the colossal scale of overseas net arrivals fall to a level not seen for years,” he cautioned.
“Reducing immigration is essential in order to halt the gobbling-up of green space. When that goes it’s gone forever,” Mehmet warned.”

I read the complicated technical article and it didn’t say anything about the congressman-elect’s heart attack being caused by the coronavirus. Sure, they have observed cardiac changes, such as raised troponin levels in some cases, but I can find no mention of this particular case being caused by the virus. Heart attacks are generally caused by the decades-long deterioration of an artery, a perforation, and a bleed-out resulting in a blood clot resulting in a blockage resulting in cell-death in the newly oxygen-starved region of the heart and sometimes death…
With respect, I see no reason to think the poor man died of COVID-19. Somewhat ironically, though, is my belief that the virus would almost certainly kill me if I caught it, so I don’t take it lightly…

The 32-year-old suspect from Ghana confessed to killing Agitu Ideo Gudeta, 42, telling police the two had argued over unpaid work, Italian news agency LaPresse reported.
Gudeta died from blows to the head with a hammer and was raped in her home in the northern Italian province of Trento, according to LaPresse.
Neighbors who checked in after she failed to show up for an appointment found her body.
Gudeta studied sociology at the University of Trento and returned home to Ethiopia after receiving her degree. In 2010, she fled conflict in Ethiopia and returned to Italy.
She settled in the remote Valle del Mocheni area, where she set up a business raising goats and making cheese and other products from their milk. Italian media had chronicled her success building the business, which she named The Happy Goat.
The U.N. refugee agency said it was “pained” by Gudeta’s death, and that her entrepreneurial spirit “demonstrated how refugees can contribute to the societies that host them.”
“Despite her tragic end, the UNHCR hopes that Agitu Ideo Gudeta will be recorded and celebrated as a model of success and of integration and inspire refugees that fight to rebuild their lives,” the agency said.”

Once the debate is over and the vote to uphold or reject the Contest is held and (if I am right) the Contest is upheld they will vote for President and Vice President the President will be chosen in the House (The Peoples House) and a straight Party Line vote gives Trump his Second Term. In the Senate right now we have 50 Republicans and 48 Democrats. Even if the Dems win both Georgia races it will be a tie and the President of the Senate (the current VP) will cast the tie breaking vote. I can’t see Pence voting for Harris.

Hold off on the antidepressants until you really need them, I think that once the voting on accepting the Electoral Votes or throwing them out a lot of people in both Houses are going to decide they don’t want to go on the record approving of the steal. That plus a very large number of Trump Supporters in the streets will make them vote to reject the electoral votes of the contested states.
This isn’t certain but it is the best chance we have right now.
Also Trump isn’t acting like a man who will be moving in less then a month, he is going about the business as President like he intends to stay for another 4 years.

As Republicans began pushing back against the rigged election, a quote about voting from Joseph Stalin began circulating on social media. “The people who cast the votes decide nothing. The people who count the votes decide everything,” is how variations of it went.
As soon as the quote went viral, the media’s fact checkers tried to suppress it.
USA Today’s fact checker rated it as false, claiming that Stalin had never said it based on speaking with two history professors at Vanderbilt University who vowed that they never heard of it. One of the professors, who serves as the Director of Undergraduate Russian and East European Studies, ranted that it was, “an example of American right-wing paranoia, active manipulation of public opinion, or outright and fascism”. Truly a quote worthy of Stalin.
But had the ‘fact checker’ and the professors just checked Oxford’s Essential Quotations, they would have found it. You don’t need a PhD or a fact checker title: just a modicum of integrity.
Politifact was more ambitious about humiliating itself by contacting the Stalin Digital Archive with the Russian State Archive of Social and Political History. The quote wouldn’t be there because it comes from Stalin’s former secretary, Boris Bazhanov, who fled the USSR and wrote a memoir exposing the crimes and corruption of the Soviet regime. Asking the Russian State Archive for that quote is like asking the cosa nostra to fact check a mafia informant’s recollections.

It’s time for the West to start deceiving China.
It has long been clear that Chinese data has been systematically distorted by Chinese reporters themselves. The first statement to this effect was made in the initial report by the Joint Congressional Commission, of which I was co-author, which stated that all Chinese data were based on a hoax. I have repeated this claim several times.
The motive for this distortion is easily discerned: the taxes levied on the provinces by the central government, once the data have been filed. The provincial governments do not wish to share their wealth with the federal government, and hence they deliberately understate their income. The net effect of these changes is to report inflated income at the federal level, restrict the overall taxation of the provinces, and increase cash flow to provincial government treasuries. That is why the cash flow to the central government has been so low for such a long time. It is also the reason for the ongoing investigations by the Chinese federal government into regional withholding by regional administrations, and mounting accusations of cheating against regional officers.

The U.K.-based Centre for Economics and Business Research believes that, due to China’s superior response to COVID-19, the Chinese economy will become the world’s largest by 2028, five years earlier than previously forecast.
“For some time, an overarching theme of global economics has been the economic and soft power struggle between the United States and China,” the Centre wrote in a December 26 report. “The COVID-19 pandemic and corresponding economic fallout have certainly tipped this rivalry in China’s favor.”

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Tuesday introduced a bill that combines the $2,000 direct payments requested by President Donald Trump with other issues the president backs, including repealing a law that shields big tech companies and a review of voter fraud allegations.
News of the new bill (pdf) came after McConnell earlier blocked a request for unanimous consent for the CASH Act from Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), which would grant $2,000 direct payments but was missing the two other demands Trump had outlined when signing the omnibus spending measure and attached COVID relief bills on Sunday.
In a floor speech, McConnell pointed to Trump’s conditions for signing the $900 billion stimulus bill on Sunday, which include an increase direct payments to Americans from $600 to $2,000, limit legal protections on tech companies, and for Congress to ensure the integrity of the 2020 election.

Police Report Alleging Nashville Bomber Was Building Bombs in RV Was Sent to FBI in 2019
The FBI did nothing.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation was sent a Nashville Police Department police report in which the Nashville bomber’s then-girlfriend alleged he was building explosive devices in his RV in 2019. The agency took no investigatory action.
Nashville Police detectives visited Anthony Warner’s home in August of 2019 after receiving a call from Warner’s then-girlfriend, who had spoken of being suicidal and was emotionally distraught. The woman, whose identity has been redacted, mentioned that Warner had been building bombs in an RV in his property- a vehicle which appears to have been used in the Christmas Day bombing outside an AT&T building in the city.
Warner’s girlfriend had emphasized Warner’s discussion of military topics. An attorney who represented the woman in question at one point, Raymond Throckmorton, also was named in the report to the Nashville Police, stating that Warner “knows what he is doing and is capable of making a bomb.”

“Canada’s immigration minister is trying to accept U.S.-based illegal migrants who are going to be sent back to their home countries, according to the Washington Post.
The minister is now offering Canadian residency to several migrants in U.S. detention centers who face deportation, according to a pro-migration report in the newspaper.
“If that’s what they want to do, more power to them,” said Mark Krikorian, the director of the Center for Immigration Studies. He added:
It saves us money because we don’t have to deport the people [from the United States]. Maybe it will create an incentive for these illegal immigrants to leave on their own. If there’s a place for them to go rather than return to their home country, then more of them might actually leave.
The Post reports:
Now at least one has been [sent home]. At least eight others, including [Burundi citizen Apollinaire] Nduwimana, are being held at a federal detention facility in Batavia, N.Y., many with final removal orders. One of them, a Ghanaian man, was pulled off a plane this month, avoiding deportation only after a lawyer obtained a temporary stay of removal.
Canadian Immigration Minister Marco Mendicino this month exempted five of those asylum seekers from the border restrictions, according to Kate Webster, their Toronto-based lawyer. Another application is pending. That means they will be allowed to enter Canada, if the United States releases them.
Many illegals in the United States have already moved from President Donald Trump’s pro-American enforcement policies to seek residency in Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s pro-migrant Canada, the Post notes:
More than 58,000 asylum seekers have entered Canada at such crossings since 2017. Nearly 15,000 of their claims have been accepted, around 12,000 have been rejected and almost 30,000 are pending.
Under Canadian rules, the rejected migrants are supposedly returned to the United States, where some have already gone through the multi-year legal process of deportation filings, reviews, and appeals.
But deportations are bad for business, especially for immigration lawyers, so Canada’s government is bending to pressure from pro-migration groups to save U.S.-based illegal immigrants from being sent home.
Canada has dramatically raised immigration numbers in recent years, amid cheerleading by progressives, business groups, and immigration lawyers.
At least 11 million foreign citizens are living illegally in the United States.

“Jihadists on Tuesday attacked a village close to a huge gas project in northern Mozambique’s Cabo Delgado province, in the latest assault by the shadowy group, sources said.
Armed men attacked the small village of Monjane, they said.
“The population fled to the resettlement village of Senga,” which lies five kilometers (three miles) away in the project zone, a security source told AFP. The source was unable to give details about any casualties.
The group, known locally as Al Shabaab, launched attacks in the predominantly Muslim province in October 2017. Last year, it declared allegiance to the so-called Islamic State group.
More than 2,300 people have died, according to the US-based NGO Armed Conflict Location & Event Data (ACLED) project, while the government says at least 500,000 people have fled their homes.
Cabo Delgado is the site of a scheme to build a liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant — the centerpiece of a government dream to reap riches from Mozambique’s offshore energy fields.
The French company Total, a major investor in the scheme, told AFP it was “closely monitoring the situation” in Cabo Delgado but did not confirm the attack.
Monjane was attacked in May 2018. Ten people were beheaded, some of them children.
Mozambique’s armed forces, which have been struggling to contain the insurgency, last week said they had carried out several operations in which they killed 37 jihadists, seized firearms, and destroyed vehicles and boats used for coastal attacks.”
