A Centers for Disease Control report released in September shows that masks and face coverings are not effective in preventing the spread of COVID-19, even for those people who consistently wear them.
A study conducted in the United States in July found that when they compared 154 “case-patients,” who tested positive for COVID-19, to a control group of 160 participants from the same health care facility who were symptomatic but tested negative, over 70 percent of the case-patients were contaminated with the virus and fell ill despite “always” wearing a mask.
“In the 14 days before illness onset, 71% of case-patients and 74% of control participants reported always using cloth face coverings or other mask types when in public,” the report stated.
Johnson & Johnson’s COVID-19 vaccine study has been paused due to an unexplained illness in a study participant, the company announced on Monday.
“We have temporarily paused further dosing in all our COVID-19 vaccine candidate clinical trials, including the Phase 3 ENSEMBLE trial, due to an unexplained illness in a study participant,” J&J said in a statement on its website.
“Following our guidelines, the participant’s illness is being reviewed and evaluated by the ENSEMBLE independent Data Safety Monitoring Board (DSMB) as well as our internal clinical and safety physicians.”
The company added that it is learning more about the participant’s illness, and that it is “important to have all the facts” before it shares additional information.
(Since no-one ever has “all the facts” its a decent bet that we will never have any of them)
During his first rally since swiftly defeating coronavirus, President Trump again slammed lockdown policies, and declared that he was right about resisting them all along, after the World Health Organisation admitted that countries should not be using lockdowns as a way of controlling the virus.
“The World Health Organisation came out a little while ago and admitted that Donald Trump was right. The lockdowns are doing tremendous damage to these Democrat-run states where they are in lockdown,” Trump told the huge crowd in Florida Monday night.
“They corrected themselves today and said I was right,” the President reiterated
4. The phoney model used to force these measures
SAGE minutes for meeting 22 Sept startling in showing reliance on modelling of an "exponential rise" in "cases" to lead to recommending a package of restrictions, both circuit-breaker type and longer term over several months. Has appearance of another model-based panic. pic.twitter.com/WEhnJc02q2
